The feeling of beauty being forced down your throat. And too much of a good thing. Yes, feeling pretty is nice..., she crouched by the box, her face framed by the edges, But it's feeding into the very thing that makes us feel the need to be pretty. A good thing, like feeling good about your appearance, is destructive and cruel in a high enough dose. Do you feel that way? She looked up at Sor. Like feeling pretty because people don't like you?

Sorren's eyes moved to the other woman as she bent down to look at her sculpture. She thought for a moment, "yes that makes sense... You shouldn't change your appearance to make people like you, but at the same time if it really makes you that happy I don't think it's all that bad. As long as it makes you genuinely happy. I like to look pretty. I don't necessarily do it for other people but it's nice when people find you attractive," she responded. Sorren liked it when people thought she was pretty, especially women, but she wouldn't drastically change herself for other people to like her

I used to want people to like me, and go out of my way to be everything to everyone, be this perfect child. Bori was always better then me, though. I could never outshine her, and ended up putting so much in. Art is...art is the one way I truly feel free. No one can control my art. It's beautiful and painful and I can express myself any way I choose. She shook her head, the rainbow locks moving like seaweed under water. Asdia sighed. Just to let you know, me closing the door on you earlier was nothing against you.

Sorren listened as the woman spoke, her expression softened. She felt bad that Asdia had tried so hard to appease others. "Well it's wonderful that you were able to find the thing that allowed you to be yourself. Everyone needs that." she glanced around the room again, re-examining some of the work as she got a better understanding of who Asdia was. "Oh it's alright, you'd probably be surprised by how often I get that response. Though not so many were totally unaware that I've been hired." she chuckled, shrugging.

"Today is just an introductory day. An intake day, if you wull. I like to get to know people before I try and help them. Not everyone is the same, the same things don't always work for everyone so I just want to get to know a bit about you."

As I said before, I don't need a caretaker. Everyone else looked at it as a job. I'm not a nine to five, you know? She picked up a glass jar filled with assorted toys, with "Nostalgia" painted in green on the side. I'm a damn project. She pointed to a corkboard with gummies stuck on it with thumbtacks. That isn't what a desk job gives you. See what I mean?

Sorren chuckled, "you're right, it's a 24-hour gig," she responded. The woman looked at the jar, her eyes narrowing. Ren didn't get it. Her eyes then followed the woman's finger towards the board. Asdia sure was a character. "Well you're a project I'm happy to take on. This isn't just some job to me. I want to help people," she explained. "It most definitely isn't. I'm not cut out for a desk job anyway. So what's with the gummy bears" she asked curiously.

Ooooh, that one was one time my sister suggested I get some gummie to tempt me to eat. I forgot they were a snack, and kinda...did that. Never let a mixed media artist forget what she is having as a snack, and what is for art. Because everything is art materials. Most of my favorite pieces involve food, anyways. She looked around. Do you want some lemonade? That's the only thing I can get down right now, I have a bad headache.

Sorren chuckled at the story. "Hmm, is that so? Guess ill just have to remember that!" she said with a slight head nod. "Oh sure, that sounds lovely, I like lemonade." she nodded. Sorren smiled as the woman moved about. "Are there any medications you do... Or, should be taking?" she asked.

Asdia handed Sor a water bottle. Good question. I am sure there is, but I can't remember. She shrugged. I'm disorganized. I can't even remember the last time I had a doctor's appointment...so yeah, pretty sure I am supposed to be on.....anxiety medication? I think? As I said, I can't remember.

Sorren took the bottle, thanking Asida. She sighed upon hearing that the women didn't even know if she had medication. She had to make a mental note that they would have to schedule a doctor's appointment for her. Those were important. "Well, we can work at organization. That's not too bad of a place to start, you'd surprised by how much better you feel having your things organized."
