Sasaki's cheeks reddened once Ikari's lips pressed against hers. She leaned into him once he did and went along until Ikari broke away. "Wow... Ikari. You really know how to leave an impression." She said, leaning up and kissing him back again for just a second before she hugged him. "Thanks for being here for me... You're the best." She said, resting her head on his shoulder with her arms around his neck.

Ikari stroked her hair gently and smiled. "You're the best, Sasaki. Truly." He accepted the hug and said softly, "I'm going to get my mom to help you to your sleeping quarters. Just don't fall asleep here, okay?" He winked and broke away before running upstairs to his mom. "Mom," he said quietly, blushing a bit. "We should get Sasaki to where she's sleeping. She's really tired, it's visible."

"You are strong, Ikari. You could do it without me... I would like to stay here with your father." Lora said, sitting at Syn's bedside with her hands holding Syn's with a worried expression on her face as she looked over his pained expression. SHe continued to hum a quiet lullaby to her husband. She was much too worried to leave him now.

"But mom," Ikari said, the worry clear on Lora's face. "Where's she to sleep? I'd feel more comfortable if I was on the couch and she was in a comfortable bed in my room. But Sasaki insists on sleeping on the couch. What should I do?" He cocked his head, like most canine-shifters did when they were confused.

[Mayiamaru]

Lora sighed just a bit and looked over at Ikari and sighed. "You two love each other. Why are you speaking with me when you two and talk?" She asked. "Your mother is right, son..." Syn had woken up and squeezed Lora's hand. Lora's expression had brightened instantly and she smlied down at Syn softly. "I'm so glad." She whispered quietly.

Ikari smiled at his mom first, then at his dad. "I gotta hand it to you," he said softly. "You raised a real gentleman." He winked before going back downstairs. Once back with Sasaki, he said quietly, "Your choice: You can either have a comfortable bed in my room, or sleep on this sad excuse of a couch." He smirked playfully at his girlfriend, waiting for an answer.

Sasaki just looked up at Ikari and giggled lightly. "I'll be just fine on the couch. You don't have to spoil me." She said sweetly, her tail wrapped around her waist while she stroked her own fur and picked out dirt and grime. "I'd rather not give you so much trouble, it is your family's house." She said, her expression sweet.

"No really," Ikari said as he blushed, but the darkening light hid it... barely. "You can sleep wherever. But if you want the couch, go ahead." He yawned and stretched, putting his arms over his head and pulling up with his hands clasped. He finished and brought them down, around Sasaki as he sat next to her. "Good night, my love," he murmured into her ear before lightly kissing her cheek. He smiled gently as he got up and walked upstairs. Flopping onto his bed, Ikari yawned yet again as he sunk into the mattress and fell asleep.

Sasaki smiled as Ikari went to sleep and the rain began to fall outside, getting harder and harded by the second, but Sasaki fell asleep nonetheless. She loved the rain, but what she hated, was thunder and lightning. As long as thunder and lightning didn't strike, she would be just fine. Curling on the couch, Sasaki hugged her tail and shut her eyes, snoring very quietly as she slept.
