Isabella- f- Renier- blue eyed blonde- golden light and dog shift (mix of her parents powers)- married- Lucas is her son, Rigel is adopted- Tags: X

The blonde -X-

Haruna- Haru- male- Embere Heir- homosexual; Rigel is crush- Ai and Nina- Demon (reverse Appaloosa (black with white spots) and Angel (red (blanket?) Appy)- kitten Dream (white with black forehead streak and tail)- manor- Tags: Rigel

The dark haired boy hummed a couple small sounds as he followed the blonde down the hall and to the steps. He fell silent as they went down. He then nodded to the male vampire. He said "Yeah, that's...a good idea; I mean... that's why they're here, right? To help us with the horses." He shook his head a couple times after saying this, but it was true. He then nodded as Rigel said he didn't really want to walk now. He shrugged and said "Okay," then looked around again, trying to see anyone.

Aiya- Ai- f- 4 y- July 12- human- bi when old enough; no crush- sister Nina- Ebony pony (black with white socks and blaze)- wants a pet- Tags: Nina, lady staff members

The reddish brown haired little one heard Nina grumbling...It was no wonder, as her sister wasn't really a morning person. She didn't know if it really was still morning, anyway. It may be later into the morning, closer to lunch, she didn't know. Shaking her head, she watched them manage to get Nina up. She then looked to two pairs of dresses. There was a pink one alongside a blue one, then a bluish one alongside a purple one. She wanted to wear the purple one...but knew Nina would look good in that pink one.

Aralynn

"I'm afraid I gave it away.", said Aralynn laughing shyly as she walked towards the shop after scooping up Vivian's arm in her own, "My overzealousness seems to have given that fact away. Controlling my emotions has been rough for me lately and apparently I still have a long way to go to get a hand over them. Thank you."

The girl nodded her thanks as she walked with the other into the little shop while the new gentlemanly face held the door open for them.

Orion

Postby owl0430 » Sat Jun 24, 2023 8:39 pm

" Haha, it's quite alright. Events such as these do not happen often, so even us who have attended a fair few of them still get rather cheery at the prospect of attending another one. " politely, he allowed the two women to enter the store before following suit.

"Is this not your first ball then sir?"

Turning his head over his shoulder to look at them, a smile appeared on his face- followed by a light-hearted laugh. "I wish this ball was my first, from what I've heard they're planning quite the spectacle this time around. 'Long as they manage to meet expectations, for first timers this will be a moment that should live in their hearts forever. Plus the rumor has it almost all members of the founding families will be in attendance. If nothing else serves for proper entertainment, their interactions sure will!" an eager grin with just a hint of fangs exposed- mannerisms not unlike those of two friends sharing in a secret. There was no hint of malice or otherwise ill intent in his grin.

" You sound like you've much experience in these events." Vivian, careful not to take a stance on the founding families, politely and eagerly continued the conversation. Though her comment seemed to breifly ignite a spark of mischief in his eyes, though it quickly went out. " I suppose you could say that..." he'd began, only to stop in the middle of the store. " Alas, I fear our time to chat has come to an end. Though I am ever flattered to have had the opportunity to talk with two wonderful ladies such as yourselves. Take care to properly rest amidst all the excitement, alright? Perhaps are paths shall cross again at the ball." With a smile and a polite bow, Orion left to speak with the store's owner while the two ladies were free to browse the small shop's selection of gowns.

"You know..." Turning the tables and pulling on Aralynn's arm this time, Vivvian dragged Aralynn over to the first line of dresses, using her free hand to browse through them absentmindedly. Her voice came out in a whisper. " Based on his attire, I'm willing to bet he's either from one of the founding families, or he works in a rather high rank at the castle. " Letting loose Aralynn's arm from her grasp, she examined of the dresses with more intrigue then the others. This one a pale blue- though one in a pale shade of orange had also caught her attention. " But purebloods, especially the founding families...they usually aren't that nice to people like us. Stumbling into one like that could've been fatal, or at least have consequences...but I didn't even feel a threatening aura from him. Not to mention it'd be unlikely for one of them to have ventured this far from the city's central shopping district..." A little more examination of the ruffles and frills on the blue dress before she turned to the orange one. " So it's more likely that he's from the castle...they primarily employ halflings and the offspring of changelings at the castle, but most wouldn't have gotten to a high enough rank to afford that kind of attire... it makes one rather curious, doesn't it?" Hushed words spoken with uninhibited curiousity.

