1x1 Not Here & Alpha*

[Alpha*]

He can smell them- jumping at the howl. Perfect. But after looking around like a human he makes a small fire, pitches his tent and makes his bed.

Carefully, he goes and checks his snares - coming back with a rabbit. Quickly and quietly he cleans the kill and begins to cook it, before shredding a potato and frying it.

Human. They must be human.

Humming he pulls his boots off, stretching his feet to the fire, and leaning back against a log relaxes.

[Not here]

Seeing him settle in front of the fire, Jessica was annoyed that he thought he could come into her land and make a camp but even so seem relaxed about it. A loud growled rippled through her chest as she stalked forward with her head held high to show her full height. Her piercing blue eyes glared at him angrily. How dare he come here! Along her back the fur was standing up and her tail was fluffed out.

Athena was in the back of her mind ordering Jessica not to harm her mate.

[Alpha*]

He ignores the growl, leaning forward to stir his potatoes and turn his rabbit. Soon after he serves his food and begins to eat it; he hums contentment, and sips his mug of hot chocolate. "Ah," he moans gleefully, relaxing even further and alternating eating and drinking as the fire begins dying and darkness continues to decend.

When his food is gone, belly full, he banks the fire and dozes with a light blanket over his legs.

Her ears were twitching in frustration and her breathing was quite heavy. Watching as he went about his time like it was nothing, annoyed her to now end. Her paws stomped on the ground as she moves forward and uses her claws to drag a the blanket off of him. Then she moves to stand over top of him with her fangs bared from her muzzle pulling back into a snarl. Get out! Now! Her mouth had opened up to show her teeth.

Her beta and gamma found her standing over the male. They were unaware that it was Jessica’s mate since she was acting this way. The beta slammed his body into Jessica’s pushing her to the side. Jessica was growling lowly with her head down. The beta and gamma were protecting some human that only frustrated her even more.

The beta female came out in her human form and went over to the male. “I’m so sorry. Are you ookkay?!” She gently placed her hand on Rith’s arm, which caused Jessica to snarl loudly and launch herself at her own friend. The beta male instantly went to protect his mate and pulled her away quickly. Jess stood over Rith in a protective stance. Despite hating that fact that she had a mate, she definitely didnt want another female touching him.

[Alpha*]

He had opened his mouth to respond, blood leaking from between his fingers. "How?!" He gasps.

Green eyes are frightened like any other humans: they want to kill him too!!! Even his mate! (He recognizes the tingling sensation).

Riths body wars with his souls, and purposefully he stops his healing of the scratches across his chest and abdomen and arms. "What the ... what's going on?!" He gasps, wriggling from under her and taking off running towards his truck as if he is afraid. He hunches over, coughing blood onto a tree, before he heads for his truck. "Help! Monsters!" He coughs, realizing he had dropped his keys and could not drive his truck. He is trying for the road.

And he is not about to go back...

The metallic scent of blood hit her nose and confused her to who’s it was. Her expression softened when she looked down to Rith and saw it was his own. Worry flashed across her eyes as he wiggled away from her and ran. Her mind didnt care for him but her heart wanted to make sure he was ookkay. She cautiously followed after him, letting him have his space till he started to throw up blood. Her legs moved her forward with her head and tail down, just wanting to check on him. A soft whine left her maw as she grew closer, lowering herself to the ground. Once she was close enough, she lay down with her ears laying against her head, trying to make herself less threatening. Her mate was injured and she wanted to comfort him. Once she would find out that he was ookkay, she’d leave him be and go back to the house.

[Alpha*]

Rith bares his teeth, a human snarl - "Go away! Bad dog!" He snaps, voice rough with disuse, "now!" He had thought she, of anyone, would be different. (How wrong they are!)

The man frantically removes his belt and ties a tourniquet around his leg where the worst of it is. Human kin.. let me help.

She will know! They'll know! It'll hurt again! Like before Galadreel!!

Must take the risk.

"No!" Is spat to his wolf side, but it sounds like to the wolves.

Then kill her. Or we die.

No. Rith makes a sort of medical pad out of his shirt.... he stiffens as they are surrounded...

Jessica gave a growl back as she rose back to her height. The bones in her neck cracked and shortly she was shifted back into a human. Her unamused expression was back as she walked towards him. “Dont talk to me like I’m some mutt.” She stated as she calmly pushed his hands away from his leg, to fix the position of his belt. “Shut up and just take my help. I might not like you but i dont like seeing you injured.” Without turning around, she stated “Go fetch the car.” The large brown wolf growled but went to do as he was told.

Her clothes were ripped but there was enough to cover her. “They wont hurt you. Even though you should be killed for coming on to our property.” Her wolf eyes looked up to him before she took a few steps away from him.

[Alpha*]

"Then don't act like one!" Is snarled in return, his eyes an acid shade of green with tiny flecks of silver. He alerts to the movement of a wolf, flinching despite his best intentions. Their scars and injuries ripple at the movement, showing that he has been through much, showing that she is not the first to attack him.

"You called me your mate and then act like this - " He doesn't mean to flinch again as she moves away; instead his knuckles are white as he holds the belt tight on his leg. "What do you want from me Jessica?"

[Not here]

She sighed heavily as she ran a hand through her hair. Her body turned to the other wolves behind, revealing the claws marks on her back and arm. “Leave us.” She said and the wolves seemed reluctant. A soft growl left her as she used her alpha voice. “Now!” The wolves bowed their heads and left.

Jess turned to glare at Rith. “Listen, I don’t want a mate. It’ll make me get distracted and I got a lot of people counting me. I don’t need someone with an ego coming and destroying my family. I have no clue who are and I’m expected to drop everything and trust you?” A more frustrated sigh left her as she ran her hand through her hair again. “I don’t have a choice but to accept you because physically I’ll get weak if I don’t. Mentally I don’t trust you because I don’t know you. I already told you what I needed of you. You take it how you want.”
