Melody gulped, but did as Merr said, fingering the blade along its razor tip. Oh, you had better not regret this, she said to Merr silently in her mind, looking down at the first mate. Now he was standing, hands spread wide, the perfect target. I don't want to kill him, she thought, carefully pointing the blade at one of his hands. Oh, Cap'n Jade would flay me alive if I did that. She focused on his hand and felt the tiniest of breezes blowing along the left side of her face. That'll send the blade left, so aim a little more to the right so it doesn't hit his face. Taking a deep breath, then girl twisted her wrist and flicked the knife downwards. It was an unsteady throw, completely unlike Merr's smooth and deadly accuracy, but at least the blade hit point down. It landed in the deck near Merr's left foot, sticking for a moment before clattering over.

Jade looked at the blade, supprise shinig in her brown eyes. "Seems that you have a knack for these things Melody." She called, praised evident in her voice. "Accuracy is important in any fighting style, so this will help with a sword."

Merr didn't even flinch as the blade struck near his foot. Grinning up at her, he bent down to pick up the knife again, rotating it on his palm. Well done. You didn't kill me. A moving target is harder but that's for another time, preferably when we've made port. Then I can throw something and hopefully not lose my knife overboard. The last time he had practised on a moving target had been with Patric during his first escape, before the whole siren thing... But before that, he had practised with Jade's hat. Jade hadn't been very happy... You can try again once I've had some sleep. C'mon Jade, after you. Smirking at her, he placed his hand back on her shoulder. Unless you'd rather start the lesson now?

"I'd like to, but with my leg, and the twice in the water thing, I need my rest," She looked up at Melody. "Seen as though you can't find anyone, get the whee until someone comes, please." She let go and the wheel and began hobbling back. "I hate this stupid leg!" She cursed.

Melody wriggled with glee at their praise, and squealed loudly before covering her mouth when Jade said she could take the wheel. She scurried down the mast faster than a cat and was at the helm in the blink of an eye. Taking the wheel, she suddenly realized just how big it was. Each peg was the size of her hand, and it took great effort to stop it from tilting off course. How does Cap'n make it look so easy? she wondered, eyes wide.

Alright then. Trying to walk as normally as he could with his scratched up leg, he smiled at Jade, lengthening his stride a little so that he got to her cabin a little quicker, he held the door open for her. Glancing back at Melody on the wheel, he smiled warmly, chuckling to himself. She was actually pretty cute. She just wanted to be treated like a pirate instead of a child, now who did that remind him of...

[So, here we go~
Patric tried to escape in a longboat but Merr threw a knife at him, pinning his shirt to the rail so he couldn't pull free. Then mermaids attacks and Merr fell in, but was fished out. Patric pulled free of the knife and hid in the longboat, but as he was lowering himself Jade tried to stop him. He let go of the rope and they both fell to the water, but Patric rescued Jade and helped her back onto the Black Pearl before rowing away into the fog. I made a new character, the Cabin Girl, melody Sharpe, and she was looking for Alex to take the wheel but couldn't find him, so Jade is letting her steer the ship until Alex come up and takes the post.]

His head still ringing, Alex pulled himself up to his feet, still a little unsteady. Coughing slightly, he looked around the ship, his eyebrows knitted into a deep frown. Making his way towards the stern, his hand, that wasn't supporting him on the railing, on his temple. Groaning softly, he looked up to the wheel for a moment before looking at the rest of the ship, wondering where Jade, Merr and Skyra were.
