Dylan
Finally Chiron's speech winded to an end, and Dylan couldn't help but notice the far off look in Claire's eyes. Her eyes were clouded, and the corners of her mouth were upturned slightly in a... smile? No way. She was staring intently somewhere behind him. "Hey Claire, what got you so happily all of a sudden?"
Her dazed eyes snapped back into attention. "Wh-what? What are you talking about?" Her eyes narrowed in defense, and her words were a little too forced to be true.
Marissa made kissing sounds, much to Claire's dismay. "Athena is joining us for rock climbing today, and Claire's going to to see Michael." She giggled, and acted as if she didn't even see Claire's withering glare. "Come on Claire, it wasn't a secret."
Dylan shook his head, smiling slightly as they started bickering. Their angry voices, however, faded into the background when he saw Jacob stand up and grasp Rose's shoulder tightly. Too tight. They were too far away for Dylan to hear the conversation, but it was anything but friendly, considering the taken aback look on Rose's face. Jacob continued on, distressed, before storming off angrily. Dylan's blood boiled at just the sight of Rose's arrogant, aloof half-brother. He hardly approved of his and Rose's friendship.
Quickly throwing out his breakfast, he muttered his goodbyes to his still-arguing half-sisters before rushing Rose's side. He tried not to sound to anxious when he asked Rose, "What happened?"