Meanwhile, up at the counter, Orion's conversation with the shopkeeper could be heard.
"Ahaha, yes, I know- they all always get so reclusive trying to figure out the perfect accessories and the like before the ball..... no, she doesn't, but I think she rather enjoys teasing all the bachelors...oh, yes Ma'am sorry- that must've slipped my mind! The ordered dress was put under the name Esme, I believe. Esmeralda if she happened to use her full name."

Aralynn

Postby wolfrunner » Sun Jun 25, 2023 5:13 am

She watched the man make his way over to the seamstress for a brief moment before being dragged, half following Vivian over to the gowns on display. Her eyes turning from the figure who'd helped them inside to the yards of fabrics in the form of numerous gowns just waiting for the right women to come and purchase them. There were more then what one would think a little shop would have on hand. The colours were quite lovely too with many being soft and bright ones. Aralynn was busy examining a very pale golden dress while listening to Vivian, a gentle hand scooping up the fabric of the skirt getting a feel for it. "Sounds as though him being a Pureblood is the least likely option.", she said in reply, "He must work at the castle then, especially if he seemed genuine in his mannerisms and words like that. It makes sense. Though I guess he could just have a soft spot for all pretty women no matter where they may fall or, more likely, he has no idea where we fall so he decided to be gentle just in case as a precautionary measure. The last two seem more likely out of all of them if you ask me. This is the Capitol regardless of where in the Capitol we are so unless our kind are common here..." Still the more experienced female was right....it was all something which made one wonder...

Aralynn had just moved onto another dress ready to examine it when she stopped just as her finger tips brushed the layer of lace covering one of the dress sleeves. Hand frozen in outreach towards the gown with her fingers twitching hoovering there in midair as though stuck and unable to move back.

Her breathing caught in her throat was coming in small intakes.

Crimson locked the gown hanging up before her but seeing nothing. At least nothing which could be seen by anyone other then Aralynn herself.

She couldn't move.

Her mind suddenly going blank making her unable to think or speak.

Suddenly a gentle hand was placed on Aralynn's shoulder.

"Oh- my goodness, are you alright?! " Vivian half-whispered, half-exclaimed at Aralynn. " It's nothing to be that worried about! If nothing has happened yet, I'm sure we're fine." Attempting to change the topic then, " But that dress is quite lovely! Has it caught your eye? That shade of gold, especially pale as it is, should go well with your complexion. Though I'd advise against any brighter golds. " such words were spoken in a regular voice, but they'd already recaptured the attention of the pureblood in the store with them.

The seamstress having gone to fetch what was originally supposed to be Esmerelda's dress.

Putting an arm behind his head and holding onto the back of his neck, Orion bore a cheeky, playful grin. "Oops- was I figured out already?" he chuckled. "My apologies- I should have introduced myself. 'Tis just nice to feel...normal, every now and again. It's more fun. We could just have a casual conversation before, could we not? But now you'll probably start acting overly formal, just like everyone else..." a tone was held in the last sentance that seemed a bit sad and regretful.

An act, of course.

Aralynn

Postby wolfrunner » Sun Jun 25, 2023 6:55 pm

The young changeling startled suddenly as she felt the soft pressure on her shoulder. Only when her eyes came up to meet with those of Vivian did she relax somewhat though still she appeared frightened. "Vivian-", she breathed when she saw just who it was who'd placed a hand on her shoulder.

Then however the man who'd started speaking with them upon walking into the shop rejoined them and he drew her attention away from the dress which she'd been examining. Crimson instead resting on the male. Hands having dropped from reaching for the fine fabric of the long sleeved gown as she turned to face the man who approached them. The urge to step closer towards her companion confusing Aralynn as to whether it was due out of the want to protect Vivian or the want to be protected by her.

