She stared down at their hands with a slight frown. This was a moment she would listen to. Her mate was injured at his first mates knowledge. It made her blood boil to think he was injured bad enough that he couldnt shift. She was no saint but that seemed extreme even for her.

A soft sigh left her with all the tension when he said that they both believed in her. “I dont have much faith in myself. I dont want to risk someone else’s life, especially my mates. I thought it would be easier if you were a human because then I would just force you into submission and have you stay here. At least then I would know you would be safe within the pack territory. Obviously you were different and I thought about rejecting you but Athena was upset with the idea.” Another shaky sigh left her. “I lost my brother when I was younger and it was my fault. They wanted me and in process killed him.”

"We aren't going anywhere. " is rumbled soothingly.

Then, there is HER name, "Evara." Is acknowledged, voice filled with hurt. "She.. was a in love with a vampire. When he said he wanted me she convinced us he was her father. We went to ask for permission and -" He clears his throat, "well, he wasn't her father."

He falls silent, "it's not your fault, just like it isn't my fault. They did it. The blame rests on their shoulders and theirs alone. You were a child, children should not taist the evil the world has to offer. "

I didnt want them to die like my brother did.” Tears had started to fall again when her gripped tightened on his hand. “I just wanted you to hate me.”

"We don't... we cant.. hate you. " Rith says softly, carefully turning to hold her with his other arm. "You're our other half. The perfect fit for us. " He presses a kiss to her forhead, "you have us and we have you. You can't fail us."

Rith hums low in his chest, "Evara... gave us to him, and was murdered. But that vampire? He tried and tried to kill us. Couldn't. 'Dreel and i... well... we are different. "

She curled up in his lap as the tears silently fell. “I just hope I dont fail you anymore than I already had.”

A soft growl left her chest as the mention of the female. “She deserved it.” Her head tilted up to look at him; tear streaks canvassing her cheeks. “How are you different?” Her eyebrows furrowed together as she was trying to understand what he was referring to. Was he a hybrid?

"Well," he is silent a moment, considering how to reply, "We have certain... um abilities. " He falls silent.

Jessica was speechless as he was speaking into her mind and projecting images. Her eyes were wide as saucers. It was truly remarkable that he was able to do such things. Though when it came to healing her scars, she quickly her head. “No, I got these when I was younger. It’s the only memory I have left of my brother.” Her head went still as he started playing with her hair. “They are my reminder to train harder.”

There was a loud knock on her door before her mother barged in, angry at her daughter. “You kept me waiting.” She growled softly. Jessica was curious that her mother came into her room and scolded her. “I’m having a moment with my mate and you are ruining it.” Jess snapped. Luna rose glared at her. “Leave me bedroom now and don’t ever see yourself into here again.” Luna laughed and smiled devilishly. “Just because you have a mate doesn’t mean you can act like a brat.”

Jessica stood up from her spot, letting her temper rise. Her alpha aura was suffocating as she stepped to her mother. “I’m alpha and will not let you disrespect me again.” Lunas eyes went dark as she was fighting submission. Jessica’s eyes had gone bright blue as her alpha completely surrounded the Luna. Her head bowed down and she continued to look at the floor. “Leave now.” She roared in her alpha voice. The Luna left but that was the least of the problem. Jessica was losing control of herself.

The wolf immediately wraps his arms around their mate with a loving sound; "Mate," they croon kindly, "our Mate. Safe with us." He kisses her cheek and kicks the door shut with his still bare foot. He glances at the kitchenette off in a small room beside the bedroom. More food... for later. Quick. is again called to the beta and then the female Gama.

Rith and Galadreel humm comfortingly and wait. "Stay Mate. Shhh.. wait Jess. Athena-mate. "

Sebastian was in the middle of work when he heard a strange voice but it sounded familiar. Still it commanded him to obey.

Jessica’s mouth was parted with labored breathing as her eyes looked wild. The muscles kept tensing under her skin and she remained rigid. A loud growl rippled through her chest as he kissed her cheek and did his best to comfort her.

Her heart rate was slowly calming down till the female Gamma knocked on the door and slowly entered. Both the beta and the two gammas were present and on high alert. They had various foods in their hands. Jessica growled loudly with her fangs visible but didn’t make a move. They quickly moved past the couple with their head down and stocked up the small kitchen. It didn’t take long for them to leave.

Her breathing had gotten quieter and she began to slouch against his body, exhausted from stopping the shift. A soft whine left her with every breath.

Sebastian knocked on the door before entering and closed it behind him. He was quite impressed with Jessica not shifting. Though he was still concerned and had questions. He waited to speak
