The gentle and kind but wild and loud one made a small sound. The pretty, slender and long legged black one said "We need food. If we're going to travel, and search, we need to find food first. I know I'm hungry; what about you three?"

The happy and seemingly lucky female smiled as she nodded. The fiery sometimes cold one said "I'm hungry too, a bit."

The shy and nervous but loyal and playful young one nodded. "I...kind of forgot about food," the blue gray eyed one said.

The sweet and gentle but shy and nervous brown eyed she wolf looked around. The pretty red she wolf then shrugged. "Well then...the head; when they kick, they can hit you in the head. That would be bad, right?"

The friendly and helpful wolf smiled at the pup. The bright blue eyed one began to walk along then. The long legged slender golden wolf made sure she was following. Soll then continued to lead the way, away from the den.

The playful and happy pup yipped happily again. The blue eyed brown pup even wagged her tail again. She then quickly hurried after the long legged one, trying hard to keep up. She so adored the wolf that had found her and taken her in.

She had ONE job! The mottled brown wolf thought, anxiety prickling through his fur as he searched for his niece. The adult male had left his niece and ward, Ferris, in the crack between two boulders - a space that would be safe enough for her to hide from any lurking predators and shaded enough that her bold whiteness wouldn't attract them. But, as was her way, despite his constant warnings and demands - she'd gone off on her own.

Who knew what manner of beast could be out there, tracking her down as an easy target? A coyote? A mountain cat? Another wolf? Even a startled deer could do in the pup with a spooked strike to her little skull. He shuddered at the thought and kept searching, not daring to outright call her name, lest he attract unwanted attention.

Hearing pawsteps nearby, he raised his head and tail. They sounded small, like they plausibly belonged to a pup. With a sigh of relief, he started through the bushes towards the sound.

"Ferris, you sneaky little - don't you run off like that again--" He stopped as he breached the bracken and found himself gazing not at one wolf, but two. Certainly, one was a she-pup, but she was brown, not the bright white of his niece. He glanced at the parent of this pup, flicking his ears back wearily. "My... apologies, I seem to have gotten confused. I mean no harm to your pup."

Ferris hadn't meant to wander so far away from where her uncle had left her - seriously! But it was getting sooo boring waiting for her uncle to come back from his hunting trip. She wasn't allowed to go along with him yet. He told her that her fur made it dangerous for her to hunt - but she would always argue that she would eventually have to learn how to hunt by herself eventually. Her uncle wouldn't be there for her forever!

"Yes I will." Her uncle would say. "Now stay put, I'll be right back."

After 10 minutes of waiting, Ferris decided that her definition of 'right back' and her uncle's were severely different. After 20 minutes, she left the spot she'd stowed away in. She didn't mean to go as far as she did, or to get as lost as she did... But soon enough, she couldn't tell where she was or how to get back to the two boulders.

"Uncle Lune isn't going to be happy with me..." She whined softly to herself. "But if I find my way back before he even knows I'm gone, then it can be a secret of mine to keep! Y-Yeah, he doesn't need to know!" She puffed up her chest and started running through the woods on tiny paws, a flash of white cutting through the forest. It didn't last long - her breathing got heavy before she knew it and she stumbled out into a small clearing - only to see that there were three wolves already occupying the space.

She ducked back, pinning her ears and curling her tail between her back legs.
"Don't kill me! I'm not a liability to you!" She squeaked, which was an affirmation her uncle often told her. Her previous pack mates were going to get rid of her because she was a bright white target - would these wolves try to do the same?

I asked if genderfluid was okay but never got an answer, so I m assuming it's not. Also, I have three or four females, so Soll will likely be male]

Now she had Soll, and Soll adored the little one. The long legged slender golden wolf smiled at her a moment. She seemed excited by going out even to find food.

The pretty one continued to walk with the pup. Soll was startled when a grown male wolf stepped through...The golden wolf stood prospectively before Leila. However, the stranger said he meant no harm. "Are you...looking for some-wolf?" was asked. The golden head tilted, blue eyes intent on the stranger after asking.

The playful and happy pup yipped happily and wagged her tail as she walked. She saw the smile directed at her. This only served to further her happiness. The blue eyed brown pup even made a small sound as a stranger appeared...Soll stepped in front of her. She was now being blocked from the view of the adult male. She tilted her head as she looked. "Who...who's Ferris?" she asked, curious as most if not all pups are.

Uciel | Juvenile | Tagging: Lucas


Uciel may have been a peacekeeper, and more timid than some wolves, but timid and intimidated were two whole different things. Especially when he understood where this wolf was coming from. Uciel didn’t have much energy for…anything, but he would rather push himself to hunt extra than get into a scrap. He was an excelling hunter, not so much of a fighter though. He wanted to FIX the hurt, not CAUSE the hurt. "I can only guarantee I’m willing to share, but my luck's been pretty good in the glade for rabbits and mice. I can show you if you want!" He chirped.

Kade blinked at the young she-wolf in front of him, who claimed she’d simply forgotten about eating, unsure how to process the words. "I…what? How can you just FORGET about food?" Personally, Kade found that he was hungry pretty much all the time. A small wolf with a big stomach.

Why does she even need to ask that? Anything hitting someone in the head is bad. Kass huffed, but nodded. "A kick to the head by a full grown deer will kill a wolf, and if by some miracle it doesn’t, they’ll have permanent brain trauma, probably memory loss and issues functioning. They’d certainly never hunt on their own again."

