anged unexpectedly, waking up alone in her apart
ment. kairi had no other choice but join borderlan
d. that is when she realized you could never trust
anyone in this world, they'll only let you down. it
stuck with her for awhile and she had became a br
utal player throughout her games in borderland. sh
e even became careless. sacrifices were made and
blood got spilled before her eyes. there were deci
sions she had to make, putting her in a tight spot.
which most of them she regretted it and carried th
e guilt with her throughout her life. she's not heart

xxxxxfrom her previous gane, kairi returned to the beach with an injured arm. her free hand held onto it tightly to surpress the pain, continuing to linger on. no one didn't really payed any mind to her as she walked by and a sigh brushed past her lip. she didn't think the game she participated today with others would be rough that it would result an injury on her arm. though, it was only a large gash, deep and somewhat bloody underneath the sleeves of her sweater. the faint color of crimson could even be seen on the surface of the white fabric. but at least kai didn't earn herself anything worst than that. within the span of three days until her next game, she wasn't sure if she would recover by then. otherwise, there was a slight chance she would not make it out alive with the others. whatever her next game was, she hoped she wouldn't be at a disadvantaged for her injured arm. but really, what was she doing this all for? playing games, trying to collect the missing cards wanted by the hatter. when did she found herself living like this? ever since kairi joined the beach, nothing has changed.
xxxxx nearly every day people are risking their lives by participating in games for a chance of survival in borderland. kairi was one of them, fighting to win. the day when the citizens of tokyo suddenly disappeared, the world had became a cruel place. humanity has even changed. there was so much she witness throughout her past games that she doesn't want to remember, dreadful memories she would like to forget. sometimes people dying in front of her would haunt her, hearing the following words: "why didn't you save me?" yet not many people didn't seem to care whether a live or few had been lost, even if everything they had done was all in vain. some still wouldn't, they just wanted to survive. kai could see it in their eyes.
xxxxxas she looked up at the clear blue sky above her, the sun glared at her. everyone around her sounded so happy to be alive, living their life to the fullest as though there was nothing going on in the world. even though, it might be their last day on earth. nonetheless, people like them, sometimes made kairi feel sick. how could anyone be happy at a time like this?— without wanting to stay outside any longer, she headed inside the manor.
xxxxxshe was about to take a turn when a hand had seized her wrist out of nowhere, forcing her to turn around to meet a group of unfamiliar faces surrounding her. it didn't seem like the female grasping onto her wrist was gonna let go and it just had to be the place that hurted the most. "you —" she watched her lips moved but she wasn't listening. their voices saying curses whatever all together drowned in the background, becoming nothing but aggravating dull statics. staring at them with an annnoyed glare, she wanted the group of girls (that she doesn't really know of) to leave already. kairi was exhausted and tried freeing her wrist away. all she wanted to do was get back to her dorm as quickly as possible to patch herself up somehow and rest— a sharp pain out of nowhere brought their voices back alive. "are you even listening? you have no respect for people when they talk, do you?" she asked as her grasp intentionally grew even tighter. there was words kairi wanted to say to talk back but she couldn't find her voice that was trapped in her throat.
