Anna nods, "It was scary." she whimpered again.

"What was it?" Jason asked her softly.

Anna shook her head, and hurried her face in Rose's shoulder. "Monsters attacked the kingdom and took her away." Rose explained to Jason.

"Anna, I'm a guard. It's my job to protect you. As long as I'm standing, no monsters will enter the castle or take you away." Jason said smiling. He was happy he had chosen night shift.

Anna nods, gripping Rose's dress in her small hands. Not letting go of Rose. Rose gently tried to get Anna to stop holding on so tight to her dress. At least Anna soon fell asleep.

Jason shook his head slightly and smiled.

Rose looked at Jason With a small smile. Then she headed upstairs to tuck Anna in.

Jason saluted lightly. He looked around silently.

Rose smiled, then walked upstairs. She laid Anna down on her bed, then put a stuffed horse next to her and covered her with her blanket. Then Rose slipped into her bed, after changing. Then fell asleep quickly.

Jason waited out his guard duty. At dawn someone came to relieve him and he walked to his room and fell asleep.
