Riversplash had just finished her breakfast: a trout caught in the river, when she was asked to observe one of the apprentices hunting today. It was the apprentice's job to bring back as much prey as she could, and Riversplash would watch from a distance, likely doing her own hunting and fishing of her own. She had quickly agreed, setting out from the reeds of camp towards the River that lined the ThunderClan and RiverClan border, keeping an eye on Sunningrocks from across the river. There had been much dispute over that territory, and even now she was tempted to cross and lay out on the rocks, but she valued her own neck too much for that and wouldn't dream of being the reason a war with ThunderClan started, so instead she hid next to some of the bushes on the edge of the territory, watching, waiting, and simply observing the young apprentice, Amberpaw.

Milkwhisker of Thunder Clan

Milkwhisker just got back from his hunting trip with two other clan members. He had caught quite a lot of prey, three rabbits, a squirrel, and a bird. The other cats that were with him were Quailtail and Snowmelt. He places the prey they caught into the prey pile and takes one for his breakfast. He quickly finishes the rabbit in record time and goes out with a few others to patrol the border, at his leader’s request and command. He and his group headed out. The group was made of five warriors, Milkwhisker included.

Riversplash remained on her side of the border, though she was eerily close in favor of watching the apprentice from a distance. Amberpaw was doing quite well, having caught a few fish in the river as well as a rabbit on the way. The scent drifting towards her was enough to make her mouth water, but she reminded herself that she had just eaten, her tail swaying softly from side to side. She was being evaluated because her leader wanted to know if she was ready to become a warrior. It was an exciting prospect and Riversplash was excited to take part in and have a say about whether or not this apprentice was ready. She didn't notice the ThunderClan patrol heading towards where she was at the border because of the scent of the prey being directly downwind.
