Maddie watched, giggling slightly. She wasn't moving, until Soren moved. She sat up with him and looked at him, though her eyes were doe like, she was evidently beginning to tire. "What's wrong? Why pillows?" She asked.

Soren stood up for a moment before he sat back down with his back facing her. So she wouldn't see him cry. "To keep you safe.. I never want you to be hurt again" he said, trying to keep his voice steady. The blond began panting, clutching the bed as the pain got worse. It felt like someone was squeezing and ripping apart his stomach from the inside.

Maddie tilted her head, confused. "But that's a part of life, we can't control it. " She felt as though she had done something wrong and began to tear up. "I-I can leave i-if you w-want..." She whispered, her voice cracking a bit. She looked at him and felt rejected, as though he didn't want her anymore...

"I know but I care about you.. I don't want you to hurt, you didn't do anything wrong" he said. Soren suddenly began to feel dizzy and he collapsed onto the floor, clutching his sides and let out soft screams. The blond glanced at her with dull eyes, unable to say anything however.

Maddie stared at it him panickily before crawling as fast s she could to press the help button. She mashed it frantically eyes wide as se tried to get to Soren. But in her delusional state, she couldn't find a way over or around the railings. "Soren!"

Soren panted heavily as he coughed up blood. A group of nurses came in at the same time, one to help Maddie down next to Soren and the other two to assess the situation. His body trembled and a small amount of blood slid down his chin.

Maddie after receiving the help immediately went to Soren's side, shaking. "What's wrong with him?" she asked, staring at him. She took his hand, beginning to cry. "Soren... " She looked away, staring at one of the nurses. She took the nearest pillow and screamed into it, sobbing. She was scared, especially after seeing the blood.

The nurse rolled him onto his back and gently pressed on his stomach, letting out a soft sigh. "He seems to have a stomach ulcer.." they said, having him sit up. The blond gazed over at her and opened his arms, silently begging for her to come closer. He was scared. So much so he was trembling.

Maddie didn't understand,, but it sounded bad. "Can you fix it?" She asked after putting the pillow down. As soon as he opened his arms for her, Maddie went over, still shaking. she wrapped her arms around him, careful not to get in the nurses way. she was scared ad it had knocked her out of lala land, but she didn't feel any pain, so it was working.

The nurses moved away and nodded so she could be close to him. "Yes but he's going to need surgery" one of the nurses said. Soren groaned and leaned against her, his eyes wide with fear and uncertainty. "Maddie..." he whispered, tears in his eyes.
