"What do you creatures want?" Caryn demanded. The Andraxian zombies whispered to each other, and then stepped to the side, allowing a much larger zombie to pass through. This zombie was at least ten feet tall, clearly female, incredibly burly, and wearing a very beautiful golden necklace, signifying her position as a leader. "I am Chieftaness Exrea-Talisi, High Priestess of the Poesa. Beware our ruined city! Once a magical, beautiful place that stood as a monument to the glory of the Axolotl, it has now crumbled into ruins because of the cursed being that lies deep within our catacombs!" She said. Her voice was raspy, and she spoke in halting, broken English, sometimes slipping into Demonic when she didn't know a word. Caryn stared at her. "Chieftaness, we mean no harm. We are on a quest to find the Axolotl, and believe she may have come here, to your ruined city." She said in Demonic. Exrea-Talisi looked at her. "I do not know if the Axolotl is here. Our scryers have not seen or heard from her in nearly a thousand years." She replied in Demonic. "I am her granddaughter. I was born with the power to see the future, and my visions have led me to believe she is here." Caryn said. Exrea-Talisi's eyes widened. "Impossible. You cannot be related to the Axolotl. Tell me, why are you really here? Have you come to rob our graves and steal from our dead ancestors?" She said, her voice now steely and angry. "No, Chieftaness! I speak the truth. I swear on my life." Caryn said quickly and pleadingly. Exrea-Talisi stared at her for a moment. "Bring our shaman." She ordered. The crowd of zombies parted, and a particularly withered alien came forwards. "See if she speaks the truth or lies. If she's lying, kill her." Exrea-Talisi ordered. The shaman took a vial of some paste and smeared it on Caryn's face. She blinked awkwardly. "Speak." The shaman said. Caryn sighed. "My name is Caryn. I am the daughter of Jheselbraum The Unswerving, and the granddaughter of the Axolotl. My companions and I have come to Andraxia on a quest to find the Axolotl, because we need her to seperate a demon from the mind of this girl." She explained, gesturing towards Misty. The paste on Caryn's cheeks glowed white. "She speaks the truth!" The shaman declared. Exrea-Talisi immediately calmed down. "You are the granddaughter of the Axolotl. Of course. How did I not see it before? I am sorry for doubting you. But our clan has been lied to many times by many impostors. It's hard to believe who to trust." She said. Caryn wiped the magic paste off of her face. "It's alright, Chieftaness." She said. "You look remarkably like your mother, The Oracle. She has come here before with the Axolotl, but that was a long time ago, before the dark being on our planet caused our demise. You have Jheselbraum's skin, and the same fins as her." Exrea-Talisi said. Then she stared at Caryn's eyes. "That shade of blue... It's so familiar. Tell me, who is your father?" She asked. "Stanford Pines, from Dimension 46'\." Caryn replied. Exrea-Talisi gasped, and the Anxdraxians began muttering excitedly. "Ford Pines? I met him, once, years ago. After we became zombies. He popped into our dimension, quite confused. My patrols caught him trying to steal from our ruins. We interrogated him about it, and discovered he was trying to stop a being of unimaginable horror from causing chaos throughout the Multiverse. Of course, we let him take parts from our ruins. Such a gentleman, even after we threatened to throw him into the catacombs." Exrea-Talisi explained. "You knew my dad?" Caryn said, incredulous. "Yes. How is he doing these days?" Exrea-Talisi replied. "He made his way home and reunited with his family." Caryn said. Exrea-Talisi smiled. "I am glad to hear it. And, of course, anyone who knows Ford Pines is welcome on our planet." She said. Then, she looked at the other Andraxians. "Let them pass into our city!" She declared. The crowd of zombies parted for them.
The entire time this conversation was going on, Justice and Order were translating everything Caryn and Exrea-Talisi said in Demonic into English.
"Your heartbeat is just a dull thrum. Your brain's electrical impulses are futile. Your existence is nothing but a speck in the infinite cosmic matter of the Multiverse. I, on the other hand? I am a writer. A creator. I make realities and living, beings. I destroy and create as I see fit. I lay waste to cities and planets on a whim. I ruin lives and rend souls for my own amusement. I. Am. A. God. And you cannot harm me in a way that matters." -Me, on a regular basis.
