" Most things have been quieter for me, albeit a bit busy. Most of it, however, has just been the work assigned to me by the king- work I would not have if she hadn't...nevermind. He's been assigning me his dirty work- assassination, if you would, of those who he deems a threat to his reign. For tomorrow's assignment he is forcing me to return to the last place I ever wished to go- the town now known as Angel's Hollow. You'll recall I'm not very fond of that wretched place." The last sentence held a bit more emotion than the rest of his words. " As for the Lycans, it is rather odd. Typically they only appear once in a blue moon, and even then most commonly on moonless nights. However, as I mentioned, aside from the one, I haven't been face to face with any of them, I've only sensed their presence. Yet not a single vampire has been attacked. In fact, they don't seem to wish to make themselves known, rather they almost appear as if they are protecting something...at any rate, it is something to look into another time."
Wiping some of the blood of his face, the male finally stood up. " Every day? Even with your duties as General, and personally seeing to her every whim? It would seem I'm not the only poor fool here- though you were the last person I thought capable of making such a mistake. Oh, and what was that nickname you had for her, I vaguely believe I heard it once- oh, yes, your queen? If I didn't know any better I'd think the two of you to be lovers." he mused, a mischievous grin on his face. " Alas, I fear I must be going now. Always things needing done, and I have to change before returning home- I have someone waiting on me and it would be most unsightly to return looking as I do."
------meanwhile at the Reneir Estate--------
There was a reason she had elected to take her meals once again in her room for the day- and it had nothing to do with the fact it would require her to leave her room, no. Rather, no sooner had she gotten herself around for the day than a certain unfamiliar presence knocked at her door. She had originally possessed every intention of telling Estella about the most peculiar dream she had had, but now she found herself nibling on her meal with the vampire she recalled going by the name Orion. The silence between the two broken by naught but the sounds of the winds and the birds.
