Caryn sighed and got up. "Okay, let's go." She said, exiting the tent. Once everyone was outside, she put the tents and the sleeping bags back into her backpack, slung it over her shoulder, and began to walk towards the blue ruins in the distance, that were apparently cursed.
"Your heartbeat is just a dull thrum. Your brain's electrical impulses are futile. Your existence is nothing but a speck in the infinite cosmic matter of the Multiverse. I, on the other hand? I am a writer. A creator. I make realities and living, beings. I destroy and create as I see fit. I lay waste to cities and planets on a whim. I ruin lives and rend souls for my own amusement. I. Am. A. God. And you cannot harm me in a way that matters." -Me, on a regular basis.

(Have a little more to react to)
Once they got maybe fifty miles from the ruins, about two or three hours away, there began to be an air of doom. The stench of death was so intense that Caryn fell to her knees and puked. "Oh my God! Have alien bodies been rotting for thousands of years?" She shrieked. "Wait. Yes." She remembered. As if the stench wasn't bad enough, as if walking into cursed ruins wasn't enough, it got worse.

Two words: Alien zombies.

The rotting, undead aliens slowly staggered towards the party. Caryn shrieked and hid behind Justice and Order. The aliens were tall, humanoid, pink in color, had faces like hairless rats, hands with fingers like miniature octopus tentacles, and wore clothes woven from the blue grass. "Beware! Beware! Evil lies in the ruined city. Beware!" The undead Andraxians wailed.

(Oops I forgot to respond then whoops- sorry about that)

Misty covered her nose and mouth. “And maybe I should have brought that axe…” She muttered to herself, feeling as though it would be better to rid of those zombies. How? That would be a challenge, since they’re dead already. But why are they undead to begin with? “Yeah, no kidding.” Rick said, as Watcher just looked between the zombies, his eye twitching. He had been ordered to slay zombies in his past before he was shown other ways to deal with life. She just stood still, but kept on guard, in case anything happened.

"What do you creatures want?" Caryn demanded. The Andraxian zombies whispered to each other, and then stepped to the side, allowing a much larger zombie to pass through. This zombie was at least ten feet tall, clearly female, incredibly burly, and wearing a very beautiful golden necklace, signifying her position as a leader. "I am Chieftaness Exrea-Talisi, High Priestess of the Poesa. Beware our ruined city! Once a magical, beautiful place that stood as a monument to the glory of the Axolotl, it has now crumbled into ruins because of the cursed being that lies deep within our catacombs!" She said. Her voice was raspy, and she spoke in halting, broken English, sometimes slipping into Demonic when she didn't know a word. Caryn stared at her. "Chieftaness, we mean no harm. We are on a quest to find the Axolotl, and believe she may have come here, to your ruined city." She said in Demonic. Exrea-Talisi looked at her. "I do not know if the Axolotl is here. Our scryers have not seen or heard from her in nearly a thousand years." She replied in Demonic. "I am her granddaughter. I was born with the power to see the future, and my visions have led me to believe she is here." Caryn said. Exrea-Talisi's eyes widened. "Impossible. You cannot be related to the Axolotl. Tell me, why are you really here? Have you come to rob our graves and steal from our dead ancestors?" She said, her voice now steely and angry. "No, Chieftaness! I speak the truth. I swear on my life." Caryn said quickly and pleadingly. Exrea-Talisi stared at her for a moment. "Bring our shaman." She ordered. The crowd of zombies parted, and a particularly withered alien came forwards. "See if she speaks the truth or lies. If she's lying, kill her." Exrea-Talisi ordered. The shaman took a vial of some paste and smeared it on Caryn's face. She blinked awkwardly. "Speak." The shaman said. Caryn sighed. "My name is Caryn. I am the daughter of Jheselbraum The Unswerving, and the granddaughter of the Axolotl. My companions and I have come to Andraxia on a quest to find the Axolotl, because we need her to seperate a demon from the mind of this girl." She explained, gesturing towards Misty. The paste on Caryn's cheeks glowed white. "She speaks the truth!" The shaman declared. Exrea-Talisi immediately calmed down. "You are the granddaughter of the Axolotl. Of course. How did I not see it before? I am sorry for doubting you. But our clan has been lied to many times by many impostors. It's hard to believe who to trust." She said. Caryn wiped the magic paste off of her face. "It's alright, Chieftaness." She said. "You look remarkably like your mother, The Oracle. She has come here before with the Axolotl, but that was a long time ago, before the dark being on our planet caused our demise. You have Jheselbraum's skin, and the same fins as her." Exrea-Talisi said. Then she stared at Caryn's eyes. "That shade of blue... It's so familiar. Tell me, who is your father?" She asked. "Stanford Pines, from Dimension 46'\." Caryn replied. Exrea-Talisi gasped, and the Anxdraxians began muttering excitedly. "Ford Pines? I met him, once, years ago. After we became zombies. He popped into our dimension, quite confused. My patrols caught him trying to steal from our ruins. We interrogated him about it, and discovered he was trying to stop a being of unimaginable horror from causing chaos throughout the Multiverse. Of course, we let him take parts from our ruins. Such a gentleman, even after we threatened to throw him into the catacombs." Exrea-Talisi explained. "You knew my dad?" Caryn said, incredulous. "Yes. How is he doing these days?" Exrea-Talisi replied. "He made his way home and reunited with his family." Caryn said. Exrea-Talisi smiled. "I am glad to hear it. And, of course, anyone who knows Ford Pines is welcome on our planet." She said. Then, she looked at the other Andraxians. "Let them pass into our city!" She declared. The crowd of zombies parted for them.

