Finn had had an awfully peaceful sleep, much to his uttermost surprise. He hadn't once been woken by the slamming sounds of cage doors as prisoners were brought in and out, or the occasional scream or glass shatter as someone attempted to break out. He was met by a tranquil silence, one that gently washed over him, granting him a good night's rest.
The spot he had chosen on the dropship managed to keep its darkness, for Finn was still asleep as the sun rose. Arm covering his eyes, his breathing shallow, Finn slept on without a thought in mind, dreamless. A shaking of the arm woke him up. Dark eyes flying open, Finn rolled onto his back, peaking his head to see who had touched him. Leaning over him stood Clarke Griffin, the girl who'd helped him with his concussion. Her eyes already appeared busy, her mind preoccupied. This girl never paused for a break, did she? With a small sigh, Finn rolled back onto his side.
"Good morning, princess," he acknowledged. "You're up early." Truth be told, Finn wasn't actually sure what time it was, which was the only reason why he got up when she asked him to. He shifted to sit upright, pausing momentarily to stare at Clarke, who hadn't yet moved back. As if to purposely make her feel embarrassed or uncomfortable, he dramatically scooted back, allowing her to realize how close her face had been to his when he sat up straight, then stretched out his sore arms and legs. "You got it. Who else is coming?"
His words were seemingly met by dead silence, though, for Clarke had already started walking away. An amused chuckled escaped his lips as he grabbed his sack, following her outside. She'd managed to pull a group together already, which was fairly impressive, especially since most looked half awake. Swallowing a yawn, he stood between Clarke and a boy with cropped dark chocolate hair, crossing his arms comfortably across his chest. The guy beside him was quite the chatterbox, slinging his arm lazily around Finn's shoulder as he rambled on. With a tilt of his head, Finn gave a slight nod. "He's right," he agreed a moment later. "Finding a lake would be nice."

Octavia had refused to sleep inside the dropship, no matter how much Bellamy had pleaded. She had insisted on sleeping outside, for it was her first day on Earth, and she wanted to treasure it as much as possible. Both Bellamy and Clarke had actually managed to see eye-to-eye and agree on something, which was to get Octavia inside, since they didn't know what could possibly come at them at night, but Octavia was stubborn, and it wasn't long before they gave up. So she cuddled near the log she'd settled on whilst sharing a nice chat with Eli, and the singing crickets put her to sleep.
Unfortunately, Octavia had stirred early, for the sunshine rudely interrupted her sleep, the chirping birds eager to get on with the day. Much to her surprise, however, Clarke was already up, having seated herself on the far side of the ship. Octavia did not approach her, instead choosing to lay on her stomach, nestling her face into her arms. She'd managed to fall asleep again, but for no more than half an hour.
Eventually, Octavia gave up, and sat up straight, taking the time to brush out any knots in her raven black hair. Her ocean blue eyes studied the bright blue sky, taking in the existence of the fluffy clouds. It was quite beautiful; she couldn't believe she and the others had missed out on this for so long. Would the adults up above ever see such a sight in person? It was hard to tell.
A groan left her lips the moment she noticed a small group of teenagers had begun to form, indicating their day had officially begun. Octavia pushed herself onto her feet, yawning rather obnoxiously, as if to prove a point. She didn't let go of the blanket her dear older brother had managed to snag for her, hugging it close to her chest like a child as she wandered up to the group. Surprisingly, Bellamy wasn't there, but she soon realized Clarke was the one that had put things together, and the shock vanished. Though, Octavia realized she hadn't seen her brother at all that morning, despite having been up for only an hour or so. She swallowed a yawn this time, keeping quiet as she awaited further orders. She had a feeling they'd set out soon, and she wasn't ready to miss out on anything.
Natalia Beckett | location· outside dropship (near forest)

