The journey was going to take most of the day. As such, t'was best they made some form of conversation, right?

"Aralynn...are you doing well?" he questioned, wishing to check on his love's wellbeing after their confrontation with her siblings.

Rena stiffened a little bit from surprise but quickly just let her emotions take over when Orion embraced her. The young women leaning into the second of his kind even against the advice she knew she had been given by her fellow maid before their outing. While she did know it was unwise to let him any place near her neck, Rena wasn’t about to deny or shun any form of affection from the male vampire. He had been kind to her. More then that actually, for he’d even dared to outright call himself her potential suitor.....a thought which still caused odd emotions in her. It was ridiculous to think of but Twas still nice to hear and feel wanted in such a way.

It took a “My Lady” from Estella to snap the younger lady in waiting out of enjoying Orion’s affections. At which point, “My Lady Akira.”, she repeated her friend’s words.

The dark haired boy sighed and shook his head, looking at the vampire a moment. "I...should probably go too," he said. He'd watched his sister just storm out of here, after all. Still, sometimes he was too polite for his own good and, as he turned to the door he paused, waiting to be dismissed or...something.

"Rena!" she exclaimed this time, mouth agape at the sight of her lady in waiting with Orion.

The shock turned into a form of rage once she was able to process the sight before her. Orion, near not just Estella- who was still weakened from whoever attacked her- but Rena as well? Evidently playing Mr. nice guy and wooing her over- a masqueraded wearing the guise of a saint. But she knew the truth- as did Lucas, she was sure. Orion was no saint. To some, he was very nearly the devil himself- or at least his advocate.

"Rena, step away from that crook with instant." A command- rare it was for the princess to exercise any authority at all. To genuinely act the part she was raised to play. But extreme circumstances required extreme measures. Clearly demonstrated by the unsheathing of the handmade stake, ragged and cheap as it looked, from its place around her ankle.

The ride had started off quiet.

The boys had stopped their back and forth for now. She had been quiet ever since she’d stepped out into the hallway and Al brought to her attention her approaching si-the approaching humans wishing to speak with him.

So when the silence was broken by Al asking how she was faring, the girl replied with ease as she played with a bit of the horse’s mane in her fingers. “For a moment there I was frightened. I feel I acted a little bit too friendly with our hostess yesterday when she came calling during supper and blew my cover, and then when Haruna called out.... I thought it was all my doing. But then you acted and everything turned out alright. It Twas a surprise that our hostess basically became what she was supposed to in the end though, I wasn’t expecting any of that for certain.”

The dark haired boy stepped out of the room quickly, leaving Lucas to his thoughts. He hurried down the hallway. He knew Akira had probably gone back to Estella's room. He figured he should leave her to it, and go see Rigel and the girls. As he headed that way, he wondered. He wondered if he should tell Rigel Lucas had told them both what had happened at Highguard, and everything. Shaking his head, he walked to the room. He stepped inside, smiling as he walked to the girls and said "Wake up, sleepyheads."

The reddish brown haired little one squeaked a bit as a hand landed on her head. She whimpered a bit, and moved around. She seemed to recognize the voice even in sleep. She giggled a bit but kept her eyes shut, still not quite waking yet.

"Indeed. Such an outcome was unexpected- but 'tis not such a bad thing, yes? Her days shall be spent safe and happy. A secure future for her and the other, so there's no need to worry for them. Lucas will not let anything happen to her, and Rigel shall not let anything happen to the other. " of course there were the obvious issues at play, but those would not be verbally acknowledged by the male at this time.

Estella’s eyes went wide at the sight of the stake, wondering how the Princess got it in the first place. Carved it perhaps? It was crude enough and none of the staff carried such things on themselves. It wasn’t likely someone gave it to her. “My Lady what is-“, however she was cut off by the blonde’s command even though it wasn’t for her.

Meanwhile Rena, who the command was for, took a half a step back away from Orion. Weather thanks to the shock of never having yet heard a command come from Akira, or her training as a maid was a toss up. Perhaps more it was a mixture of both. Of course it could also have very ell have been the stake which the blonde held tight in her grasp which had warranted such a reaction room her as well. Looking from Orion to the Lady of the household, “My Lady! Please! I am sorry I disappeared but.....I.....Lord Rosenwold wasn’t trying to harm me, I swear!”

The spark of anger in her eyes wasn't necessarily for the lady in waiting herself- most of it was aimed at Orion, even though her words were to Rena.

" Nonsense! That's all most of them know how to do- they just take and take and take! They devour the world before them to shape it to their will! " she shook the stake in the direction of Orion. " And him?! Do you realize what he can do, Rena?! This one has quite the atrocious ability, able to sway your emotions. To hold your tongue, even hen there are things that must desperately be said! " a sad gaze at Rena.

"Tis no your fault, Rena. He's tricking you into this game of his, into believing he's a sheep when he's a wolf. You couldn't tell because he's using his power to lull you into a false sense of security. "

" But fear not." if looks could kill, Orion would be long deceased. " I refuse to let any of them take anything more from us. Never again! So here's how this is going to go. Rena, dear- go fetch Rigel. Or Lucas, if you absolutely must. Does not matter until this situation is settled. Go find one of them, and bring them back here immediately.

" Princess, I assure you-

"Oh for once would you just Shut. Up, Orion!" she hissed through gritted teeth.

Even Orion was taken aback by the blonde's boldness. Ouch. She must've learned the truth of her kingdom- only such betrayal could evoke such anger, at least presently. He hadn't done much to incure such reckless wrath from her...at least as of yet.

With pleading, puppy-dog eyes, Orion knealt down behind Rena- gently gripping onto the sleeve of her skirt- as opposed to her skin.
" Perhaps, Ms. Rena, t'would be best if I simply left. Clearly, 'tis more than just welcome that finds my presence to be rather...bothersome. " his head, staring down at the ground now, was positioned just so to hide the amused grin on his face.

Aralynn started shaking a bit with soft laughter. “I see what you are doing mister. It looks like you’re trying to distract me from my thoughts, or did I get it wrong?”, she asked thinking that she saw through the simple pleasures of a mundane conversation. Not that she didn’t like it but thought she could see what Al was doing. “If this is just a normal conversation then so be it but if it’s a little more then that then I appreciate it, but I’m okay. As much as I can be I guess, and you saw the results of my little visit with Akira last night. I’m just....tiered of tears and thought I was long out of them. If anything I was surprised they can still appear.”

“Since you asked though as for Tis what I am most looking forward to the most about arriving home again. Tis normalcy. Happiness. Seeing everyone and getting to meet someone’s mysterious lover or, at least, love interest. I’m looking forward to being with everyone and getting back to caring for the house. Watching sunrises and sunsets. Just being with you and having some peace for a change of pace.”