The entire time this conversation was going on, Justice and Order were translating everything Caryn and Exrea-Talisi said in Demonic into English.
"Your heartbeat is just a dull thrum. Your brain's electrical impulses are futile. Your existence is nothing but a speck in the infinite cosmic matter of the Multiverse. I, on the other hand? Misty was relieved by the positive response from the others. Watcher still kept himself on alert, just in case. He couldn't let his guard down again so easily. But he tried his best not to go out of control for entirely no reason. Watcher put down his hand and then looked over at Misty, who was listening with excitement. If she was going to be free soon, then things would change up a lot soon. For better. Rick was just listening, he didn't have much to do with this, but he did look off from time to time due to distraction.

They walked the last fifty miles into the ruined city, which took about another three hours. When the finally got there, Justice complained about being hungry, so Caryn suggested they all stop for lunch. She opened her backpack and gave everyone sandwiches. After they ate, Caryn led them directly to the center of the ruins, then dropped. "I feel... A strange pull. Like a primal urge. This seems to be the epicenter or whatever. There's something powerful beneath us." She said. Justice and Order sniffed. "I don't smell anything. My senses are being overloaded." Order complained. Caryn moved aside a strange piece of stone, revealing a chute that seemed to be at about a forty-five degree angle to the ground. "We have to slide down, don't we?" She sighed. "You ready?" Justice asked her as the dogs moved to either side of her. "Nope. Let's go!" Caryn said. She slid down the chute, cheering as if it was a slide. She blinked her eyes, and found herself staring at two paths that led towards the middle and the right, and a blank wall on the left. She decided to wait for everyone else before choosing which way they went.

All of them slide down one by one. Misty going before Watcher or Rick, just since she was that excited. She made herself calm down at the bottom though, knowing there was still quite a way to go. She couldn't let herself be too impatient. She didn't say a word, but yet her mind had suddenly filled with that conversation she had with someone whole claimed to follow The Axolotl with connection. She had believed so, even to the day, after The Axolotl Follower was missing. She had gone missing before the fire, long before it too, but she never forgot the words she was told. She even wrote down quotes in her journal, the most important one being exactly: "The future awaits, and it’s going to be good, you have to get to pain... To get to paradise."
Misty took a deep breath, noticing everyone was now in the one place again. She noticed there were two paths, and they had to decide. "So, which way?" Misty asked.

