[Honourable Villain]

"In other words, it's just another way to give people heart attacks." Ryu commented with slight humor and he felt a bit better when she cuddled up to him. He saw no harm in trusting her now, trusting that she would send him away if he needed to go.
But now that he thought about it, he was so used to being invisible to others. If he was able to be seen again, how would he react? Even if someone else saw him, it was probably just going to be for a couple of seconds. Moments if even.

Alex chuckled. "Yeah, well, just so you're aware," she told him, "because at the moment, you are no longer a pale, lifeless void. You look more like a...I dunno, like somebody who spends a little too much time at the computer screen. You look more normal. More alive." She looked up at him. The blue was obvious in his eyes now. They were bright, sky blue. Lovely.

Ryu allowed a small smile to curl into his expression again. "I never really was a huge fan of getting a tan, but instead of computers, try books and spending too much time inside writing about useless things." He sighed softly and saw that she was looking at him again. Ryu didn't mind, he liked watching Alex. Locking gazes with her allowed him to see how she was feeling and take in on how beautiful she looked with the now dimming glow from the window.

Alex was suddenly aware that she was staring at Ryu, and even more so that he was staring at her. She bit her lower lip and blushed, but didn't want to break their gaze.
"You're doing it again," she said softly.

Ryu tilted his head a bit at Alex's comment. "Doing what again?" He asked lightly and blinked out of his gaze. After noticing her blush he realized that he was staring, he too wanted to blush but he wasn't sure if it was noticable. Hopefully not or else he would end up even more embarressed.
"Sorry," He added shortly after and glanced down at their hands after willing them to thread through her fingers. Ryu made an observation that he indeed was a bit paler than Alex in skin color. Well, he was feeling like himself at least. He was no longer cold, no longer feeling like an empty space. His smile returned after awhile, it's been so long since he felt like this.

"Don't be sorry," Alex told him. "I just...I dunno, it makes me kinda self-conscious...when you look at me like that. I don't know why I'm so interesting."
She nestled her head on his shoulder and watched as his fingers intertwined with hers. They seemed to fit almost perfectly together. She smiled softly in one corner of her mouth. This just felt so...perfect.

Ryu's smiled grew after hearing Alex speak again. She didn't have a clue on how interesting she really was. Everybody was interesting, it was just a matter on how interesting they really were. It varied if they caught his attention or not. "How could I not find you interesting?" Ryu asked. "Out of all the people I've encountered for the passed few years as a ghost, you're the first one to repsond to me." He explained but kept his gaze on their hands until he decided to look up and around the room. "It's been years since I've spoke to someone, touched someone without them flipping a lid." An amused huffed escaped his lips. "Need I say more?"

Alex listened to him speak and realized that he had a point. She would have gone insane had no one spoken to her in three years. Completely insane.
"No, I understand," she said. She was quiet for a moment, then added, "That doesn't explain why I'm so interesting to look at, though. I'm sure you've had plenty of time to just look at people in the past few years."

Ryu was a bit relieved to hear that she understood. That was a first for him. But then after hearing her say that she was not interesting to look at, he sighed a bit and hung his head forward over his chest with an amused smile. This was rather entertaining.
"To be honest with you, yes, I have seen a few people. Well, all the ones that moved in and out of that one house," He replied and lifted his head a bit once more. "But it was either they were too much of a control freak or they were a bit too paranoid." He shrugged slightly and recalled a few of the invaders. Ryu had been there for so long, every stranger that stepped into his home felt like an invasion of privacy. Imagine someone walking into your house and deciding to move your things around to make room for theirs and completely ignore your protests. That's what made him ticked off in the beginning.
Later in the years, just before Alex and Damian found him, he became quiet and a bit depressed. "As for my interest in you," Ryu began. "You always manage to keep my curious. I don't really know why, but you do."

Alex felt her cheeks flushed even brighter and looked away. She brought her knees up to her chest, leaving her head perched on his shoulder. She smiled softly. "I keep you curious," she repeated. "I guess that means... Gosh. I dunno. That's a good thing, I hope."
