'Alright,' Fyn pushed the button and the doors slid open. Half a second later, bullets came through the doorway as soldiers on the other side tried to fire at them. Fyn held himself against the wall and positioned himself to fire back. He couldn't see past the doorframe, but could hear some casualties. Eventually, it quietened down a little so that Fyn could expose himself, and take down a few more with accuracy.

Luyi took in a quick breath, terrified for Fyn. She could hear the bullets being shot and it made her feel worse everytime. She couldn't do anything, since Fyn had taken the good spot. She gulped and bit her lip, trying to force her pounding head and heart to calm down.

He ran out of cover and took a glimpse of a few more soldiers, 4 or 5, that were firing towards him. They were a little way down the corridor, but they were advancing slowly. 'There are a few down that corridor. I think it best that we take them out quickly,' Fyn saw Luyi's face, she was obviously frightened. Fyn gave her a small smile, 'Don't worry, it'll be ok.'

Luyi nodded, forcing a smile onto her face, although it was tiny because of her worry. She held Fyn's hand tightly as though scared she'd lose him and stepped into the open, firing a couple of shots before going back into safety, unsure if her shots had hit their targets or not. Her gaze flickered around as she hoped that she'd hit them, especially because it would be easier if she had.

Fyn saw a couple of men go down, and smiled a little, 'See? No need to worry. You're a good shooter.' He stepped out again and shot a couple more down. Fyn didn't want to look through the door, just in case, but he heard a person gasp, drop their gun and make a hasty exit. 'I think it's safe,' Fyn said slowly. He peeked through the door to have a look.

Luyi nodded absentmindedly and bit her lip, waiting for him to give the all-clear. She laced her fingers through his, shuddering for a couple of seconds as she tried to get rid of all her negative emotions. When she heard somebody shoot, she yanked Fyn backwards, seeing a bullet zoom past them, just where he'd been standing. "Can you see where that came from?"

Fyn sighed deeply, 'Thanks, that what close.' He peeked past the doorframe and saw another soldier, standing with a fierce expression. 'Yeah, there's a soldier there; and he doesn't look to happy to see us.' Then Fyn realised who it was. It was one of the military commanders. He was shouting at Fyn, 'Come out, pilot! You traitor! Face your own kind!' Fyn cringed, I won't, not after... He couldn't finish his own thought. 'Luyi,' Fyn called carefully, 'Can you get him? I...I can't.'

Luyi frowned faintly before shrugging and switching places with Fyn, letting go of his hand and frowning. In a quick movement, she stepped out of hiding to be shot at many times, while all the while she was shooting back. The commander was yelling at her in a foreign langauge, and she had no idea what was being said. She shot him in the leg and bit her leg as he fell before shooting him in the heart, but not before he yelled something else at her and shot at her once more. This bullet hit home, landing in the left side of her stomach. She screamed and her knees buckled, clasping her hand over the wound and pushing hard, trying to stop the blood.

'Luyi!!' Fyn yelled, scooping her up in his arms and laying her back down along the wall, where it was safe. 'Luyi, you're going to be ok.' He moved her hand out of the way of the wound so he could see. He couldn't tell how bad it was, he wasn't a doctor, but he knew it wasn't good. 'We need somewhere to hide,' Fyn said as he picked her back up and jogged down the corridor. Finding a storage room, he kicked open the door and gently put Luyi down. He propped some heavy equipment up against the door, so no one could come in. He got out a small container with the anesthetic he used before. Fumbling with the cap, he knelt down beside her. 'This'll make it better,' he said slowly.

Luyi didn't even realize when he picked her up, her eyes squeezed tight as she shuddered, trying to stop the pain. It was hurting her to breathe, and she could feel something dripping down her shirt. When she felt herself being put on the floor, she opened her eyes and tried to focus on Fyn, not on the liquid she felt slipping from her stomach. She was still shaking and was slowly going into shock, although she didn't realize. It was hurting so much, and she was wondering if this was how Fyn had felt when his shoulder, or was it side?, had been shot.
