"Sandstar?" meowed Pebblepaw, poking her head into the leader's den. "There's a visitor here who claims he wants to join our Clan."

Sandstar

Sandstar approached her den, ears flicking in surprise when she saw Pebblepaw sticking her head into her den. She only managed to catch the last few words of what Pebblepaw was saying. "What's this about a new cat?" she asked, standing behind Pebblepaw.

[Kess]

"There's this cat here that Vinetail and I found in the forest," Pebblepaw said quickly. "And he says his name is Elvis, and he wants to join the Clan."

Sandstar

Sandstar's head jerked up and she looked over toward the entrance, green eyes widening in slight surprise as she spotted Vinetail sitting next to an unfamiliar black-and-white tom. She flicked her tail, indicatin Pebblepaw should follow, and stopped in front of the tom. "I'm Sandstar, leader of ThunderClan. Pebblepaw says you're looking to join my Clan?" meowed Sandstar. "Yes," replied the tom called Elvis, "I am." He then explained that he'd heard about the wild Clan cats that lived in the forest and how, unsatisfied with life as a loner, had set off to find these cats so that he may join them. He also explained his little tussle with RiverClan. "Our medicine cat will see to those wounds. You may join ThunderClan; you seem like a good fighter, if you took on an entire patrol of warriors. Pebblepaw, please go get Berryfeather and then I'll call a Clan meeting."

[Kess]

Pebblepaw nodded and dashed off to the medicine den. A minute later, she returned with an annoyed looking Berryfeather. "What on earth is so important that you had to drag me away from my herbs?" She caught sight of Elvis and sighed. "What, a kittypet with dreams of becoming a great warrior like the legendary Firestar?" she sat down. "All right, go on."

Elvis

Elvis finished his story, glancing now and again at the newcomer that they'd called a medicine cat — Elvis assumed that was some sort of healer or something, and the idea intreagued him. "And that's my story," he finished. He glanced at Sandstar. "What happens now?" he asked. Sandstar looked at him for a long moment. She seemed to decide something, then said, "I'm going to make you a ThunderClan apprentice and mentor you myself. You're wel past warrior age, but your training won't take too long. You'll just learn the basics." And with that, she padded over to a large rock, jumped onto it, and yowled, "Let all those old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

(OH. GREAT IDEA! Kind of. Forbidden love - Elvis X Berryfeather?)

Berryfeather eyed Elvis curiously. Hm. A kittypet. She padded over to stand beside the Highrock and stared up at the leader.

Pebblepaw bounded up to Berryfeather and plopped herself down.

*every other cat comes up and stands by Pebblepaw and Berryfeather* xD I'm lazy.

Sandstar

Sandstar gazed down at the cats below, green eyes meeting each cat's gaze in turn. "As some of you have noticed, there's a new cat among us. His name is Elvis, and he'd like to become a warrior of ThunderClan." Sandstar briefly explained Elvis' story. "I'm going to make him an apprentice and, if I decide he knows enough, a warrior." Murmurs of surprise met her ears from her Clan, but she couldn't detect anything hostile about them. Good. "Elvis, please step forward." He did. Sandstar jumped off the Highrock and paddedover to stand in front of him. Quietly, so just he could hear her, she said, "Now, I'm going to change your name. This will only be a temporary name until your warrior name is earned." Elvis looked a bit reproachful, but nodded after a moment. "Elvis, from this day forward you will be known as Blackpaw. I'll be your mentor and instruct you in the way of the Clan and the warrior code." The newly rechristened Blackpaw licked her shoulder respectfully and stepped back. Calls of "Blackpaw! Blackpaw!" could be heard, and Blackpaw looked mollified at the attention.
