"Not coming over the break?" Kat raised an eyebrow confused. "Didn't you get my note?" She asked then thought back to the Quidditch pitch. She turned to face him wondered if he was just messing with her. The fire quietly crackled and for the first time Kat realized they were alone in the common room and wondered where everyone was.

Scorpius slowly walked through the forest wondering where the girl might have good. Maybe this isn't a good idea. He thought quietly to himself pushing branches out of his way. He heard something snap and whipped his head in that direction but saw nothing. Seeing Lilli up head he gave her a wave. "Hey!"

Lilli whipped around, ' Hi Nick. Look if this about the Quidditch Match, Im sorry, I was distracted by other things.' She ashamed as she looked at him, thinking he had come to lecture her on her poor performance against Scorpius Malfoy and his oh-so-amazing broomstick.

' What note?' He asked, puzzled, ' And, but, why aren't you coming over at break?' He asked slightly saddened, he hoped she was joking because he needed a friend around to deal with his family. 'Please , come. I need a friend around otherwise I will be bored all winter.' He added. hopefully.

"Oh who cares. We'll get those Slytherins next time." Scorpius smiled that his plan had worked. So my name's Nick? He thought quietly to himself. "I actually came out here to check up on you." He smiled softly walking a bit closer to close the gap between them. "What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" He asked stretching his arms out to indicate the creepy forest.


"It's complicated." Kat shrugged trying not to look at James. "Besides wouldn't you rather have those two girls over?" She muttered her voice hinted a bit a jealously that he'd have to catch if he was listening closely. Wait didn't get my note? She thought confused. Why that bobble head brunette! She thought furiously back to the pitch. She had no right to do that! Why when I get my hands on her.... She stopped her thoughts and turned back to James.

' Pft. No, they're just airheads with no sense of personality.' He said, rollling his eyes. ' But Listen, can I had least get your address so I can send you an owl?' He asked softly, looking at her before standing up and stretching his legs and yawning slightly. He was tired.

She looked around shiftly, he''d surely tell on her if he saw her riding threstals. ' I, um, just getting- I mean I'm, yeah nothing.' She said, smiling a fake smile which she hoped to be innocent.

"No." Kat said stiffly not wanting him to stalk her or anything. She realized she was being rude and let out a sigh. "Sorry. Just forget everything. I'll come." She said standing up with him. "But no funny business." She winked playfully slugging his shoulder. It was just two weeks how bad could it be? Plus if she got home sick or wanted to leave he couldn't stop her.

"It's dangerous out here." Scorpius told her following her gaze and looking around. "You should be out here alone." He said sitting down near a tree stump shooing some spiders away. It was creepy and dark so anything could be lurking or watching them. Something was as the figure watched the two students carefully observing their every move from a distance.

' Okay.' He said, grinnng happily, ' I knew you'd give in in the end, you just can't resist my good looks.' He began to walk up to his dorm room, he had some chocolate frogs up there plus he was pretty tired.

' I think I can look after myself, thank you. ' She said lightly, she hated it when people thought just because she was petite and slender, she was fragile like she was going to break into pieces if a spider crawled on her.

Kat rolled her eyes at the boy wishing he'd get over himself. She was sure he'd be more fun that way but like he said he wanted a friend over the break and that's exactly what he was getting. Nothing more nothing less. "Going where?" Kat jumped at the voice and watched her friend come out of the shadows. "Sam! Didn't see you there." She muttered looking up at her friend and knowing she had some explaining to do.

"Didn't say you couldn't." Scorpius laughed flashing a grin at the girl. Lilli was still Lilli around other people that was for sure but he felt because he was Slytherin she was more biased around him. Technically him being Nick was fair.....technically. "Come on. What are you really doing out here. You can trust me." He smiled at her.

She thought for a moment, choosing her words carefully, ' Yeah, eh, sorry, its private' She apologetically, ' You wouldn't..understand anyway.' She added in a whisper. ' Why are you here anyway?' She asked narrowing her eues suspiciously. She tucked her hair behind her ear.

James lay on his bed and started to do his homework, he didn't want Mrs McGongall giving him in trouble again. He occasionally popped a a chocolate frog into his mouth every so often.

Scorpius frowned slightly wondering why Lilli was always so secretive but didn't pry anymore. "I thought you'd be crying or something from the match." He shrugged getting up. "If you want me to go I'll leave." He shuffled from foot to foot not wanting to go and hoping Lilli would let him stay.

"It'll be alright!" Kat told her friend as she sat back down on the couch watching Sam pace. It was quite entertaining actually. "Why am I getting the feeling of deja vu?" Her friend raised an eyebrow but Kat looked away. She wasn't ready to talk about it Toby with anyone. "Look I'm a big girl and can handle myself. If things get to...intense I'll floo home." Her friend looked satisfied as Kat gave her a hug and watched her go up to her room. She curled up on the couch and felt her eye lids growing heavy as she soon fell asleep.

' Pft. No. Crying's for people who have a reason to cry.' She said dismissively, ' I, however don't. And anyways I will beat that guy next time, it's just because he has a better broom. You know? I could of beat him if I had a better broom but I don't so whatever. When I get a better broom, Malfoy is going down.' She then sighed, ' You can stay.

James sighed in content as he finished his home work, he quickly got ready for bed before going under his covers and falling asleep quite literally his head hit the pillow.
