Black*Star smiled at Patti. His eyes were soft, and so was his smile. "And I love you," he said in an equally soft tone. "And I won't leave you."

Patti smiled again, her expression back to its usual cheerful state. "Good. I was really worried...I was going to be mad at Cromia, too. Because everything would be normal if she wasn't around."

Black*Star smiled back. "As long as I'm staying, you don't need to worry. And I will keep Cromia back if I can."

Marrow was watching from Black*Star's shadow. Hm.....

Patti nodded again. "I hope you can...but I'm afraid of her, Black*Star. She took my Meister without question. Who's stopping her from taking you, and forcing you to go against Shibusen..?"

Marrow smiled as he watched as if what he was watching would be important later.

"I'm scared of he too..." Black*Star said. "But I won't let her take me without a fight." And what is Red*Star- He blinked away the thought.

"Well...I'm sure that's what Kid thought. But, she's making a deal with him. I know it. He doesn't want Kuu hurt..." Pattis voice trailed off. "She knows how to hurt him without laying a hand on him."

Kid couldn't even bring himself to lay down again. It was unsettling, being in the enemies castle as one of them. He left the room, closing the door behind him as quietly as he could, only to find Degan doing the same thing.

Black*Star looked slightly down, but nodded. "I had a grudge that she'd use the same thing on me, to force me to join...."

Red*Star put her ankle on her other knee, and tapped her foot, sighing. She unsheathed her elbow blade, looking at the dried blood of her younger brother.

Patti blinked, sighing. "I want life to go back to normal. With no Kishin and no Cromia." She clenched her fists, looking away. "And I'm worried about what everyone will think..of Kid, and if you get found out. He's not a traitor."

Degan raised his hand in a wave. "Hey. I'm kind of sore..." He stretched his left shoulder. "From you throwing me around."
Kid scoffed. "I could say the same. My back doesn't exactly feel the greatest."

Black*Star put his hands on Patti's shoulders. "I know he's not a traitor. And if I'm taken and Shibusen calls me one, I won't care as long as they are safe; as long as your safe." He smiled a little.

Patti smiled, finally looking back at him. "You know, last year..you would've done anything to save yourself and ego..but now, you're more concerned about others..." Her smile grew even more. "And its a good thing."
