'Kai....' the name was spoken elongated and echoed in his mind. Unconcious he lay in the box surrounded but nothing but darkness. 'Kai.' it beckoned at him again. In his mind a blurred face surrounded by light. 'I'm sorry...we had no choice but to send you up...' she said, as now the voice could be made out definitely that of a woman, she was giving off this comfort, mother-like. There was no movement around him, as the box had not begun to travel upwards yet. His breath was even as he still lay there. But that euphoric calmness ended quickly as it came and he began to feel like he was falling for a moment. His eyes shot open and the voice and name that had been spoken in his mind were already forgotten. Like a dream, you wake up from but instantly cannot recall anything that has happened anymore. "Hello?" he called out but there was no response, just a deafening silence that causes ringing in his ears. His body drenched in sweat as he had himself pushed up in a corner as far as he could get, gripping whatever was around him as if to give him some stability in what was happening.
Suddenly there was this whirling noise, something was starting. And within seconds he was jerked downwards as the box started to climb upwards at an alarming speed. His heart was beating through his chest, finding himself trying to catch his breath as he looked up to where he would be heading, only to be met with darkness again, only quick passing by of lights in whatever tunnel he was in. He cursed under his breath, he couldn't remember anything, who he is, how he got here, where here even is. What was happening. And before he had a chance to react the box had reached its destination, stopping at the top and only a sliver of light peering through what looked like doors of a sort above him. But he remained quiet, afraid he was being offered up as a sacrifice to something. His body was shaking, sweat dripped down the sides of his face as his hair clung to his forehead. It was too small to stand in his confinement so he was slightly squatted in the corner, keeping his eyes on above him.
He heard....voices. But if they were human he couldn't tell. Whispers. Was he a game for them? A toy? It wasn't until he heard the wail of the doors being opened that he really felt fear. Only to be met moments later by a group...of kids that look to be around his age. His eyes squinted to light and he put a hand up to his face to help adjust, the light that now busted through and he could see around him, boxes of what looked like supplies, small farm animals, clothing, etc. These people looked down at him, watched him, but not with confusion, it was like they were expecting him in some way. But that alone gave him the slightest amount of comfort, and he offered a weak smile to them, letting out a heave of a breath that had been held in while he had been waiting for them to open the doors.

Ryuu was cutting up some meat from a pig he had just killed, he hated working but he loved the food so it was a win-lose situation. They knew that there was a box coming up any day now and with that, a new person would be coming up which means a bonfire to be held. He finished cutting up the meat, before taking off his apron he had on which only helped protect him from the mess a little. He would definitely need to change. But right now he needed to take the meat to the cooks in the kitchen. He picked up the meat and walked over to the Kitchen placing it in there with no comments or a conversation with anyone before walking out and heading towards the homestead. But before he could he stopped in his tracks, the sound of the box coming up was faint but he could make it out.
With blood still messily on his shirt, but not visible on his pants he walked over towards it. What a better impression of "Leave me the hell alone." than to have blood on you right? He chuckled to himself, a half-smirk on his face as he waited for the box to be opened and reveal what new annoyance would be in there. Maybe it would be someone he could deal with, tolerate. But oh how he couldn't be more wrong, because when the box opened it presented a tall boy, who resembled Ryuu in some ways. His face was not one that Ryuu could say he enjoyed, already off the bat he deemed it as "Punchable." Which wasn't something out of the ordinary for him anyways. Because Ryuu only was "friends" with very select people. Nagini being one of his only friends here in this cage or at least one of the only people he can tolerate, but that doesn't mean he is any bit sweeter towards her, he is mostly the same towards everyone regardless of their status in his head.
Back to the boy, he looked like a scared puppy for just a moment, curled up in a corner, as all the people around the box looked down at him. But it seemed something changed in the greenie's eyes, in his demeanor, he looked relieved and even offered a weak smile to the crowd. He clenched his hands into fists, what about this boy made him so annoyed already, like he was ready to blow his top and punch him? In the end, he rolled his eyes, the only good thing about this guy was they were to hold a bonfire, drink and eat, and not have to work too late into the night.

