[Alpha*]

The wolf bares his teeth, as if that could stop them. "Hurt us before. Hurt us again, Jess." Is said, voice sad, hurt, tired. "Said so. Ssaid you'd kill usss." Human speech is hard. They hurt. But how can they trust her? Them? "Not safe." But she promised.

Promises always get broken. But....

Galadreel and Rith go unconscious all at once, slumping forward, though the wolf remains in control. Wholly.

The bed is soft, that's what he notes when he wakens, the den smells of their mate, mostly. He opens his eyes and peers about, noting the bandages. How long?

[Not here]

Jessica had let him go on, feeling slightly bad for threatening to kill him earlier but she had her reasonings. Her life had always been dangerous since she was younger and didn’t want to lose anymore people that were close to her. Her stances changed a bit as she took on his weight when he fell unconscious into her. Her arms immediately wrapped around him, to protect him. Sebastian and Dennis came over to help her. The doctor had dealt with his wounds and gave him some vitamins and minerals to help him heal faster.

Afterwards, Jessica had him brought to her room and laid on her massive bed. Her room was simple, furniture was mainly black with white walls and black out curtains to hide the light. Her fingers gently pushed his hair out of his face before settling in a chair beside her bed with her feet up and a book her one hand and his hand in the other. She felt the need to comfort him despite being asleep. Eventually she fell asleep with the book on her lap.

He takes the opportunity to survey the room, to try to understand. Their mate is here. He inhales her scent, the lilac fragrance of the soap used on the sheets. To feel the roughness of the linin bandages against his skin.

She's asleep and he makes no noise, does not move.

The wolf waits, hearing movement in the hall. Hearing breathing. Somewhere a bird calls. Somewhere an oven door slams shut. It's near breakfast, he thinks, but they ate when they were free and they are prisoners here. Prisoners don't eat regularly.

So why is she holding his hand?

Jessica had suddenly moved, letting go of Rith right as the door open. Nicole, the beta female, walked in with a friendly smile and some plates of food. “Good morning Alpha. I brought up some breakfast.” She chimed as she neared them. Jess leaned forward with a groan as she when the lights were turned on. “I’m guessing you will be working from home today?” She asked and Jess shook her head. “No. I will be taking a break today.”

“Here you go. There’s eggs, bacon, fruit bowl, orange juice and toast.” She stated as the tray was set in front of Rith. “Alpha, what would you like this morning?” Nicole asked cheerful, which drove Jessica crazy in the morning. “Cereal with a cut up banana.” Nicole nodded and quickly left, closing the door behind her.

Jess took this moment to glance at Rith before getting up from her chair and giving a good stretch. Then she moved the chair back over to her desk and laid down on the opposite side of the bed. Her body was tired but she stay up most of the night reading and watching Rith. “You are welcomed to shower after you get done eating, just let me know. We wrapped some hydrophobic bandages and bandaids on your wound. So the water won’t affect the stitches or wound.”

She left the conversation at that and it didn’t take long for her cereal to arrive. She thanked one of the omegas and put on some tv to fill the silence.

"Thank ...you. " Is said slowly to the one who had given him breakfast, he sniffs warily, searching for medications and poisons. Finding none the wolf prays a short prayer and takes a bite of the toast.

Then, their mate is talking, and the television is on. He eats the entire plate, gleeful, as neither entity can cook well... "yes... take shower." He repeats - Galadreel isn't familiar with human things. "What is ..." He motions to the t.v., "that?"

The food is gone, too quickly, as it is the wolf who does it and not the man. He carefully levers himself from the bed and goes to the bathroom without another word: the shower is quickly done not having a chance for the water to heat.

"Mate," is grumbled, "fur? Change fur." Muscle memory allows for a towel to be wrapped around them. "Change fur, mate?"

[Not here]

Jessica was mentally smiling as he finished all his food. Though she refused to show much emotion. He had asked about the tv, which in turn caused her to fill her head. “It’s a television where you can movies or shows....um watch other people act.”

Her eyes watched as he carefully got up went to the bathroom, which she could only assume that he was going to take a shower. Athena wanted to roll around in the spot that Rith was in but Jessica absolutely refused this, finding it super weird.

While he was showering, the beta male came in to give her some work papers. She was in full concentration when reading till Rith came out and said ‘mate.’ Quickly her head snapped up to look over at him but turned away in embarrassment with a cherry red face. Trying to understand his question, she still kept looking away from him and asked “are you asking me for my wolf to come out?”

She got up from her spot and walked into her closet. After a few moments, she was carrying a simple outfit of black for him to put on. However, when she held out the clothes for him to take, her eyes hungrily looked at his body. Athena was growling as she tried to break out but Jessica was fighting back. Eventually, Athena won and took over her human counterpart.

Her voice was kind and gentle but she spoke with elegance and authority. Her ice blue eyes look up at Rith and a small smile crossed her lips as she looked at the love of her life. “May I know your name now?” She purred as she gently pushed some hair out of his face affectionately.

"Change pelt." Is insisted, touching the towel and then motioning with one hand at Jessicas clothing. Then, somehow, she gets it, disappearing until she returns. Gingerly the man shaped wolf reaches out and takes the clothes, stiffening at the touch on his face: touch means hurt.

Turning away he dons the black sweats and sits on the bed to pit on the socks. "No," grunts the male when he sits up. "Jess-mate tries to kill us. Kill Rith. No name."

Still, he recognizes the difference- the tiniest change of scent, subtle change of posture, definite change in tone. "No tell Jess; " is finally relented. "Apologies, then Jess."

[Not here]

"These are clothes dear. I might have a big sweatshirt that would fit you." Athena had turned to give him his privacy and she waited till she saw him on her bed, putting on the socks. "Don't blame her entirely. She has lost some of her family and blames herself. In reality, she wants to protect Rith, even if she goes about it the wrong way. I won't let her injure our mate. She doesn't realize it but we need you. Just give her time." She had moved over to her executive chair, to give him space, with her cheek resting on her hand.

[Alpha*]

"Galadreel," is said finally, voice low and rough. "Name?" Is questioned, tugging the sweat shirt on, shivering at the warmth it provides. His green eyes watch her cautiously: listening to movement in the hall. "Where are we?" Is asked.

[Not here]

"Galadreel," she repeated as if tasting the word on her tongue. "My name is Athena, and I'm the alpha here. Well, temporarily, till Jessica accepts Rith." She boldly watched him put on the sweatshirt, looking over his body and the way the muscles moved. Her body had gotten up and moved in front of him, holding out her hand. "Come on. I'll show you." she offered with a kind smile. "This is Blue Moon Pack. We have a lot of land and actual stores here. Think of it as a small town but all werewolves. We are about an hour away from the city and 30 minutes in wolf from the nearest pack."

She took him out into the packhouse, entering the hallway and meeting one of the omegas. "This is the packhouse. There is just about anything you can think of here. Most of the higher-ranked members live here if they choose to. The first floor is like a common floor. The second is the house workers, and the third is the betas, gammas, and alphas family. There shouldn't be a reason for other pack members to be here." She led him down to the first floor and took him around. Three big dining rooms, a large kitchen, movie theater, recreational rooms with pool tables and such, and the back of the house is an indoor pool. "I won't show you where the infirmary is after last night."

There were a few pack members that said hello in passing but the females seemed to be ogling at Rith, which annoyed Athena but she wasn't concerned.

Next, she led him outside in the brisk air and towards the stores. "If you need anything, just let myself or the betas, Sebastian and Nicole, know and we will either take you there or get it for you."
