Shelby almost got off track but followed 'Maybe I can lead him somewhere... Then I'll be able to predict his path' she thought, quickly looking over the nearest spots in the park, an idea lit up in her mind when she saw a small pond not too far away 'If I can make him turn to its direction he'll have to stop and whatever way he goes I'll be ready for it... Right? Or he won't and we'll both get wet... I'll take my chances' she decided, this time running right behind him. She can do this, he just needs to keep going horizontally.

Lincoln smiled, pointing at the food with his paw "Well, alright... You kids can eat the food then... But don't do it too fast, Jasper has gotten multiple stomach aches because of that" he advised with a snort, lying down while he observed the young dogs. Jasper sprung up and spun in glee "Yes! I get to eat hot dogs and fries for lunch! This is an awesome day little buddy" he said to Cupid while he picked up one of the hot dogs, taking a bite of it and chewing slowly "See pops? I'm eating at a good pace... I can't help it, you do things fast all the time! I'm your son so... Of course I'm gonna take after you and try to speed through everything" he replied to his father's remark, sticking out his tongue at him.

A couple seconds later Archie's tongue was free, he licked his popsicle slower this time "I like icy things but they seem to like me back too much, I always get my tongue stuck whenever I eat something made of ice" he giggled.

Shelby kept chasing after him, progressively going faster and faster, hoping he wouldn't just make a sudden turn before the pond got even closer, otherwise she'd definitely fall inside with her momentum.

Lincoln sat in silence while the pups ate, he couldn't exactly refute what his son had said. It was true, he sped through life every chance he got... It didn't mean he wouldn't stick out his tongue back at him though. Meanwhile, he stared intently at the bag of fries. Jasper snorted at his dad's antics, taking big bites out of the hot dog but making sure to chew very, very carefully.

Archie hummed in agreement "So do I, I've learned my lesson from that one time I pulled my tongue back when it wasn't done thawing... It was not a good experience at all, do not recommend" he said with a shudder, remembering how it had hurt quite a bit.

Nike sees Lincoln eyeing the fries. “You can have them” she says with a smile. Cupid was taking as big of bites as his small mouth could.

Sunset nods, “that sounds terrible” she says. “I remember once when I was little, I got one stuck on my tongue and ran over to my owner saying ‘the popsicle has eaten me!’ but in a muffled voice since I had it stuck on my tongue. He just laughed and pat my head” she says.

'Yes! It looks like he isn't seeing the pond!' Shelby thought, it was close enough that in a matter of a minute or two she would see the outcome of her little trickery. She kept her pace steady, hoping to not give away any accidental hints as to where they were heading, maintaining a focused expression on.

Lincoln's cheeks turned pink, it seems he had been caught red handed... Or pawed? Regardless, he chuckled "Thank you, you got me... I became hungry with this trip, I'll give in and eat some of them but first..." his voice trailed off as his head poked inside the bag, he soon came back up with two fries and adjusted them so they looked like tusks "Well, would you look at that... I can still do this thing! I present to you all: The walrus dog" he said, a paw raised to his chest as he confidently grinned, showing off how the fries were placed perfectly so it looked like they were his true canines. When Jasper looked up from his hot dog you could hear a muffled noise coming from him, he was trying not to laugh since he was still chewing his food, he was not being too successful.

Archie giggled at the story "That's so cute... I got a similar tale actually, it didn't involve popsicles though. Me and my owner were walking through the park this one time, it was filled with Christmas decorations because the holidays were near and I saw a giant candy cane. It wasn't edible sadly but I licked it anyway, what I didn't expect was for it to be slightly frozen, once my tongue got stuck I just flailed around saying 'I don't wanna be a decoration too!'. My owner just told me to wait a little bit and soon enough, I was free, she still teases me about it to this day" he finished, fondly remembering the memory, it became a funny one as the years passed.

The chase continued but it was shortly about to end, in what way? Well, that's what she's about to find out... Shelby slowed down slightly and finally called out to Nesquik "Watch out for the pond!" she warned him, either he's gonna be able to turn and she can catch him or he falls in it and so does she.

Lincoln clapped "That's impressive! How do you balance it so well?" he asked, full of curiosity while his son piped up "Hey, I can do that kinda stuff too, watch this!" Jasper said, picking up two fries and, after some failed attempts, placing them behind his ears, making sure they're pointing up "Look at me, I'm a bull now!" he declared, letting out a huff of air, trying to mimic one.

Uh-oh... The result was obvious now, even if Shelby tried to also skid to a halt it wouldn't work. She resigned herself to her fate and let herself slip and fall in the water, feeling around the area with a paw until she touched something soft, poking her head out she saw it was Nesquik. After a few coughs with an added moment of collecting herself, she spoke "I told you I'd get you" she said with a smirk, her paw still on his fur to emphasize her point.

Jasper stood with his chest more puffed out, trying to look bigger "I'm a veryyy angry bull! But I'm nice to unicorns, I don't like walruses though" he said with a grin, turning to his father to see if he'd pick up the hint. Lincoln snorted "Oh I see how it is, the walrus and the bull are gonna have their fight to see who's the best soon, first I want to tell Cupid how we're doing all of this" he spoke, accepting the offer to have a play fight before sitting down in front of the small pup "In my case little Cupid, I just have to hold the fries with my gums, it's pretty easy" he shifted his mouth into a snarl so that the top part of the fries is visible, changing his expression back to a softer one once he continued speaking "When it comes to your mother and Jasper... It's all a matter of balance, which makes it harder to do. But you're in luck, I got an idea for you that's easy and looks cool" he finished explaining with a wink "Just show me your front paws, this is gonna take more fries to make than the animals we chose so it's even more special" he added with a smile.