Natalia had barely slept. The feeling of being in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people threw her off. Illnesses had sprung from some of the wounds, creating an even more stiff environment. Natalia had done what she could to help wrap as many as possible, but her brain had soon begun to twist on her, her innocent crime mocking her, and she soon refused to see anyone more. Instead, she'd grabbed her sketch book and left, taking a seat near the back of the dropship, where she discovered some teenagers only went for privacy, most likely because it was a bit more creepy-looking than the front, which was much more open. She didn't end up drawing a thing, tears having soaked up her awaiting page. She was homesick. Earth was beautiful, but there was something off, Nat could feel it. She felt it in her bones, creeping up her spine, sending shivers over her skin. So when night rolled around, someone collected her, brought her back inside. She went to a reserved corner and didn't say a word to anyone.
Her sleep was indeed quite terrible. Flashing visions of the crash kept reoccurring, as did the sight of her mother's dying face. Monsters of the unimaginable ate her imagination, and she'd ended up waking even before the sun. Silently, Natalia had crept over sleeping figures, and made her way outside, rounding towards the back, where one person slept on the opposite side. Much to her relief, her sketchbook was still laying in the grass. With a small sigh, Natalia crawled over to it, resting her back against the ship, pulling her knees up enough to rest the sketch pad against her thighs. Wordlessly, she touched the tip of her pencil to the rough paper, and allowed her hand to work. Her vision blurred in and out with fatigue as she created, her mind completely blank, unwilling to let a single thought in. In fact, she didn't even know what she was creating until she brought her hand away from the paper. Below her, a creek had been formed, floating lazily past a few oak trees. To her uttermost horror, however, she'd drawn in a monstrous-looking animal. It was a deer, there was no denying it, but it appeared half alive, with missing body parts. Natalia studied it, her dark hazel eyes skimming over the picture. It was drinking peacefully, but she didn't quite understand why she'd managed to create something like this. In further disappointment, she didn't have an eraser. With a sigh, Natalia shook her head and stood up. She didn't fold the sketchbook back up, but tucked it under her arm, picture facing outward so she didn't have to catch another glimpse of it. Slowly, almost dreadfully, she headed back towards the front, seemingly ignoring the group of people that had gathered. Knowing them, a fight was about to go down, just like last night, and Natalia wasn't in the mood to mother them. So she kept walking, coming to an abrupt halt when her eyes settled on a newly familiar face.
"Good morning," she murmured to Bellamy, approaching him. "How'd you sleep?"
Jaylen Myers | location· outside dropship

Jaylen had been one of the last to retire to bed last night. He'd ended up going out with Clarke, Finn and Vera, though their walk hadn't gone very far, for darkness soon are up the sun's light, and they had no choice but to return to safety. The worst part of the night was the heartache he felt, watching the sunset by himself. Vibrant oranges, yellows and even some pink danced in the air as the sun rolled off to bed. Back in the Ark, years ago, Jay had promised Vera that he was going to be with her when they experienced the first sunset. That had been true, but Vera was nowhere to be found. Furthermore, she refused to speak to him after he helped her fall, which felt like a slap to the face. He ended up watching the sunset desperately, clasping onto whatever hope he had left. Then he went to sleep.
He could've had a better sleep, but it could also have been worse. He woke up twice, both from an unknown noise, which he later figured came from someone sleeping inside the ship. Like a few others, Jay had chosen to sleep inside the crashed ship and not in one of the tents set outside. However, in the middle of the night, it had grown quite hot out, so he exited and found a spot outside. Vera had happened to be up at that time too for whatever reason, and they shared a few brief, somewhat awkward words before parting. When he awoke in the morning, however, he was surprised to find Vera beside him, head nestled comfortably between the crook of his neck. Jay tensed, unwilling to wake her, and utterly confused as to how she ended up here. Was it by choice? He'd clearly fallen asleep before she had. Her beautiful earth-green eyes fluttered open for a fleeting second, but she was clearly too sleepy to take in her surroundings, for she was back asleep again shortly. Fighting a smile, Jay simply stared up at the sky, watching the clouds.
A heart-shattering scream flew from Vera's lips a moment later, and the girl shot up so quickly that Jay was surprised she didn't get dizzy. Her eyes were wild, clearly not present, her face pale, cheeks stained with ongoing tears. The name that left Vera's mouth nearly flew right over Jay's head as he went into protective mode, scrambling to sit upright beside her. She was panicked, and he suspected she wasn't exactly in the present moment.
"Shhh, V, it's okay," he mumbled, rubbing a gentle hand along her back. He didn't dare to do anymore, knowing that with the state she was in, he'd get in a lot of trouble if she suddenly grew angry with him. "Just breathe. You're okay."
