Amaryllis
Amaryllis nodded. "I see that thou care for him a lot. While I do not understand your relationship with any of them, I get that you are close. But all huntresses are expected to make tough decisions. The question is, would you be willing to leave them for a life filled with sisters and companionship? Thou would meet far more compatible friends and family, and thou would live forever." Amaryllis's heart ached. She tried so hard to block out her feelings, but she too recalled a time when she left someone she loved. She wasn't sure to this day if she made the right decision to leave them behind, but she loved being a lieutenant for Artemis.

Rose

Rose balled her fists, pressing them into her forehead in a gesture of frustration. "It all sounds amazing... but—" she glanced at Jacob, then Martin, then Dylan, who she kept her stormy gaze on as she said, "I don't think I could leave them." She couldn't even picture what it would be like without Dylan or the others, much less actually go through with leaving them behind.

Amaryllis
Amaryllis nodded. "Okay. But be prepared, Artemis will probably offer thou membership again, in the event thou change thy mind." She stood up and stretched out her limbs. Even though she is 100% human, she feels like she had ADHD sometimes. She just can't sit still doing nothing for long.

She peered out the door that was still ajar. The rusty door never seemed to be able to close properly.

Outside, trees flew by in the darkness. They seemed to be moving faster now that it was night. Then again, it was probably the darkness of it all playing tricks on her eyes.

The stars twinkled in the night sky. Whenever she was far from Artemis and her sisters, she would look up to the sky and feel at home again. No matter where she stood on the planet, she was always the same distance from the stars as the Huntresses. Upon closer inspection, she could locate the Big Dipper and Little Dipper, Hercules's star, and most importantly, Zoe's star.

Rose

The half-blood watched Amaryllis as she walked to the slightly open door, peering into the night sky. Sighing, Rose closed her eyes. She had a lot to think about, didn't she? She wondered what her grandmother would say if Rose confessed her troubles; she'd always turned to her grandmother when she desperately needed advice. She smiled a little, knowing exactly what her formidable grandmother would have said: "Well, silly, what does your gut tell you? Or, more importantly, your heart." Rose could just picture her grandma's knowing eyes searching Rose's expression like they always would when she asked questions of this nature. She glanced once more at Dylan's sleeping back before falling heavily back onto her backpack-pillow, closing her eyes but knowing sleep was out of the question.

(Do you want to do a time skip until they wake up? Pretend halfway through the night Martin took over Amaryllis's watch..)

Dylan
"Get up." Someone dropped something heavy onto his chest, waking him up with a start.

"...What?" Dylan groaned. Amaryllis slid open the noisy door, letting in the brillant morning sunlight. He propped himself up, shielding his eyes in protection. Looking down at the item, he groggily discovered that it was another care package from the Athena and Hephaestus cabins. Martin was passing them around, who seemed as awake and energetic as the huntress.

In fact, he was the only one who was still asleep. Everyone else was digging into the package, which contained food fresh from Camp Half-Blood. How it managed to stay fresh this long baffled him, but he figured he'd be better off not questioning it. He pryed open the ceramic wrap off the BBQ lean meat, and ravenously ate it.

Rose

Rose bolted her rations with as much dignity as she could manage, but she was hungry enough to not care too much. The others seemed to be the same, snarfing down camp food vigorously. She was reminded of one of the Huntress' wolves attacking a carcass.

Jacob

Jacob burped loudly, making Rose glare warningly at him. He grinned at his sister; he'd done that purposely to irritate her. Weren't sibling rivalries fun? He stood up, stretched, and grabbed his spear. He headed toward the slightly-open cart door and peered out. "We're slowing," he pointed out. The trees, which had been little more than green-and-brown blurs, were now more recognizable. Jacob peered around for a landmark or sign, trying to figure out where they were.

Martin
Martin quickly finished his meal. He stood up, and went over to stand by Amaryllis, who was still peering out the door. The trees were starting to become more sparse, and replaced by hard red soil instead. Rocks sprouted up instead of saplings, and mountains surrounded them in every direction. Off in the distance, a brillant city with neon-lights adorning every roof beckoned them. Martin knew immediately where they were, as he spent some of his childhood here, while his mother was a bartender. "Las Vegas," he muttered under his breath. "We're in Nevada."

Jacob

A grin broke out across Jacob's face at Martin's words. He whooped and did a fist-pump ((I couldn't resist)) and shouted, "Woo! VEGAS! Let's hit the casinos, go to a few shows, the buffet maybe..." The sound of someone clearing their throat made him turn. Rose was looking at him with an eyebrow raised, expression skeptical. "First off," she said abruptly, "We're all underage to gamble. Secondly, we're all on a quest... and it's somewhat important if you haven't forgotten. So, no, we can't stop to enjoy ourselves.

Rose

Rose hated to burst her brother's excited bubble, but honestly... they really couldn't afford to stop, as the deadline for the quest was in just a few days. She could feel the train's breaks grinding against the wheels under their compartment and heard the break's squeals as the big vehicle ground to a halt.
