Just as Johnny let out a big yawn and started to lean closer to Chimere, a giant hole opened right under her and sucked her in, closing just as it opened, "WHAT THE F*CK!? CHIMERE?" He shouted and stared at the floor where she used to be, too stunned ot try and figure out what just happened.

Nny gulped and started to cry, assuming that the Universe decided to step in and take away the one thing that kept him happy...

The place that Chimere had re-appeared just so happened to be the f*cked up Earth in City 17, the capital of the Combine--an interdimensional company that was ruled by the mysterious G-Man (a man in a blue suit holding a briefcase) and Doctor Breen, the new ruler of the world. (An old man with a white mustache/beard combo, and a brown suit.) She landed right in the middle of a tram. For just a second the G-Man had appeared, standing right in front of here. In the same second he disappeared.


(I wanna turn Chimere into a guy. Specifically, this guy: Gordon Freeman. Is that okay with you?)

Letting out a rare scream as she fell into darkness, Chimere was surprised to find herself in a tram near strangers. Immediately, she dropped into a defensive posture, not caring if it was futile. "What the f*ck is going on?!" she hissed, eyes flashing with white light, a sign of a very annoyed Elder God.

(Just appearance. Technically, Freeman is whomever the player is, and I assign that position to you. Go nuts.)

Oddly enough, the two other men in the train didn't respond to Chimere's scream. One looked up from his spot holding a pole next to a door, looking out of the moving monorail at the ground, "I didn't see you get on." He responded, not even noting her defensive position and cursing. The other guy didn't even look up, sharing a depressed and void look with everyone in this world, who isn't part of the Combine. The world was imprisoned, and everyone hated it, but almost no one could do anything about it.

Growling at the humans around her, Chimere held onto one of the hand grips, cursing in R'lyehian under her breath. Suddenly, she winced as she heard her own speech, feeling a trickle of wet liquid flowing down her face. Reaching up to touch it, she was shocked to see pure red blood on her fingertips. Red blood.... Fingertips... Oh no! she realized, eyes wide with panic. Reaching for a wing, she nearly fell over with shock as she felt nothing there. "No...." she muttered in shock, only to freak out again as she heard her voice. That... That's not my voice.... she (or should I say, he) thought.....

And just as Chimere started to get the idea that Wormy was on a Half-Life spree and turned her into Dr. Freeman, the monorail stopped in the station. The other man, sitting down with his briefcase in his lap, looked up. Shining green eyes with blue flecks pierced into her new prescription glasses and eyes, "W-ake up, Freeman...Sm-ell the...a-shes." The G-Man spoke in his otherworldly fashion, putting heavy accents on every vowel. Then he finally disappeared for the last time, and the other guy looked at her, "Well, end of the line." He sighed, apparently not seeing or hearing the G-Man. He stepped off into a concrete building, where Dr. Breen, the new ruler of the world, was speaking on giant TV screens about how "good" City 17 is.

"What the hell is going on here?" Chimere asked herself, trying not to listen to her voice. "Where am I? What is this place? How do I get out?" Looking around her for anything to defend this weak mortal body with, her new mortal's eyes fell upon the screens. Suddenly, waves of disgust washed over her like storm surges, sending shivers up and down her spine. What is happening to me?!
