One X One with Honorable Villain & Vespertina

(That's understandable, it's alright. ^^ I'm sure we'll pick it back up. I have an idea with Damian so hopefully that would help P:)

Ryu gave a small smile at Alex's reply and he didn't hesitate to get a slightly tighter grip on her with the only arm he had around her with his hand still resting just above her hip. He didn't mind staying like this for awhile longer, almost half heartedly wishing that they could stay like this forever but that was probably too much to ask for. With hsi free hand, he reached up to brush away Alex's bangs free from her eyes and locked them just behind her ear. His fingers then gently traced her jaw-line before falling back to his lap.
Ryu no longer felt that cold the longer he was next to Alex. The cold void seemed to melt away as her warmth invaded his body like the plague, slowly but surely speading through his entire body. It was strange but yet he liked it.

Alex's heart jumped when she felt the soft, cool touch of Ryu's fingers against her skin. She liked the cool sensation that came with his touch. It was reassuring and loving. She loved it.
She tilted her head back a bit and nestled her nose against the nape of his neck, then sighed. Ryu was by far the nicest ghost she'd ever met. A little shy, not incredibly talkative, but definitely the nicest.

Ryu didn't mind Alex's movement, instead he kept still and continued to bask in Alex's warmth. He had nearly forgotten what it was like to be affectionate, old memories were beginning to creep up on him once more but they were easy to ignore. Alex was different from Claire, very much different. But he liked how passive Alex was when he was around.
Dead or alive, people tend to veer away from him. He was just a very solitary individual but some people took it the wrong way and others followed suit. When Alex wanted to be, she could be up beat and cheerful like his sister. Ryu missed his younger sister dearly and Alex seemed to remind him of her in so many ways. But really, Ryu appreciated how much comfort Alex offered him when he was at his lowest. Even with a slim chance of turning violent, Alex managed to stop him on a dime without even trying.
Ryu leaned his head back a bit against the headboard of the bed but still kept Alex close to him. "I can't thank you enough Alex, you've helped me with so much." He said lightly and wasn't really sure if he wanted to say that out lud just yet, but he had a feeling and had the urge to thank her many times.

Alex smiled softly when she heard Ryu speak. "You're welcome," she murmured. "But I wouldn't go thanking me yet. We haven't made all that much progress beyond finding your past, so...you could still be here awhile." She took a deep breath, then sighed. He smelled good. Like vanilla. Cold vanilla. "You are just so cold," she said softly. "Almost like the kitchen floor on December mornings. Freezing. It's so weird."

Ryu's expression fell a bit when Alex mentioned about him being cold. He didn't know why but almost all ghosts were cold. It wasn't weird for him now, he's been like this as far as he could remember. Or at least ever since he found himself a ghost. But he lightened up when she compared him to a floor. "It's not like I did it on purpose," He shrugged a bit and then lifted his free hand once more to gently grab a small section of Alex's hair. His grey eyes became curious again as he studied the few strands he had between his fingers. It never ceased to amaze him that he was so close to life but he could never really have it, no matter how much he touched it.

Alex watched Ryu's fingers as they played with the small strand of her hair. It was so strange how much he seemed perfectly alive, yet was obviously nonexistent to the rest of the world. She had a theory about the concept. If ghosts could steal energy or life force from someone, couldn't they reanimated themselves if they obtained enough?
"Is my hair fascinating?" Alex chuckled softly.

Ryu's small smile returned to the corners of his lips at the sound of Alex's voice and the words that formed from it. He was probably creeping her out with his strange actions but he couldn't help himself. "More than fascinating," Ryu replied with slight but yet obvious humor. "It's beautiful." He finished and released the strands after one final twirl to glance at Alex's expression.

Alex opened her mouth as her cheeks flushed red, but nothing came out. Her lips twitched into an embarrassed smile and her eyes drifted down to her lap. "It's not that pretty...brown in like, the most common color ever, and...it's hard to brush. It's all messy. It's not that interesting."

Ryu's smile grew and he softly placed two of his fingers over Alex's lips just as soon as she finished talking. "Only to you it is," He said lightly and gave Alex a brief kiss on her forehead. His hand then shifted away from her mouth to stroke her cheek before pulling away. "Silly girl." He chuckled.

Alex froze when she felt Ryu place his fingers over her lips. Then she smiled softly when he spoke and rested her head back on his shoulder, her eyes fluttering closed again. She sighed softly. "You're gonna make me self-centered or something if you keep complimenting me."
