Daniel plopped down on his couch. He pulled a book from his coffe table, which was stacked to the brim with them, and opened it to the first page. But it was blank. He flipped through the pages, and found the whole book to be blank. He closed to the front cover, and where there had been a highly illustrated picture of a kid facing away from the viewer with large red wings stretched out across the front and back of the book, there was just a plain leather cover. Daniel touched it gently, opening it back up. There was a second where the book seemed to radiate with light, hum, and shiver in place, before is suddenly sucked Daniel in. "What the-" He was cut off, as he disappeared into the book. The book hovered for a few seconds more before falling to the ground like a normal book would.

Daniel felt like all the air was being sucked out of him. This went on for half a second before he appeared in the middle of a large, lush forest. He hovered for a second, like the book had, and slammed to the ground. "Ouch," He growled, getting up. Great, now he was lost. He could feel one of his bad moods coming on, but he shook his head. 'Stay positive!' He smiled to himself and started walking in a single direction.
