"H-Husband?" she asked then shoved it aside. Nick held out a hand and Sarah's mother shook it. "Hello, mrs Jones. Nice to meet you. I'm Nicholas Tesla." She frowned and withdrew her hand. "Telsa?" Nick nodded. "Son of Daniel Tesla?" "Yep" Dan said and she got mad. "Sarah, get away from that boy at once."

Sarah's mum glared and growled at Dan and Nick. "I said get away, Sarah. He's just like his dad; a bully, a liar and a thief!" She reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her inside. Nick grabbed her other arm and pulled, but not as hard as the female. He didn't want to hurt her.

She stopped and her dad emerged, red faced. He punched Dan for bullying her mm back in high school and threathened Nick. "Come near my daughter again and I swear I will break your neck" he growled menacingly and pulled Sarah's arm away from him. Nick stood there, tears appearing as the door slammed shut.

Nick heard the desperation in Sarah's voice and put his hand on the door as Dan tried to stop his nosebleed with some tissue. "I know you do" he called back. "I'll be back for you, I promise." "Go to your room, and don't move" shouted her father. Nick stepped back and looked up. He had an idea.
