He smiled. He was glad that what he said wasn't to weird. She stoped and he titlted his head,. "something wrong?" he asked, He again hoped it was stupid to ask. He found it funny that he was having trouble with what people asked of him all the time.

Amanda smiled. She thought how to answer his question, but messed up any way. "fi- four, well i guess it depends., long, strange story. Never really met anyone who'd care." she said the last part quietly. She played with her hair hoping to not look stupid.

Joseph gave her a pitying look, but he knew how it felt when you were hurt and people pitied you. So he stopped and answered, "Well im all ears love." he answered, looking at her lovingly.

Kandice looked at the ground, shuffling her feet nervously. "Josephs here." she whispered, knowing he didnt know joseph, but hoping hed undserstand what she was trying to say to him.

She nodded, a soft distant smile appeared on her face. "I'm the youngest in my family. My oldest brother ran away just before i was born. It's been...... implied, implied that he didn't like mother getting pregnant, no one ever said that though. When i was little i had my hopes." she said, quietly. She shrugged at the last part.

Jacob automatically keyed into the tone. "Understandable without details" He put his hand on her shoulder, and gave he a slightly awkward smile.

Joseph gave her a 'go on' look while replying, "He shouldnt have left."

Kandice smiled up at him, giving him a hug and a "thanks." She thought for a moment before asking, "you wanna go to the park again?" SHe liked the idea of going back to the park with her new friend.

"i always hoped that he'd come back. see that leaves me with four siblings, so i get left out a lot. we use to move around a lot, but mom got tired of it, so we stopped. I've never head anything from my brother, mom and dad are afraid hes dead. i guess i'm the only one who dosen't think on it much" she said, she'd never explained this before.

Jacob smiled slightly. "welcome of course" he nodded. "sure" he said happy with having something to do. He shoved his hand in his pocket and smiled.

"I wish i could tell you i understood how you felt.. but i cant. Ive never had a sibling. Serenity is the closest thing ive got and now.." He stopped himself, "Im sorry about your brother." He finished, outting his hand on her comfortingly.

Kandice laughed, grabbing his hand and running in the direction of the park at full speed. ONce there she stopped, tapping him on the shoulder and saying, "Tag your it!" beefore dashing off into the trees.

Amanda smiled at him. "It's nice just to have someone listen, it's rare for me. not even my family likes to listen to me, there busy with there own problems" She smiled again.

Jacob laughed some. He never done anything like this, He chased after her laughing the whole time. He had one hand in his pocket making sure not to lose anything as he went.

Joseph smiled, "Well im glad i got to be the first one to listen to you," Just then the movie began.

Kandice looked behind her at jacob who was running with a hand in his pocket, she started laughing and quickened her pace, hoping that she was fast enough not to get caught. She dashed behind a tree, a trick she had used many times as a child, joseph had always passed her up when she did this.

Amanda smiled, her mind swimming with thoughts. He hands came together, a greeting, a final parting embrace before she sat the delicately on her lap.

Jacob took his hand out of his pocket. He ran after awhile realizing there was no one in front of him. He looked around, confused, He shoved thing in his pocket down and looked around.

Jospeh smiled at her, watching her as she watched the movie. He couldnt help noticing how the movie brought out the perfect beauty in every line of her face, she almost looked like one of those godesses you heard about. He sighed, knowing she was way out of his league, but smiled knowing that he at least had her as a friend.

Kandice watched him, her eyes looking over every inch of him. He was a good looking guy, she had to admit that, but she knew that he was just the same. Every guy was the same, worthless leaches looking for a girl to drain the life out of. She thought of her parents before they had died, the arguing, everything. It was almost like her father never really cared about her mother, but that didnt surprise her at all. She watchd him look around, and smiled at the confused look that appeared on his face. She popped out from behind one of the trees, she smiled, creeping up behind him and tapping him on the shoulder with a friendly, "back here."
