xxxThe gentle breeze lingered by, giving the leaves along the forest floor a push forwards. Severin noted the subtle change in atmosphere as he ventured through the woodland depths. He hummed to himself. His voice raspy and deep. He ought to get back now, or at least he assumed but a few more minutes wouldn't hurt. After all, spending some time to himself and away from his family's continuous grumbling shouldn't be a problem, though he'd most likely never admit to that. It would only end up in another scolding. While walking, he listened closely to the environment around him; the birds, the gentle crunch of a branch, the rustling of leaves and even the wind that continued to blow in his direction. His family never understood why he liked it here so much. To them this was just a bunch of nothing. His sisters would complain day after day. Their questions never managed to bore him though, as annoying as they might've been. In fact, it brought some entertainment to his daily life at times. But that still didn't change his disliking towards them nonetheless.
He thought to himself, breakfast must've been done with by now. This would be a good time to head back, and thus Severin began making his way home. Sooner or later, leaving the vast woodland behind him as he slowly approached the dirt path which would lead him back into town. And before he even realised, Severin noticed the large castle building ahead of him. His shoulders rolled back and he took a deep breath, as if preparing for the worst. He had been greeted by the guards at the entrance at the time, and he returned the salutation with a simple nod. And, upon his return back home he had noticed how unusually quiet it was. Though, the further he made his way inside, a series of silent whispers came from around the corner and, god could he care any less but the voices he heard seemed to belong to his parents. Unfortunately, they were too quiet from where he was and getting any closer would only result him in being seen by the two.
Though, before he even got a chance to slip away it appeared that somebody had already caught a glimpse of him from around the corner. Well, this definitely wasn't how he planned it in his head that's for sure. Severin stood in silence, his hopes were that his parents would simply forget and let go of what they heard, or thought they saw, but it seemed a little too late for that because his mother had already called him inside, "Severin, dear? We know you're there. We'd like to talk." Right, talk, yeah. But Severin registered the word talk as criticize, especially when it came to his family. He doubted this would be anything good, after all, it was usually a bad thing if either of his parents wanted to speak to him personally, but both of them? Severin couldn't remember that he'd done anything to their disliking recently-- in fact, he's been quite well behaved, especially towards them. After hesitating for almost what felt like an entirety, he walked into the dining hall. The smell of freshly baked bread lingered from the kitchen and that was all he could think about, he hadn't even acknowledged his parents. Oh, what he'd do just to get a bite of--- "Severin? Severin, are you alright?" His mother would furrow her brows in his direction as she asked, her expression looked as if to be full of worry. In response, he nodded and gently shrugged his shoulders with a dismissive laugh, "Well, yes. I suppose." He said confidently, turning to look at each of his parents who looked quite...unamused. Dear god, just get to the point, please.
