Patti backed up, standing beside Black*Star with her hands behind her back, watching Maka and Spirit with a grin.

Maka closed her eyes and forced a smile. "Of course," She said, through half gritted teeth.

Spirit was smiling while dancing with Maka.

"I feel bad for Maka," Black*Star grinned.

"Me too!" Patti agreed. "She's got some dad..."

Maka grimaced, having to dance with her papa in front of the school. Again. Let this be over soon...

Black*Star laughed. "And I thought my dad was bad!"

Spirit had on a stupid smile while dancing.

"Gosh, does he always wear that weird smile when he's with Maka..?" Patti asked, giggling. She looked over at Black*Star, smiling and turning back.

Maka sighed, finally just letting her papa have his fun dancing with her. It's only one night. She relaxed, looking at the floor.

Black*Star scoffed. "I would be embarrassed if I were Maka."

Spirit was having fun, unaware that everyone was staring.

Patti nodded. "Me too...he always embarrasses her, even if its not a party." She tilted her head. "I don't think Spirit even...notices..."

Maka wished she could run off. Stupid Soul...pointed me out, and shoved me into him!

Soul was watching, with an evil grin on his face.

"Meh, let him think what he wants," Black*Star shrugged. "I remember when I was walking down the hall, and saw him doing this weird dance pointed at Maka, who had her back turned." He imitated the moves and sounds with a laugh.

Spirit twirled Maka, smiling.

Patti laughed at his imitation, clutching her stomach. "He...actually did that to her?" She shook her head, still laughing. "Poor Maka. He cares a little too much..."

Someone get me out of here... Maka grimaced as she was twirled, still keeping her face hidden from Spirit s he couldn't see.

Even the DJ was laughing a bit as Death Scythe and his daughter danced. He noticed the girls unamused expression, and changed the song to something more upbeat.

Black*Star laughed and nodded. "It was too funny!"

Spirit heard the song change and smiled. He danced weirder.