Caryn stared at the path in front of them, then at the path to the right. "Left." She said, walking towards the blank wall. "Uh, Caryn? There's no path over there." Justice pointed out. Caryn looked at the dog, met her gaze, and silently stuck her hand through the wall. "It's an illusion." She said, totally deadpan. Then she walked straight through the fake wall. How had she known the wall wasn't real? Simple. The strange power was pulling her through the wall, sort of. She was drawn to it like a nail to a magnet. Caryn had the most satisfied smirk on her face as everyone followed her through the fake wall. "Okay. Watch this." Caryn said. She opened her backpack, took out a large stone, and threw it down the hall. Arrows shot out of hidden openings in the wall. Traps on the floor snapped shut. Lasers fired at the stone. Finally, a section of the floor slid back and the stone fell into lava. Then the traps reset themselves. "Ready? Follow my steps. Do EXACTLY as I do if you don't want to die." Caryn told everyone. Then she backed up, sprinted, leapt over the arrows, dodged each snapping trap, ducked under the lasers, and jumped over the pit of lava, landing safely on the other side. "Come on! It's not that hard!" She said. Justice and Order stared at each other, then used their wings and flew over all the traps, landing next to Caryn. She facepalmed. "Or you could do that." She sighed.

Misty blinked. "Is it really-?? Look, I'm not as great with these things. It's even kind of difficult to run so fast when you have a demon inside your body-" While Misty talked, Watcher had set up one of his stranger devices, which ended up moving him, Misty, and Rick to the other side. Misty stopped and put her hands down. " Since when could you do that?" She asked Watcher. " I's something I do not like resorting to, it can end up with danger. But this is another, newer dimension. I probably can't be tracked all the way here." Misty was confused with what Watcher said, but then shrugged and turned back to Caryn. "Anyways, what next?"
Rick looked at Watcher. "You're wanted?" Watcher shook his head a bit. "Only in one dimension. I left that life long behind though."

Caryn stifled a laugh. "One dimension? My dad is wanted in like, a hundred, and The Axolotl called HIM a straight-up SAINT." She muttered, hoping Watcher didn't hear. "Come on. Further this way." Caryn called. She led the group around a long, winding passage, pausing to disarm traps as she went. Nothing too big, until they got to a single door. The doorway had been bricked over, and there was a wooden sign with a message written on it in an alien language hanging above it. "Ugh. What is that, Andraxian? I can't read that." Caryn muttered. Justice and Order looked up at it. Then Justice yelped and stumbled backwards. Order's eyes widened. "Okay, so apparently, this door leads to the next level of the catacombs. Only problem? It's enchanted. It will only open if blood is smeared on it." He said. "Uh. That's alarming, but... Nothing we can't handle." Caryn said. "No. It will only open if the blood of a six-fingered person is smeared on it." Justice said. Caryn blinked. "I'm sorry, WHAT now?" She said. "We have two options. Either we go back around and try to access the door from the other path, the middle route, which is far more dangerous and will probably result in half the group dying." Order barked. "Not happening." Caryn said. "Then I guess we're going with this option." Justice muttered. Caryn sighed. "Fine." She reached into her bag and pulled out a short dagger. "This is gonna hurt." She muttered. She jammed the blade into her palm. "Ow. Ow, ow, ow!" She said. She yanked the dagger out of her hand and pressed her bleeding palm against the door. Then she shoved the dagger back into her backpack. "Did not think I'd be cutting into my hand today." Caryn said, annoyed. She pulled her hand away from the door. Almost instantly, it rumbled and slid back into the wall, revealing another chute, which was much steeper and wound around. "Great. Let's go!" Caryn said. She slid down the chute, again laughing like it was a slide.
