It was a cold and damp morning, like every other morning. The fog crept through the forest, birds were singing their little songs, it was peaceful and quiet. Nothing could disturb Glactis' morning walk. The alpha wolf loved wandering through the forest, enjoying the scenery and calming sounds. The leaves under his paws crunched with every step, alerting small rodents and birds around him. Glactis didn't care, he wasn't hungry. It might look irresponsible, leaving his pack alone, but Glactis had a loyal and trustworthy beta. He trusted that his beta could manage on his own. Glactis looked up at the sky, tall and big trees reached up as high as they could. He wondered how trees could even grow so big and get so old. The wolf sighed, It all felt so... Nostalgic, melancholic even.
Glactis went on these walks very often, it was like a routine. He knew this forest like the paw pads of his paw, he knew every clearing, every lake and every river, though he tends to avoid rivers. Glactis spotted a brooklet zig-zagging between trees, he sauntered over to it and took a little drink. The ice-cold water felt nice, it was refreshing. Glactis went on with his morning stroll, jumping over the brook. The alpha wasn't far from his pack camp, he never strayed too far, in case anything ever happened.
