Kat rolled her eyes before darting out the door. Boys. she shook her head strolling the castle at night was one of her favorite things to do. It was like all the places you could go during the day you could go explore now and that's what she did. She explored....the kitchen. It was risky since the Hufflepuff common room was near the kitchen but Kat lived for risks as she stole a couple of cookies.

Lilli woke up tiredly, rubbing her eyes. She got out of bed, had a quick shower, the essentials. Putting on her robes, she walked down to breakfast. The owls would come soon and she would hear from her Mum which she was happy about.

James woke up a little bit late, Kat on his mind. What an unusual girl, he thought then put on his robes. He entered the Great Hall with his infamous strut, he could practically feel girls eyes burning into him as he entered and sat down at the Gryfinndor table, helping himself to a large breakfast.

Kat woke up to an empty room and a huge head ache. Looking at the time she quickly got dressed and headed downstairs for breakfast not making eye contact with anyone. What happened last night? She thought to herself gazing into a bowl of oatmeal. Last thing I remember is I was down in the kitchen and someone walked in. She glanced up at the Hufflepuff table suddenly. She saw him laughing and over the chattering of students saw Mark whisper "Hey kitty."

Scorpius had his hair messy but neat which had a couple of girls talking about it. He didn't do anything to it but every morning he woke up and it was perfect. Some girls thought he put a spell on it as he smiled and told them he did nothing of the sort. As the girls flirted out of the corner of his eye he saw Lilli but didn't turn his head an inch. Things were different know sadly.

James was, in between big chomps of food that was, flirting with a very pretty brunette, one of the ones from the day berfore in fact. He smiled and continued chatting with her, this one would be easy.


An bronze coloured owl with slightly ruffled feathers came in and dropped a note on Lilli's plate which was odd because she had never seen this owl before, she caustiously opened it, hoping it wasn't a prank like the exploding letters some of the Slytherins sent her last year. Her eyes grow wide as she read.

Regretfully last night at 12:01am, Your mother passed away.

Lilli stood up, her chair scraping on the newly polished floor. Leaving her untouched plate, she began to calmly walk out of the great hall but before she exited it, her walk turned into a run. She kept running until she got to the lake. Sitting in front of it, she hugged her knees and rested her chin on top. A single tear fell from her eye.

Scorpius sensed something was wrong but continued eating his breakfast. It would look to suspicious if he chased right after Lilli leaving the hot Slytherin girls behind. He told them he had to go feed his owl after a few minutes and left the sad girls behind as he followed Lilli. Seeing her down by the lake he stopped some what of a distance behind her. He learnt when girls were upset it was best to stay a safe distance away unless you wanted something to get broken."You alright?" He asked softly his voice full of concern.

Kat motioned for Mark to have a talk with her outside the great hall. After a couple of minutes she came back inside and sat down at the Hufflepuff table letting him play with her hair. She had taken a lot of acting classes in the muggle world so she put on a smile and gave her friends at the Gryffindor table a thumbs up as she sat on his lap. Inside though she was think Dear god Sam. Where did you find this one. Loyal? More like a sneaky Slytherin. as she made a metal note to have a chat with her friend.

'Yeah, No. I'm fine.' She said in an almost normal voice, ' I just needed the fresh air.' She discreetly wiped her tear away and stood up. ' I have Potions, I better go.' She said to him before walking away. Had he seen her leave? Why had he come after her? She could bottle up her feelings until nightime where she cried herself to sleep. She was good at that, always had been. All she had to do was put on a fake smile and make jokes, and no one noticed.

James softly kissed the brunette called Maria, or Marissa, or what is it Chloe? He couldn't help noticing Kat uncomfortable with a boy and he laughed at her discomfort. She had bad taste in boys.

Scorpius grabbed Lilli hand gently in case the witch wanted to leave. He turned to face her and could see her eyes were red and puffy as if she had been...crying. "Is this cause of me?" He suddenly dropped her hand a bit ashamed. This girl was proably scared of him and he hadn't given her a moments peace after the train ride."I'll leave you alone now..." He muttered not being able to make eye contact with her.

Kat sat quietly when her eyes stopped on Jame and Mary. I'd bet him 10 galleons he doesn't know her name. She shook her head in disapproval. She caught him giving her a look and gave him a "Mind your own business." one back. Sometimes James got on her nerves acting all strange when she was hanging around Mark. I can take care of myself She glared at potter before planting one on Mark.

((Ugh! I got chores to do I'll be back but I'm leaving my computer on. I need my music ))

' No. It's not you, it's just... Never mind, I have to get to class.' She said completely forgetting she had Potions with him first thing. She walked off, feeling bad and slightly overwhelmed at when he held her hand. She walked into the school, feeling somewhat guilty. She had to cheer up, Lilli told herself, she had a quidditch match with the Gryfinndors after Potions.

He snogged the brunette then without the brunette seeing, he mouthed to her, ' Im much sexier than him and single----ish.' with a grin. That Hufflepuff was disgusting so much for them to be kind and loyal and yadadayada. He felt anger cross his face but disapper as quick as it had come.

Kat gripped her wand feeling the urge to hex both James and the slutty brunette. "Everything alright?" Mark asked. "Yeah." Kat smiled snapping out of her rage. She stood up and grabbed his hand. "Lets go." she snapped practically dragging him out of the great hall. Since Ravenclaws and Slytherins had potions it meant she'd be seeing her "boyfriend" in D.A.D.A. "I'll see you later." She smiled giving him a kiss and headed to the bathroom to puke."What a blackmailing son of a..." Kat muttered to herself washing her lips.

Scorpius watched her walk away and headed back to the great hall to meet his friends. Apparently Cord and Kyle had set him up with a "Hot little number." as he just smiled and heading downstairs to potions. He'd have to talk to the girl later about the misunderstand after taking her on a date though. He wasn't on for breaking hearts it was the least he could do.

James yawned slightly as he walked with the brunette to class, she talked so much. In fact as she caught him yawning, she angrily flounced off. James didn't even bother to try and apologize. Instead he walked into class and sat down.

Lilli walked into Potions class, and sat down, they had slughorn{?} as a teacher. That boy, Scorpius was so polite, it almost got to the point of annoying. EUREKA! She would be mean to him and then he would leave her alone, it wasn't like she hated him, she was just scared. She would feel pretty guilty about this probably.
