Fyn had little time to even gasp as the bullet sailed close to Luyi, even though it wasn't close to him. 'That was good, nice and quick.' He followed gingerly behind her as they crept past the fallen soldiers. He turned around to find a couple more soldiers at the head of the corridor, guns raised. In shock, Fyn quickly fired and began to shuffle backwards, in case they got any more company. 'Looks like we'll be having some shooting practise before we get there.'

Luyi gulped and nodded, letting go of his hand as she shot at those soldiers too, terrified out of her wits for herself and for Fyn now. What.. what if one of the bullets managed to hit it's target? She bit her lip and sighed, glad that there were no more soldiers in this corridor, although she guessed some would be around somewhere, and that they'd probably be ambushed soon.

'Let's hurry. The gunfire was very loud and obvious, so more soldiers will be coming.' He jogged hastily towards the end of that corridor and pushed a button to open the sliding door. The doors slid sideways with a small beep, and Fyn raised his gun as a couple of soldiers rushed towards them. 'Quickly come through, then I'll deal with the door so none can come from behind us.'

Luyi did as she was told, quickly going inside the control room and biting her lip. She honestly hoped Fyn would be alright, because she had no idea what she'd done if he got shot in the heart. Her own heart pounded and her pulse ran, and she felt pretty dizzy and light headed. She sat down in a chair and watched the door, waiting for him. The main reason she sat down was to calm herself down, since she didn't want to fall over or faint.

Fyn followed Luyi through the door and pressed a button to shut it. As soon as it closed, he shot wildly at the console, watching until it flew sparks. It had fused. He turned around and saw a few more soldiers coming down some metal stairs at the other end. He raised his gun and shot a few times, watching as they ducked and took cover for safety. They're only young! Fyn thought to himself in panic. I don't want to kill them. I know I don't want to kill them! He calmed down for a moment, then realised, I don't have to kill them. He pointed his gun downwards a little, and he saw the slight sliver of fear as they tried to advance. Fyn pulled the trigger, aiming for their legs.

Luyi watched in shock as Fyn shot at them, frozen to her seat with her heart and head pounding. She clutched her gun, her only protection and hit her lip as she watched him and the soldiers, desperately hoping they would just leave. She was sick of the shooting, not to mention all the deaths her and Fyn had caused. It was really starting to turn her to jelly. She really wanted to just hug Fyn and close her eyes, and try and convince herself it was all a bad dream.

Fyn watched at his own horror, as young men fell to the ground, clenching their teeth to avoid shouting in agony. 'We have to keep going,' he said to Luyi, noticing his own voice fumble. He gripped onto her hand tightly, hoping to give her some support, but knowing that he needed some of his own.

Luyi stood up when he took her hand and did as he'd told her to, gripping his hand as well as she glanced around. With a faint shrug, she walked over to the door by the soldiers and glanced over her shoulder at Fyn. "This one?" She asked in confusion.

'Yeah,' Fyn answered, 'But we still have a way to go unfortunately.' He could hear more gunfire ahead, but tried to ignore it. It would be the same as any other shooting in the end. 'We'd better keep ourselves hidden along the edges, it's rather likely that there are soldiers on the other side of the door.' He moved to the side before placing his hand over the button, 'Ok?'

Luyi nodded and walked after him, agreeing with whatever he'd just said. She hadn't been paying much attention, too busy trying to figure out what to do to get out of here alive. She could hear loud voices behind her, although she couldn't make out what they were saying. "Come on, come on!" She exclaimed, starting to panic.
