The World of Shoria [1x1 with yankees324]

(Right. I posted that in a rush to avoid losing my post and forgot to edit in the rest.)

Sasaki's room was one of a prized fighter. Weapons of all sorts were on the walls and medals that her father had won on the walls as well, won from regions around Shoria. Some even came from other lands from across. She continued to get her herbs and medicines and supplies until someone burst into the room, her back to Sasaki and Ikari, her arrow pointing outwards. "Keep looking! If anything is missing, then Gram's life would've been taken for nothing." It was Anna. Sasaki's eyes were wide when she heard the news. "No way..."

Ikari's eyes went wide. He instantly turned back into a human and protectively wrapped his sturdy arms around Sasaki, bringing her close to his chest. He looked towards Anna, fury shining in his eyes. "What did you say?" he managed to growl as he narrowed his eyes toward Anna, his clenched fists already burning intensely with an icy blue flame. Now he didn't even need Slayren in his hands to set alight, he could just do it. A small smile peeked it's way onto ikari's face as he thought about this, but it was replaced quickly by another serious, dangerous expression.

Anna gasped, turning to face Sasaki and Ikari, falling back and out of the room, just her foot in the doorway. "Oh gosh! When in the heck did you get in... N-Never mind. The raid is over for today. We're not sure if those idiots will come back, but Gram died... The soldiers ot into the house and... well..." Anna trialed off and looked down.

Sasaki's expression went pale. Sasaki did hate her grandmother, but she still loved her too. Sasaki's eyes welled up and she looked up at Ikari, pushing away from him. "I-I have to see her..." Sasaki said, holding her bag limping over her shoulder, then dropped it as she backed away then ran dow the hall and down the steps. The door was wide open and Sasaki's grandmother's corpse was being carried aay by none other than Lora, scratched up and bruised, but alright. Lora's duplicates were doing the lifting. The real Lora was outside with Syn leaning on her while she scolded him, giving him little kisses as she did.

Ikari followed Sasaki out of the house, but after seeing the dead corpse of Gram, turned away and blinked tears back furiously. He really couldn't stand the sight of someone mauled, whether it be a stranger or his family. He quickly sped up his pace to a fast walk and pushed himself through the door, past the multiplied Loras and to the real one and his father. Quickly, he walked right next to his parents and looked at them in turn, question in his eyes. "What happened?" He demanded forcefully. Ikari hadn't meant it that cruelly, but it came out that way, and he sighed. "How'd Gram die? And how many did Narcada lose?"

Lora looked a Ikari, surprised that he came out of this house. She didn't think before she made a duplicate and ran to the house in a hurry. "My baby!" She cried out worriedly, running to the house. Syn leaned against the doppleganger and sighed, rolling his eyes. "You probably should have brought Ryzo with you. He is safe, right?" Syn said, having a brand new injury on his cheek from a bullet that burned a line about three inches away. Syn wasn't going to answer the question until he knew that Ryzo was alright.

Anna could see that Syn was just being mean right now, so she spoke up. "Kimmy, Barison, my mother and Lorwick were killed... That's it. Gram got shot just as she put up the barrier to protect the house and took six soldiers with her as she went..." Anna said, looking up at Ikari. Despite being older than him, she was Sasaki's height. Maybe just slightly taller.

Ikari sighed and focused on the ground below, purely saddened despite the small death toll. "So, only five deaths?" He asked Anna, ignoring his dad completely. "That's it?" He then turned his attention on his father and glared for a second before opening his mouth and saying, "Dad, we made sure to close the attic door completely, and he was asleep under the covers when we left." He didn't mention the last part was half a lie; Ryzo was awake, but lying in bed when they'd left. He squirmed a little, uncomfortable, but remained where he was. Darting his eyes to his father's face, he asked warily, "Dad, what happened to your cheek?" Ikari's eyes showed how serious he was, and how he wouldn't take a lie or no answer.

"A-Actually, only for casualties from the battle. Maybe six. We found two bodies at the west side of town, side by side at the top of a big hill. They didn't look to be slaughtered, but they were dead..." Anna informed quickly. "I'm Sasaki's aunt. Being Sasaki's mother's sister, Sasaki's grandmother was also my mom. Just to clear up!" She said quickled as well, almost lumping her words together.

Syn touched his cheek a bit and chuckled pahetically, still leaning against the duplicate. "Just a little burn... Bullets are a little harder to dodge." He said with a sigh before lowering his hand again.

Ikari nodded gravely at his dad, a little pissed at him for not being more cautious. "Well, nice to know," he said as he turned his attention back to Anna, nodding slowly. "Who, just asking, were the bodies at the west side? Was there any fighting there?" Ikari's stomach churned and knotted as he awaited the answer. Please don't be the Mandoris, he thought painfully. Talon and I can't get caught. We should have slaughtered them while we had the chance, so they'd blend in with the battle! S**t! Ikari shifted on his feet uncomfortably, dreading the answer he already knew.

Syn looked down at Ikari, raising one eyebrow in confusion. "You seem tense, Son. Is something on your mind?" Syn asked a few seconds before Anna gave her information.

"The Mandoris. That really worries me... Their plate is vulnerable without a protector. We'll need to choose a new family to protect it." Anna said, unaware that Talon was the new protector. "That boy... Talon. He said he would bury the bodies for us. Lora is just taking Gram to get buried. She said simply, her tail lashing calmly from side to side.

Ikari's ears pricked and his tail swishes back an forth impatiently. "The Mandoris?" Ikari managed to croak out after a few seconds of digesting the info. So they found the bodies, Ikari thought in dread. Talon and I could get banished again. But they can't kick Talon out because he's the new protector. Dammit. Ikari's face gave off his discomfort unintentionally. "Talon said he'd bury them?" Ikari asked, making sure he heard right. "He would bury the Mandoris? Since when is he that nice?" Ikari scratched the back of his neck as his tail continually swished back and forth, unknown to him for Ikari was preoccupied with his thoughts.
