She hadn't expected such a hard pull and almost ends up crashing into him but still holds onto the rope as tight as she can, she's pretty close to being face to face with Nesquik now. She was stunned for a moment, unsure if she should tug or not and deciding to tug anyway, that's not gonna stop her from trying to win.

The break is over, after stretching and shaking his fur Lincoln grabbed the package that Jasper was still trying to carry by himself "Hey, no fair! I nearly had it!" said the young dog with a pout while his father snorted "Sure you did... This is a heavy one champ, you gotta strengthen your jaw first before you can start picking up stuff like this" he replied with a small pat on his back as they began making their way to the trail that they had to follow "You'll see pops, I'll be able to grab anything someday!" said his pup confidently as he started rambling about all the things he's gonna do to become strong, the older dog listened to his prolonged speech with fondness and amusement.

A while has passed, the race track was starting to be in sight and thankfully this time Lincoln didn't get lost on the way to it, he had already memorized the path to get there. Observing the destination with a smile on his face he turned to his son "And... We're here! What do you think?" he asked, noticing his pup's excited expression "It's even cooler than I thought it would be! Oh I am so gonna want to run in this place" said Jasper with a grin as he began charging towards it at full speed.

He smiled "Christmas is great! It really is a wonderful holiday, it's my second favorite one... The one I like the most is Easter actually, not for that many reasons, I just find the egg hunts fun" he said, chuckling.

Lincoln nodded "Yes, that's-" he couldn't even finish his sentence as the young dog next to him quickly interrupted him "Yeah, I'm Jasper! It's so cool to finally meet you! It's been such a long time since dad talked nicely about a stranger so I just knew I had to see you for myself, you're even prettier than I imagined you'd be, and is that pup your son? Hey there little guy!" said Jasper, done with his rambling and lowering his head so he could be eye-to-eye with Cupid as he gave him a soft smile '...I don't know if I should be impressed or scared that he said all of that without taking a moment to stop and breathe' thought his father, shaking his head "Champ, take it easy, you don't want to scare the small one do you?" he said, eyes shifting between his son and Cupid.

Lincoln sighed in relief, it's not unusual for other dogs to find his son's attitude overwhelming at first so this is a welcome change of pace "They seem to get along well, still can't believe he called you pretty, truly a natural born charmer" he said, amused at his kid's antics, standing next to Nike and staring at both of the children as Jasper smirked "Yes, it is like the stone! I'm happy you like it, my mom chose it because of my eyes! She's creative, unlike pops, I think he wanted to name me... Tom or something. He can do better than that, I'm glad the name my mom picked was the one given to me" he declared, playfully sticking out his tongue at his dad, the older dog rolled his eyes with a snort as Jasper turned back to Cupid "I also like your name though, it suits you, you look like a sweet little angel" he smiled, gently booping the small pup's nose with his paw.