Kaz sniffed the air and caught the scent only seconds before the young wolf showed up. He growled deep in his throat. He'd known wolves were around, but he hadn’t expected to encounter anyone else, and he didn’t know if she was a threat until she spoke. Even then, pups were good for traps set by more aggressive wolves. "Who're you?" He demanded, but let himself calm just a bit at the scolding huff from Ryder behind him. At the arrival of an adult wolf, Kaz's instinct was to bare his teeth and get in front of his friends defensively, but the first thing the wolf said was that he meant to harm to them.

"Then we have an agreement. Well, we should probably get a couple more pieces of prey and find somewhere to settle. I have a feeling that if you were suffering from the effects of hunger, one meal won’t sate that, and you’ll probably need a while to rest and regenerate that lost energy," Ryder realized. He hadn’t thought about that at first. He heard the growl behind him and turned to see…a lone pup? "Kaz, calm down, it’s just a pup." He glanced at Lune. "She’s not our pup. She’s a travelling companion."

Ferris shrank back at the snapping growl of one of the adults. She shouldn't have ever left the boulders - now she was gonna be crowfood and all because she wanted to have an adventure.
"P-Puh-Please..." She whined and started to creep slowly back. One of the other males stepped up, shushing the other, but he didn't address her.

However, the she-wolf approached, lowering herself to her eye level and speaking softly. It eased some of the dread that Ferris had begun to feel, but she trembled as she replied.
"I-um, I'm Ferris." She replied and watched as the she-wolf looked away from her to the other wolves. Sensing a decision to be made, Ferris approached the she-wolf and put two tiny paws on one of the she-wolf's large ones. "Don't let them hurt me, please." She whined pathetically. "I'm not a threat, I'm not!"

(@Sun - Would like to clarify that Lune and Ferris are currently separated so Ryder wouldn't find Lune with her.
@Spirit - Oh, sorry, I missed that post. They can be genderfluid if you want. I just don't know what Lune would use for pronouns upon first encounters so I asked.)

Lune nodded to the slender golden adult.
"That's correct, I'm looking for my younger kin." He glanced at the pup. "That's who Ferris is. She's... a small, white pup. Very small and she's got bright pink eyes. I don't suppose either have you have seen her?" He asked, sounding tired with worry.

Lucas | Tagging: Uciel

Lucas was weary and tired - he'd been eating bugs, berries and grasses to sustain him lately. A wolf did what he had to survive and he'd learned long ago that his stomach could stand those manners of things. He stared at the pigeon, wondering how long it had been since he'd eaten meat and then turned hard eyes to the scrawny thing in front of him.

"Give me the pigeon and then hunt another meal. If you've had luck with mice and the like, that shouldn't be hard for you." He decided and placed a paw over the de-feathered bird, dragging it towards him. "If you're happy to show me, you should be happy to hunt for me, too. If you bring me enough prey, perhaps I won't have to eat you in my immediate hunger too." He threatened. Then, keeping his gaze on the other wolf, he lowered his mouth and began to tear into the pigeon, swallowing it in rapid, starved swallows.

Ryder shot the tense, suspicious Kaz a glare before his expression softened and he looked down at the little pup. "We're not going to hurt you. We don’t want any trouble," he promised. His voice was soft, quiet. The pup was panicking. The last thing he wanted to do was further that panic. He slowly breathed out. "Where are your parents, little one? You’re not out here all on your own, are you?"

Uciel rolled his eyes. It had been a long time since he’d managed to down a pigeon, definitely his favourite from a young age, so he was none too impressed by this stranger coming and stealing his kill, but Uciel was not one to hold grudges. Hunger was hunger, and a wolf did what he had to, even if it meant thieving. Another wolf might’ve turned on the intruder and attacked, but Uciel only shot him a halfhearted glare, but he couldn’t stay mad. "First time in MONTHS I've managed to down my favourite prey, only for it to be stolen." Chances of finding another were slim to none. "I’m not afraid of you, you know. I get it. But your threats can’t frighten me. Because I know where you’re coming from." He almost smiled. ALMOST.

"You can try to attack me if you like, try to tear into your own kind, but it won’t do you any favours in the long term when there’s more long-term beneficial ideas," he noted. "If I can be bold enough, I suggest we could stick together. From the looks of it, I have the hunting skill and you're confident enough you could take someone in a fight. I can hunt for us, you can act as the protection, and we can both be stronger for it."

"You talk too much." Lucas growled through his prey. "Boo-hoo, you got your prey stolen. Get over yourself. Whining won't get you anywhere." He swallowed down his prey and pinned his ears back against his skull at the prompt of a fight. Was Lucas the type to get goaded into battle easily? Absolutely. He barely registered the proposal the other male had set up for him, until he had shoved the other wolf over, pinning him down and snarling in his face.

"It's like you're asking to get yourself killed with that attitude of yours." He snarled, but he stilled as he looked down at the black-furred wolf. For a moment, his eyes became vacant as he stared at the wolf under him. A gentle breeze ruffled the fur around Lucas' throat, exposing the half-hidden scar there. The scar that showed a full set of teeth from an adult wolf. Lucas shoved himself off of the other wolf.

"I accept your proposal, but on the amendment that you fix that attitude of yours. I won't protect someone who goes around provoking attacks from others." He said, his voice sounding as hollow as his eyes looked.