But if he thought she was going to show any sort of proper decorum towards him…

Even if the young changeling wanted to, knowing or having an idea who this man could be prevented her from showing the due respect despite needing to keep up faces. Still that didn’t mean she was totally rude. “Oh I Twould not worry about that Sir, for if it please you we can still have common conversation. Tis no harm done or in such a thing after all. No?” The girl had to keep it together and appear as though nothing was wrong or else draw unwanted questions.

Vivian, still at a loss as to who the man was, kept silent for the moment.

" Haha, I suppose you are right! This is not a formal setting afterall, so who would be here to judge us. Though don't worry- should any of them find out, I shall protect you both." a wink at the two ladies before he took a step back.

" I must say though, I quite like you miss. You're bold. We don't see your kind too often around here, at least when it comes to changelings such as yourself. It's a nice change of pace." The turn of his head as the seamstress returned to the front counter with his sisters dress. "Margaret, could you do me a favor?" he called out, to which the woman nodded her head politely.

" Once we're done here, please show these two ladies to your special collection. Such fine garments are fitting of beautiful souls, yes? If they can't afford it, please just send the cost information to me." " As you request Mr. Rosenwald." spoke the seamstress.

And it was that moment it clicked in Vivian's head as to just who this strange man was. And her eyes went wind.

"S-sir, your highness I assure you such kindness is not neccesar-"

"But I insist. Would it not be far ruder to decline such a gift?" Biting her lip, Vivian blushed a bit from embarrassment and averted her gaze. "Good. Then it's settled. I do hope you manage to find the dresses of your dreams here. Margaret is a fine seamstress. None I have seen pay nearly as much detail to their stylings as she." Returning then to the counter, the seamstress- now known as Margaret- handed Valentine a beautifully wrapped box that contained Esmerelda's gown.

"Thank you for everything Margaret. I really do appreciate it. And as for you two ladies- I hope to see you at the ball. So until then...Ms. Kurenai." a comment made so casually at the end, right as he walked out the door, that one could have easily overlooked just what last name he referred to Aralynn by. Or thought he was still talking to the seamstress.

Rigel

Postby wolfrunner » Mon Jun 26, 2023 9:32 am

The time passed quickly.

The female staff members had wasted no time in rousing the girls from their slumbers to get them moving about for their day….well it took Ai some sisterly intervention to get Nina going. But that is beside the point. The point is that, eventually, the door to the younger Renier’s quarters opened and out stepped two awake little girls ready for the day.

One of the female staff members smiled at the children, “Now come along. Brakefast should be ready and then we have explicit instructions from Master Rigel to see you both to the Misstress for the day.”

Nina found this odd. “We aren’t going to be with Haru and Rigel?”

“Master Rigel and Sir Haruna are going to be spending the day in town for the day Little Miss. But I am sure they shall be back by supper. Do not fret.”

The dark haired boy shook his head a couple times. He continued to look around, finally spotting someone once more. He nudged Rigel a bit, and pointed to them. "Don't know if they could help...but there's someone," he said to the other.

Aiya- Ai- f- 4 y- July 12- human- bi when old enough; no crush- sister Nina- Ebony pony (black with white socks and blaze)- wants a pet- Tags: Nina, lady staff members

The reddish brown haired little one hummed quietly. She'd already been awake when the female staff members had come in. They hadn't really had to do anything with her. Instead, they'd turned their attentions to her twin sister. She'd managed to help in that endeavor, for it truly was one. As stated before, Nina had never seemed to be a morning person. Not that Ai was really much of one either, not early mornings. She'd wake at what was probably a reasonable time, if not plagued by nightmares...

They were promptly moved about to be put into their dresses of the day, and hair brushed. Once again, their hair was put into ribbons. Nina seemed to have chosen the pink dress. Ai had nodded along, accepting the blue dress and a striped ribbon. She giggled now, at the fact Nina used a nickname for Haruna now. However, she'd end up calling him Haru herself, too. She didn't bring it up, just giggled a bit. She said "Yeah, Nina, we'll see them again soon."