Sizzle....Sizzle....
The food crackled as she cooked it, they obviously don't have a stove so they have to cook it over a fire. The meat that was prepared by the slicers was already set up for the cooks. She sprinkled the spices over the meat as it cooks, the warmth of the fire heating her face. She had her hair pulled back in a messy bun, a few stragglers of hair fell into her face. Cooking was one of the only times that Gaia is quiet and calm, her mind and body are too focused on the food that she forgets everything else. She sits on the ground near the fire as she keeps an eye on the meat. The fat and juices dripping into the fire causing it to spit it back out and around or on her. But she didn't mind it too much.
In the background, she could hear a commotion of people gathering, and the box being brought up. She was interested in the person but if she leaves the food would burn and she would never let herself live that down if she fed people burnt meat. She often wondered if she was a chef before she became a part of the glade. With how much pride she holds with her cooking and how well she does it that must be it right?
She turned her attention to the box from across the field before back to the food as she turns it on the spit. There was a slight excitement that stirred in her chest as she thought of who would be coming up from the box, were they nice? Were they fun? Either way she would love them. And the best part would be the bonfire they would have and the party and fun. All the laughing and smiles on peoples faces would be amazing.

Wynn was quietly working, grinding up dried herbs and putting them in glass jars with labels on the, well the best labels they could make at least. She knew today there would be a box, that would mean everyone would gather around the box and all eyes on the greenie. She tends to enjoy being away from the crowd. She remembered the first day she came to the glade. It was a lot different back then. Things were less organized, plants were just starting to get planted, and there were so much fewer people around. She remembered how she felt when she came up from the box. She was so scared, and if she recalls it right, she didn't talk for two weeks. Mostly she had just nodded or shook her head in answers, and for awhile she had been one to run off and hide from the others in the glade. But eventually, she had slowly warmed up to the idea of being here, and around these people, at least until she found out about the maze. How people got stung and went crazy or died in there. How the maze took people she cared about. That frightened her, but it made her realize she wanted to help people as much as she could, so that is how she knew her place was in the glade as a med-jack.
Today times had been slow because most people were worried and setting up for the possibility of a bonfire. So she was quite relaxed with only having to deal with small bumps and bruises. She stepped out the med-shack and sat outside of it, sliding her back down against it as she eventually was sitting in the grass on the ground in front of it. Watching as the people gathered around the box one by one, dropping everything they were doing. She only saw a few that were too busy or didn't care enough to really go. To most a greenie was just another mouth to feed, and while she could understand that, she believed strength comes in numbers and minds. The more people here the more likely they can find out how to leave this place. And the less work everyone has to do because there are more hands.
She sighed to herself as she pulled a strand of hair in front of her face and began twirling it around her finger. Would they always be stuck here? What was out there? Who were the people below them? What did they want? She always found herself asking these questions every time the box came up. She had been having memories return to her since the first night she got there. But none of them really answered any of those questions. She just remembered small parts, like being around all these people here before the glade. She remembers being tested for something. She doesn't like thinking about them too much, but they always seem to come into her mind at the most inopportune times.

She had slacked off today, there wasn't much for her to do anyways, and she really just wanted to take the day off. She was lying back in one of the hammocks, letting one of her feet dangle off and skim the floor. She stared up at the ceiling. She had been trapped in this glade for 6 months, which wasn't too long but also wasn't too new either. But it was long enough for her to know a bit about the maze, and that the box comes up every week, and once a month there is a person in it.
She was in one of her moods of leave me alone or I will hit you upside the head. But when she had heard the alarm that the box was coming up soon something in her shifted and she became rather needy for the attention of others. She stood from the hammock slowly, it had been almost half an hour since the alarm went up which means that the box should be there in a few minutes. She ran her fingers through her hair, playfulness and a flirty look in her eyes. She could hear people talking amongst themselves as the box did eventually come up. She was walking out of the homestead and through the field directly to the box, making her way through the people who did want to stand in the way of her, but not like shoving them, but gently brushing their shoulders as if to make her presence known. She stopped a few feet away from the box and looked down at it. Who would open it this time?
V's hands were placed on her hips as she stood there, impatiently. A slight tap of her foot in the grass before she then moved her arms and folded them across her chest. It was tiresome to not have the attention on her and instead it was all going to be on the Greenie for a while. This means when she was a greenie she relished in it. She absolutely adored it, well at least until she didn't. When she was having a day she wanted to be alone, she was extremely cold and said nothing nice to the person that her eyes had set on. She was pretty sure the girl she spoke to like that, went and cried that night. Not that she really cares, it was quite fun for her honestly.
