Micah Raziel
Be strong now because things will get better.
It might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.
It might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.
Micah could already feel his sisters prodding at their bond, trying to figure out what was happening by his emotions and thoughts. He sent them a quick message to get out of his head and be patient. It was hard to focus on what he had to do when they distracted him. "I am a prince." Gee, wonder how she figured that one out. "I work with my father and mother, the king and queen, while I train to rule. Yes, I follow their orders, but that is part of my responsibilities as a prince to my kingdom. Being royal doesn't necessarily mean I can do what I want." Maybe it was different for demons, but the king and queen were ranked higher than Micah, and he had to obey their wishes. As prince, Micah had a lot of power, but their orders always would override his until the day he took the crown.
To say he hadn't expect this type of response from her would be a lie. He fully expected the demon to put up some resistance. Micah stood unfazed when her eyes began to glow and she shifted into her demon form. A small ball of light formed around his fingers, but he made no move to throw it at her. He had no desire to. He wasn't here to hurt her. He only wanted to talk, but he did want to make sure she knew where she was. A demon like her stuck in an angel cell. It would be wise to keep her temper in check. He made the light ball disappear before he spoke again. "I said you did nothing wrong. I never said we didn't bring you here for a reason. We have questions for you about the war that you can decide whether you answer or not." Micah knew he couldn't force her to do anything she didn't want to do, and he didn't want to anyway.
Echo Rigel
Don't worry about the darkness in my soul.
It ignites me like an embered coal.
It ignites me like an embered coal.
Echo suppressed a sigh when he walked up to his home and realized his parents were inside instead of out and about. He turned around and walked away, not wanting to deal with them now. There were other places he could go for a nap. He didn't need to sleep at home. He made his way to the training grounds for the apprentices instead. But the apprentices weren't what caught his attention. It was a demon, clearly not part of the tribe, wandering around. He could tell by her clothing she was probably royalty. She appeared to be looking for someone. By how everyone was looking at him. Echo could he was who she searched for. Maybe the gossiping was actually right this time.
