"welcome to shalorsville radio! im your host, mark johnson! today the forecast is... cloudy. nothing unusual for our usual shalorsville! we've seen no rise in crime as of late and flu rates have dropped significantly! though there was a three car collision on i-97 around 7 this morning, the wreck has since been cleaned and no persons were injured. that's about it for your daily flash broadcast! thanks for tuning in, and remember; it's always cloudy in shalorsville!"
shalorsville, huh? so that's what this place is called. and it's always cloudy? go figure. this place seems dead. the last thing you remember is waking up with a portable radio in hand, no batteries, and a bag with your basic belongings inside. thats it. oh and the clothes on your back.
it literally is always cloudy, that johnson guy was right. anyway, you dont remember anything from before you got to shalorsville; just that youre here now. and now... what? why not explore? meet the locals? what could possibly go wrong?
so shalorsville is your normal everyday city with a twist. i-97, a main highway you've always known, runs through the center of town. mark johnson, the city newscaster, lives in the barricaded town hall with who knows what inside. the town itself? ridden with zombies, of course. the skies are always grey; there is no night time, not in shalorsville, and if you're quiet enough you can hear the undead groan in annoyance and hunger in the distance. oh, and he lied, there was no car crash. because zombies cant drive.
