"Not even going to fight?" Kayla asked, the disappointment clear in her voice. She had been hoping for her first duty to put up a little fight.

Jay frowned and looked down at Bree. He would be a better father, he had to. He was a horrible father as it was, he looked down in shame.

Damon shook her head silently as he looked at her, he couldn't hurt her.

Kyra walked out after a while, she gently took Bree to feed her.

Kayla looked at him in confusion. "Why?" She asked, curious.

Jay let Kyra take her and sat on the chair silently, staring a the ground. He was a bad father, he had to try harder, to be a better dad for Bree and Mia. He wasn't doing a good job so far.

"Because I love you." he replied softly.

"Mia has a fever." she said as she fed Bree a bottle of milk.

Kayla looked even more confused. "But you don't know me and I don't know you." She said.

Jay nodded silently, still looking down. He felt even worse as he thought about what a terrible father he was. "Should I leave?" He asked Kyra hesitantly. "I'm not much a father, a good one anyway." He said, looking up at hr quietly.

Damon smiled softly, "You are my Kayla."

Kyra blinked, she shook her head, "No, no, never."

Kayla was beyond confused. "Then who are you and who am I?" She asked.

Jay looked at her and gave a small silent thoughtful nod.

"I am Damon, you are Kayla." he said softly.

Kyra burped Bree and laid her ion her bed, she hugged Jay, "Don't leave me."

Kayla nodded and said nothing, thinking as she still held him pinned.

"I don't want to leave you." Jay said hugging her. "But I'm not doing much good around here for our family."

Damon silently stood there, watching her.

"You just aren't used to it." she said softly.
