The lady in waiting had been...off...all day and it hadn't exactly gone unnoticed by other members of the family's household staff. Though typically Rena was committed to her duties around the estate house, as of the morning the young women had been more then she normally was so. Normally when she worked Rena was cheerful or at least polite to those others around the house, yet since she awoke and began even her normal routine chores she did so in utter silence. She made no attempt to interact with anybody.
She made every attempt she could possibly to avoid members of the family and their guests.
The lady in waiting even made every attempt she could to avoid going any place near by Estella's recovery room. Whenever she would have to be even in the same hallway the young women passed her chore onto another staff member or took the longer route to her destination. It twas nothing personal against her friend, but Rena knew that Akira would be there with the other maid and she had no desire to see or speak with the former Princess again. Not so soon at least definitely. The blond just didn't understand and yes......jealousy did very much play a part in what had occurred between the pair of young women who had once gotten along well with each other. But who would blame the young women? Despite what atrocities she'd seen Akira had still caught the genuine eye of a high ranking vampire.
Despite the atrocities Akira had every reason to be happy with her new comfortable life here at the manner. Like the new Lord would allow anything ill to befall the women he had even the slightest emotional attachment too.... Rena knew Lucas well enough to know Akira was as good as untouchable now even in regards to His Majesty, the black haired Pureblood only followed orders from him because he didn't feel like ruling. It wasn't needed.
Rena had been busy washing and setting out linens to dry afterwards when the chef approached her with a cart of food and drink. At first she paid him no mind. This chef was on his way elsewhere and was just passing by after all, twas not uncommon.....or so she had thought at first. Though those thoughts changed near instantly upon hearing a voice she'd thought she'd never hear again even with his previous promise otherwise. Pillow case falling to the floor, "It....can not be....!?"
