Dib and Johnny turned around so Wolva could change, sitting in silence. The whine of whatever it was that created the yellow aura visible outside came from the center of the tower, almost drawing people toward it, like the black holes in the Mystery Spots dotting the world.

(Fail....I went to a Mystery Spot. It was...odd.)

Me: Eh, she'll come back in a minute.... Mystery Spot?))

Slipping on the armor, Wolva cursed at its weight quietly in Latin, rolling her shoulders backwards in their sockets. "Alright. Is anyone else hearing that really annoying whine?" she asked, shifting under the weight of the armor. The next thing I find with a skin is going to become a shirt. she thought, hating the armor more every second she wore it.

(Its one of these odd "spots" around the world where the gravity is radically different. I went to one in San Jose, and some carpenter built a house over it without realizing the entire house was tilted toward a spot in the right corner of the tiny living room/den/kitchen/dining room. The most common explanation for it is a microscopic black hole. The thing gives you horrible headaches and you can't walk straight. If you stand a broom on its handle tip it'll stay perfectly straight up like some insane psychic trick. It's AWESOME.)

They turned around once the noises of Wolva putting the cuirass on stopped, "Yeah...I heard it outside too." Nny responded, "I think that's whats causing the yellow glow in the center of the tower."

"Is it getting on your nerves, too?" Wolva growled, flattening her ears in an attempt to block out the sound. It sounds like a gigantic mosquito is hovering inside my ears. she thought, getting more and more irritable by the second.

You can actually walk like those people from the weird 70's movies, were they walk sideways. XD)

"No..." They responded at the same time. Johnny moved to lean against the wall next to a door and it suddenly opened, containing the same teeth-like objects as the first one. Nny blinked and peered into it. Just a slanted hallway; almost like a wheelchair ramp, but going in a spiral pattern.

((Okay, those angles are reminding me of a Lovecraft story....))

Growling, Wolva silently cursed her sense of hearing. As the odd doorway opened near Nny, she snarled at it, popping her claws in preparation for something else to come out of the passageway and attack them. "Well? Should we explore it?" she asked when nothing came out of the passage.

(IKR? Some people think it's a UFO buried under the property. That affect happens 150 feet around the house. I think it's just a microscopic black hole, or a pile of molten metal that messes with the magnetic field.)

Dib ran into the hallway the second it opened, babbling something about how this was all just some plane of Hell for another world, or our own. Johnny nodded to Wolva and slowly followed Dib. Well, at least the kid served as a canary in a coal mine.

Walking behind Nny and Dib, Wolva wished that the armor didn't scrape against itself so much. I know that the others probably can't hear it, but it's driving me up the wall! she thought, debating the advantages and disadvantages to just taking the armor off.

The hallway wasn't too long, and ended with a dead-end and another door. Dib just ran up to the door and it opened, revealing a the center chamber. Nny followed Dib inside and stared at the yellow beam shooting from a pool of some type of magical lava to who knows what above them. The beam was behind a sheet of flesh that acted like a wall, and the only way from here seemed to be to follow the path upwards. Dib took the path without even questioning it, and Nny followed. They could hear something walking around above them, but the loud wailing the beam made masked almost all of the footsteps.

That kid's gonna get himself killed..... Wolva thought, ears still flattened against her head, trying to block out some of the extraneous noises. Still following Nny and Dib, she was wary of the footsteps she heard above them, not trusting whatever it might be. Knowing my luck, it's going to want to kill me.....
