Jacob wasn’t thinking about dating her but it was an option. It just wasn’t what he was thinking about right now. He relaxed a little. He enjoyed talking to her. “Well, it was worth a shot. It’s okay. I try to hit the gym daily as everyone who follows my Instagram knows.” He said and saw her blush when he suggested walking her home. “Oh I don’t mind waiting. Plus you have a dog, I like dogs. We could probably take your dog to get ice cream and sit outside if you want. There were other dogs there when I was there last night. It’s hard for me to have a dog when you travel like I do. Alissa has a dog though.” He said with a shrug. “We can get your car if you want but I don’t mind walking.” He said. Henry smiled at Jacob and then looked at Nicole. “He is a super nice guy. He doesn’t like letting people walk alone.” Henry said. Jacob laughed. “True. But I will let you walk alone all you want Henry.” He said. Henry snorted. “Yeah right.” He said. Jacob looked at Nicole. “Plus, I have my script that I should probably finish memorizing so I don’t mind waiting. I can wait outside for you. I know it is weird inviting a stranger into your house.” He said to her.

Nicole laughed at the banter between Henry and Jacob. She found that they seemed more like brothers than a manager and his client. "It's totally up to you, but if you do walk me home, I'm not going to let you stay outside, that would be rude. So you're more than welcome to come inside and meet S'mores and hang out. I was planning on grabbing my car so I can drop off that contract and Jannie's house, she's the family friend agent I was talking about earlier so that I don't have to rush to do it later and she can have time to look over it." After she finished speaking she took another bite of her sandwich.

“That works for me. We can stop on the way. I don’t mind. I am up for anything really. Better than sitting in the hotel room.” He said. He looked at his phone as it rang. “Excuse me.” Jacob said and stepped away to talk on the phone. Henry smiled at her. “So your a fan of Jake’s work? He seems into you. He is a good guy. We went to school together so he was in all my student films. I try to get him in everything I direct but he is a busy guy.” He said.

"Yeah I am a fan of Jacob's work, he's really talented and good at what he does." Nicole had watched Jacob excuse himself from the table as he went to take a phone call, she turned back to Henry to continue the conversation. She looked a bit sheepish as Henry mentioned Jacob might be into her, but then rationalized it as he was into her career going forward. "He seems like a good guy, and I have seen a lot of what you have directed, with or without Jacob in said projects, I am a fan of your work as well." She added.

“Thank you. I do love directing.” He said with a smile. Jacob came back after a moment. “Sorry it was about a charity fundraiser they want me to audition for. Hey if you don’t mind the fact you won’t get paid for it, you should do it. It is good exposure. Alissa won’t do it so they are still looking for a lead.” He said. He wondered if she would be willing to. “It’s for childhood cancer but it is a play type of thing. One night only and a few rehearsals. Only about 20 minutes from here.” He said.

Nicole took a second to think about the offer of doing the play. She liked the idea of doing it for charity a lot and thought that it would be a lot of fun. Kind of like a getting back to her roots-type deal. "I'd be down, when do auditions and rehearsals start?" She was worried that it would be while she was doing her part as an extra. She preferred doing only one project at a time so that she could put her all into her role, even if it was something smaller like an extra or someone in the ensemble, she hated the idea of letting people down.

“Auditions are tomorrow but rehearsals won’t be for a few weeks. This movie will end filming and then they start the next week. But it would be fun. Always good to help charity though. It will be good.” He said. “As long as that works for you.” He said. He hoped it would. It would be fun. “Auditions will be pretty laid back. Just run over some lines and then it will be over. Nothing major for a small play.” He said with a smile. “I can text you the details if you give me your number.” He said to her. Henry chuckled. “So you are bailing on me tomorrow? Nice. Good thing I don’t need you tomorrow and will be working with Alissa all day.” Henry said. Jacob laughed. “I told you about this.” He said. Henry nodded. “I know. That is why I am working with Alissa all day.” He said.

"Oh okay! Yeah, I can definitely join you tomorrow for the auditions." She reached into her bag for what she hoped was a scratch sheet of paper and her pen. She pulled both out and wrote down her number on the slip of paper before passing it onto Jacob. She heard Henry's comment about working with Alissa by himself and she bit her bottom lip to stifle her laughter.

Jacob laughed. “Sorry Henry. Good luck with that. I will do well at the auditions for you.” He said and smiled. He took the paper. “Thanks.” He said and put it in his phone texting her the details. She now had his number too. “Just don’t spread my number too much.” He said with a wink. He was having fun with them. He finished his sandwich. Henry did as well. “I should go. Nice meeting you.” He said to Nicole. Hope to hear from you soon.” He said. The man with the contract walked in and Henry handed it to her. “And there is the contract. All ready to be signed.” He said. He headed out. Jacob laughed. “No see you later for me? Harsh. Well I hope you have a good day Henry.” He said. Henry turned. “Have a good date. Don’t stay out too late.” He joked. Jacob rolled his eyes. “You are too much sometimes,” Jacob said. He looked at Nicole. “Ready to go?” He asked her.

Nicole felt her phone buzz and she looked down to see that Jacob had texted her. She quickly saved his number before lifting her head up to look at him."I pinky promise I will not share your number, with anyone." She added the last bit at the end. She could tell that he was joking but she wanted to let him know that she was serious about keeping his privacy. She stood to shake Henry's hand as he left and handed her the contract. "Thank you so much, Henry." She took the contract and slipped it into her bag. She gathered up her sandwich trash as Jacob finished his own. "I'm ready to go if you are." She said as she watched Henry leave the building.
