The dark haired male flipped the page of the book he was looking through, all the while not looking up from the ancient text before him. Yet he was well aware of when his former friend exited the shadows to join him physically in the study. More then well aware. Lucas was also more then well aware of how...odd...their current situation was. By all rights both vampires should have been hunting each other down, ripping each other's throats out all over the estate long before now. Not just staying in the eldest Renier's study having a casual conversation as though this was centuries in the past again. Back centuries past when the two of them did as they pleased without fear of retribution in some form catching up to them. From human or vampire. "It is not the answers I am seeking in these. Rather these texts are the most likely places to hold starting points for us to then go looking for answers. As much as I may wish it not to do so, this will take us time even with the both of us.", he said monotone, "So make thyself comfortable and perhaps make an attempt to read them while irritating me." Another page turn, "And I am afraid I do not know what you are referring too. My only issues at the moment are ones I am currently dealing with right this moment. Still you are going to tell me so let us hear of this progress."

"I can't wait for the perfect night to view the stars, the only way to see them before was be out and about. But since that never happened after hours I never got to see them. The times I did were our outings.", she said cheerily already picturing what seemed like precious gem stones filling the darkness of night. This time around the blonde didn't even have to step foot outside unless she wanted too in order to see the brilliant bright specks. Aralynn walked along the hallways taking in everything regarding her surroundings from the details of wood to the decor much as she could. They only covered the upper level but the blonde silently thought that the house was already lovely. Elegant and yet there was an undertone of welcome, not unlike what she had felt from the maid who'd come to see her. She hoped she could keep the same air in what Al said was her room as the rest of the house.

Following the dark haired male down the spiral staircase, Aralynn used one hand to hold her skirts so she didn't trip and the other rested easily on the handles. Downstairs had residential rooms just as the floor the pair had come from but it didn't seem at first glance to be as many. So she assumed. It wasn't as though she and Al were going all over the lower level counting each and every door that led to privet rooms. "Its lovely here Al. Maybe settling here will be a lot easier then I thought it would be after all.", Aralynn said before her guide mentioned the kitchen. So this was where she was to go then should she need some sort of sustenance then. "I was going to ask if it wasn't on the tour."

" Now why would I read these boring old books, when irritating you as you so put it is far more fun. Still, you are not wrong in assuming I shall still tell you anyway. But first, answer me this." picking up a random book from the stack, he absentmindedly flipped through the pages. " You see, Orion was telling me something quite interesting. He believes that human pet of yours bears upon her neck the mark of fangs- presumably yours, based off of the emotions he felt radiating between the two of you." briefly he looked up, watching Lucas carefully. " Is it true then? That you bit her?"

" Is that so? Well, hopefully then they will be your expectations and you will find the observatory adequate." he replied. "It makes me happy to hear you believe you will be comfortable here- and I will do whatever I must to ensure that. If you ever need anything do feel free to tell me- in the event I'm not in the manor, you should hopefully find the staff to be personable enough."

The male paused in his reading. His fingers just resting on the side of the page he had currently been studying at that second. Orion. Of course Orion was able to sniff out some of what was going on between himself and Akira, then mention it to Adrain. Reluctantly Lucas replied, “I did.”

The dark haired vampire jumped as a hand came down on his shoulder. He sighed as he looked to his father, whom told him to calm down. He nodded to the other vampire. Oh, look at that, he was using male pronouns again today. He went to the bay window they actually happened to have. He sat there and stared out it, thinking of Fallon.

The male gave Lucas a most surprised expression at his answer." You actually did? Wow, I really must say that surprises me. Honestly I had thought you were just trying to gain her trust- yet how much it seems to bother you is...perplexing. " his gaze then became something else entirely- almost genuine sympathy, but not quite. May I perchance proceed to ask why?

“It was never my intention to take it. And luckily she is so traumatised by the event that she no idea what we are, just that her instincts tell her to stay away from me. Yet I can see she is curious which is not a good thing.”, said Lucas, “My task is to first and foremost keep the heirs safe, as such when a few halfbreeds over stepped thinking to use my charge as a meal I had no choice but to step in. I never expected one of our own kind to use the tool of a human against us. The wound was severe and she was the only source of blood at the time.”

Did you forcefully take her blood, or did she first offer herself to you?"
