She laughed, leaping over the fence in one, swift movement and high tailing it after him. When she finally got to the door, she laughed, hardly out of breath, then opened it. *I just feel like skipping the racing...* A rush of cool air met her face, and she sighed, walking in.
There, a lump on her couch.. snoring, Spongebob reruns on the TV, chips and soda on the table. Kat smirked, and leaned over her brother. " Morning sleeping beauty! " He screamed like a girl, then fell off the couch. The girl nearly fell over laughing, and he stood up, growling. " KAT! " Zane jumped up and grabbed her, pulling her into a hug and ruffling up her hair. " Evil little girl. " He commented, kissing her head. " Where have you been? " The two conversed for a while, and Zane nodded, while Kat took off up to her room to grab her things. Zane looked to Wolfy, then patted the seat on the couch.

She rolled her eyes, a smile forming on her lips. " Oh, I recall it. But do you not remember my leg hooking with your, only pulling you in with me? " Luna challenged with a laugh.

He rolled to his side, and looked from Maza to the mares. " Oh really? "

Wolfy sat down, his shy, withdrawn nature coming back to him. He stayed slightly away from Zane, his eyes glued to his hands and his back stiff and rigid. But, the call of Spongebob quickly pulled his gaze up, and he couldn't help watching as Patrick tried to instruct his yellow friend on "talking fancy".

Tango took a step forward, her eyes dangerous and her lips pulled back in a smirk. "Oh, but I caught myself. You ended up with a mouthful of river mud and a fish in your ear!" She reared back, whinnying playfully.

Maza nodded, grinning. "Oh, yeah. I remember these little 'fights'. They always ended with both of them looking like idiots." He glanced over at Spirit, shaking his head at the stallion.

The boy examined Wolfy, then turned off the TV to get his attention. " So, my sister tells me you and her are pretty close. You know both of our pasts, a lot about us, but I've heard nothing about you. " He stood up, beginning to pace back and forth. " Now... seeing as how you know her past, I expect you to be 100- no, 10,000% wonderful to Kat. " He stopped, turning to glare at Wolfy. " If I hear that you hurt her, or even hear her cry, I swear on my life, I will rip you-- " Zane was cut off by yelling from upstairs. " Stop being a bully Zane! Or I'm gonna tell mom that you've been gone for the past week, leaving me all alone! " The boy growled, and sat on the couch, crossing his arms. " Thanks for ruining my fun Kit-Kat! " The girl appeared at the bottom of the stairs, her supplies in hand. " No problem. " She smiled over to Wolfy. " Ready to go? "

She scoffed, and shook herself. " Yes, then I got out and shoved you in. For the next week you were complaining about smelling like fish. " Luna chuckled, a devious look in her eyes.

He chuckled, looking to Maza. " So they did stuff like this all the time as fillies? "

Once Wolfy heard a threatening tone in Zane's voice, his eyes became dangerous, animalistic, and he had to stop himself from snarling. But, once Kat came back, he calmed down. He didn't take kindly to being threatened, especially when it came to Kat. He loved her, and would do anything to keep her safe. "Yeah, I'm ready. I have to go and introduce myself to Tamera, anyway." His voice seemed deeper somehow, and he grabbed Kat's hand to reel in his emotions. There was a reason he didn't stay in most foster homes.

Tango rushed at Luna, lipping at her nose and then darting away. "And you remember what I did to you after? I got you to eat a bug! A big, crunchy, dung beetle!" She laughed, prancing about around Luna.

Maza grinned. "Yeah. And if they'd stayed around, they would have been doing this all throughout their adulthood, too." He leaned against a small tree to scratch his back. "Yup, they're a regular pair of goofballs, those two."

She held his hand, and squeezed it gently. " What did he do? " Kat whispered, before waving good-bye to her brother as they walked out. " DON'T FORGET TO USE PROTECTION! " He screamed at them, before shutting the door. Katherine's face went red with blush from embarrassment. " I'm really sorry about him... he's a little.. um... screwed up. " The girl sighed, looking down at the ground as they walked.

The mare tossed her head, watching the prancing mare than snickering. " Do you remember what happened after that? I got you to drink that goopy mix of squished bugs! " Luna whinnied in delight, half-rearing then slamming her hooves to the ground.

Spirit chuckled, shaking his head. " Oh gosh... I bet you they're gonna start up now that they're together again. " He grinned, slowly standing and shaking the dirt from his pelt.

Wolfy shrugged. "We're all screwed up in some way." He cleared his throat then, sighing. "Well, uh... he just did what ever big brother does, I suppose." His muscles tensed for a moment, and he had to force himself to relax. "He threatened me, should I ever hurt you." His jaw was clenched, so much that she would be able to hear his teeth grind as he moved. She would think it was nerves, or fear, but in truth... he was afraid that he would end up hurting her brother.

Tango lunged at Luna, pulling at her mane and snickering. "And then I tricked you into thinking there was a wolf after you, when it was just a dinky little coyote! You had nightmares for weeks!" She grinned. She had missed these play fights with her best friend.

Maza nodded, laughing. "Well, yeah. I knew they would, I just didn't know that it would be so soon. I think it was that boy... he loosened Luna up. She's more relaxed that I thought she'd be here."

((I just remembered, didn't I have Wolfy have a "canine bite" somewhere on him? I totally forgot, and it totally ties in!))

He knew better than to cut his arms, his were on his thighs and chest, along with scars that were put there by hands other than his own. He did, however, have one scar showing from just under his short sleeve. A bite mark, obviously dog's teeth of some kind, around his shoulder and arm.

She rolled her eyes, her arms now wrapped around him. Kat kissed the base of his neck, and stroked his back. " Don't mind him. He's all bark no bite, I assure you. " The girl heard him grinding his teeth, and gently pulled back, sighing. She felt bad, letting her brother do that..

The mare laughed, tossing her head slightly. " That was pretty funny. Remember when I dared you to go in the cave and you swore on your life you heard a cougar? And instead it was a wild pig sniffing up truffles? " Luna chuckled, her eyes bright with amusement.

He nodded, snatching another mouthful of grass. " I know.. considering what she was telling us too. I honestly thought she would just take off and keep her distance. "

Wolfy roped in his feelings and smiled. "I'm okay. Come on, let's get the living room set up." He kissed her cheek, pulling her along back to the house.

Tango laughed heartily. "Oh, and when we both went down to the Rock Field, and you got a bat stuck in your mane, and almost knocked you out trying to get it out?" She reared slightly, shaking her head.

Maza shrugged, confused. "I don't know what it is with that boy, but... he's got a sort of animal magnetism." He grinned, looking over as said boy walked up to his porch with the girl, Kat.

She smiled, walking with him back to the house. Kat was actually pretty surprised that her brother didn't do worse then he had. Normally he was much more protective, but from the looks of his arms when he hugged her, he'd been having a bad day.

The mare laughed as well, remembering all the good times they'd had as foals. " Or when we were playing hide and seek by that pond, and one of the geese started honking and chasing you. She looked over to the stallions, then back to her friend, grinning.

Spirit nodded in agreement, pawing the ground slightly. " Its odd, but he makes Kat happy, so he's good by me. " He'd honestly do anything for either human. The stallion wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Kat or Wolfy.
