He shrugged. "Nothing important right now."

Sophie frowned and fell silent.

[Ardra]

They reached the castle, and Arrow waited for Sophie to walk inside. "Let Seleste know you are here. I have something to take care of."

[Sweetgirlmollysue]

Sophie glanced at him and stopped. "What's wrong?" She insisted.

[Ardra]

"Nothing, nothing." he plastered on a rather fake smile. "Just let Sel know you are here."

[Sweetgirlmollysue]

Sophie's hand tightened on his wrist, anger blazing in her pale green eyes. "Do. NOT. Lie. To. Me."

[Ardra]

His eyes brought on a new light, one filled with such sorrow... Anger... Pain.... He pulled away easily. "I am not lying to you. Nothing is wrong, in the general sense of things being wrong. I need some time to think, and to take care of something that is long due to be taken care of." and with that he turned and walked away

Sophie stood frozen in the hall for a minute after he left. Finally, she spun on her heel and stalked up to her room.

Sel watched her go with one raised eyebrow, but he was already protecting her brother, and could not go talk to her

Arrow wondered out to the river, waiting

Sophie slammed her door so hard the walls rattled, locking it behind her. She looked at her bed for a long moment, then her gaze shifted to the balcony. She opened the French doors and slid out, closing them silently behind her. With a running leap, she launched herself off of the balcony, wings snapping out. She took off, wanting to be anywhere but there.
