Closing her eyes to enjoy the bliss of the tingling sensation his finger left, she very nearly did lean on his shoulder. Looking down to the deck, she just managed to see the ghostly figures of half her crew already working. Good thing that they all had sea legs. Not like Merr the first time he was on board a the Black Pearl.

Chuckling softly at Jade, he shook his head, focusing more on the steering of the ship. Something he was actually meant to be doing. Noticing that she had 'spaced out', he cocked his head at her, blinking. What's going on in that mind of yours? More importantly does it hurt? Over the years he had known Jade, she'd pulled some pretty horrible pranks on him... Yes every one played pranks, but they were pirates... Bleeding wasn't optional...

She was jolted from her daydreaming, if you could call it that, because it was night. But it wasn't the sound of Merr's voice. No. It was the feeling that rose from her stomach and up her gullet, filling her with nausea. Makn a face, she rushed to the side of her ship and leaning over, retching violently. The burning sensation and the traces of her stomach contents were horrible, but she tried to ignore it, refusing to seem weak.

Merr's eyes were very quickly drawn to Jade as she rushed for the side of the ship. Concern lined his face as she vomited, rather violently. Whistling to a member of the crew that was on the deck, he rushed to Jade's side, worried for her. Jade? What's wrong? Rubbing her back, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. She had seemed alright previously, so what was going on with her now? Maybe she'd caught something at port?

She coughed and shugged him away, standing up as straight as she could without falling over. The deck under her feet seemed to be moving more than usual, and she that it wasn't. "I-I'm fine Merr. Promise." She lied, her fingers curling a little as she gripped the side of the ship, knuckles white. Her face was pale, she knew, but she hoped he wouldn't notice in the small amount of light.

Merr didn't need to see Jade's face to know something was wrong. Jade. Please... Tell me what's wrong. I can't help you if you won't tell me what's up... Jade wasn't exactly the type to vomit for no reason... But he had no idea what he could do for her if she wouldn't even tell me the cause. He really didn't care what it was, as long as she hadn't passed it on to him he was happy, and would care for her as best he could.

Nodding to the crewman at the wheel, he made sure he knew where they were going before wandering back to Jade's side.
