The vampire smiles the smallest bit, looking up to the sky. Thunder rolls
over the town, causing the humans out at this hour to scramble to their
cars, preparing for the storm that has been brewing. Letting out a small
'hmph', he begins walking towards his house. He may not know where he
is in town, but he can always find his way back to the mansion. After all,
it's hard to miss such a tall building that stands on its hill. His shoes tap
as he briskly walks down the road, ignoring the giggling and whispering
of the human who finds interest in him. More thunder sounds, along wi-
th a crack of lightning that paints the sky with a brief second of pure
white. He could just turn into a bat and fly home, but there are far too
many humans nearby. He's im- patient, but not reckless.
Cassius speeds up his walking, sensing the
storm growing closer as the clouds looming in the sky darken further.
A violet wind kicks up, whipping his blonde hair out behind him as a
slight drizzle begins. A brief moment of panic sets in. He may not be
able to get sick, being a vampire and all, but the rainwater would
RUIN his clothes. He's barely out of town at this point; His mansion
is a good hour of walking away. The storm will hit before then. He spies
a nearby house, a castle more specifically, only 8 miles away. If he sprints,
he just might make it in time to take refuge outside beneath the metal
awning until the storm passes. He takes a breath and starts running, hoping
for the best. Roughly 20 minutes later, he's crouched in the dark, merely
admiring the rain pelting down in front of him. It really is quite pretty when
you're not caught out in the middle of it.
