    MISTYWING #001

StarClan had spoken. She had been the first to arrive (so she did not get sidetracked and ended up delaying their journey) but now every cat had gathered. They had to travel to a place they never knew simply to save their clans. Sometimes she wondered what the sense was in sending individual cats rather than uniting the clans as one--but she wasn't going to question StarClan's judgement. So, she knew she had to go. At least she had company.

The grass beneath her paws felt unfamiliar. It was territory she had walked on for moons, but the weight of the journey ahead weighed heavy on her shoulders. The trees allowed for the sun to carefully shine through the leaves--but Mistywing knew she would soon be leaving the comfort of the forest to be constantly exposed to the sunlight. Yet her mind was racing. Hopeful for some grand experiences she would be able to pass onto new apprentices in the moons to come. It would be nice to be a mentor who taught through personal experiences. She raised her paws and set them back on the ground restlessly as her tail flicked. She stared into space as her mind raced.

What if we got mauled by foxes? Would Swanflight and I be able to heal the others? Would we be helpless? What if we get lost and can never go home? Will we have to become rogues? Being a rogue sounds cool--or a loner. Or maybe we could start our own clan. Can you even start a new clan? Would StarClan approve of that? What if they couldn't hunt anything? Would they starve? Would StarClan let them starve? Would they even approve of this or would they change their minds?

She shook her head. If StarClan had approved of her medicine cat training and did not send any signs of danger, surely then she could handle this. If StarClan willed it, then surely they would accompany them from the stars. They wouldn't just send cats into unknown territory for no reason, right? It seemed as if she missed some important information as her ears flattened nervously. The end of her tail refused to stay still as she searched the faces of the other cats for some sort of clue of the conversation.

"Are we ready to go?" she piped up softly after a moment.

    SUNSIGHT #001

She was surprised when her leader, Mousestar, had selected her for the journey. Sunsight wasn't the strongest cat, nor the best hunter or the most strategic. She had settled quite well into the role of peacekeeper. Sunsight wasn't sure what Mousestar was expecting to happen on this journey--but she wasn't about to doubt his judgement.

Sunsight wasn't the biggest fan of interaction. Even as a young kit and apprentice, she preferred isolation to the socialisation the likes of patrols and gatherings provided. While it had delayed her apprentice ceremony, she was happy to complete her duties in solitude when available. Maybe that's what the motive was. Nevertheless, she had been the last to arrive. She loved the comfort of the trees and didn't like the idea of being so exposed to the elements. She wondered if this journey was even a good idea at all. Did StarClan really believe this was a needed adventure?

Protecting medicine cats was a daunting task. She wasn't sure how Darkblossom was feeling--but Sunsight was rather concerned. Mistywing looked to be rather spaced out and she couldn't help but worry if the cat's ditziness would cause issues down the line. Mistywing had the reputation of being rather spaced out even within her own clan. Maybe that would change when they were in an unfamiliar environment.

The ginger molly stood forward and dipped her head to avoid eye contact. "So... is everybody ready to go?" she murmured after a moment--almost hoping nobody had heard. She wanted to return to MistClan territory more than anything. Stay in the familiarity the clan territories provided. But if her leader believed in her and StarClan needed her to--she knew she had to go. After hearing responses, she turned to Mistywing, who had remained silent.

"Are we ready to go?" Mistywing piped up softly after a moment of observation. Sunsight flicked her tail in dismay. This journey could be harder than she anticipated.

the fluffy white molly had received starclans warning along side her mentor, goldendapple. the two medicine cats had an incredibly strong bond, with swanflight viewing the golden dappled tabby molly as her second mother. not that swanflight and her mother, snowstep had any issues. swanflight adored her mother with all her heart, but snowstep had not always been there when swanflight needed her, her mothers depression clouding her view of the special things she needed to hold on to. it had been her father, beetlewing who had delivered starclan's message to her and it had been swanflight who had woken goldendapple, despite the fact that the other molly was also receiving the message.

when the two medicine cats had spoken to their leader breezestar, swanflight had been caught off guard when the decision was made to send her on the journey instead of goldendapple who had moons more experience than her. but the decision had been made, goldendapple was much older and weaker, and the leader feared this would slow the journey. before she had left to meet the other three cats who would accompany her on the journey to find a new home, the familiar scent of a cat she had not smelt in a very long time waffted into the medicine cat den. turning she had spotted the black coat and bright eyes of her sister darkblossom standing next to the leader of swanflights clan. darkblossom informed her that brookclan had allowed her to be the cat to partake in the journey, considering her ties to her sister, the leader had willingly let her go.

now here she was, sitting beside the familiar form of her sister darkblossom. it felt so strange to suddenly be with her sister, after all those moons they had been separated by an evil soul, now they were back together. the molly's ears swivvled in the direction of mistywing who had asked if they were ready to go. glancing briefly around at the three molly's with her, swanflight nodded her head standing up "ready as i'll ever be" she meowed her voice soft and calm, despite the fact that deep down inside her heart was pounding like crazy. please starclan, let us all return safe. guide us on this journey. do not let us fail. i beg you please. please.. leaving the side of her sister, swanflight padded up to mistywing "how are you feeling?" perhaps this was a stupid question? no one knew what they would face on their journey and she was certain that the comforting shade of the territory she called home would not follow them all the way through their journey. what would they face out there? what dangers would they have to overcome? only starclan knew the answer to those questions.

darkblossom let her amber gaze slowly drift over mistywing and sunsight. it felt strange to her that the medicine cat of her, brookclan, and sunsight's clan, mistclan had not received a message from starclan. at all. it made her question what was so special about frostclan and mistywing's clan. perhaps they just had the youngest more able medicine cats? there was no way that frostclan's medicine cat would have been able to survive a journey like this. hornetsting was far too old....and not to mention cranky to go on any sort of journey really, and his apprentice marigoldpaw had only been his apprentice for two days, having just had her ceremony. so se certainly was too young. perhaps that was why frostclan had not received a message from starclan? but what about sunsight's clan? this bothered the black molly a little bit but she wasn't going to let that drag her down. this was an adventure, and perhaps a few moons where she can be with her sister in piece, without blackheart, her adopted father, breathing down her neck reminding her of his threat should she ever leave clan to visit her sister. however, the awful tom had not realised that swanflight was the medicine cat of frostclan, so when elmstar stated that a warrior was needed, blackheart only congratulated his daughter for volunteering...well if it could have been considered a congratulation, the tom had told her that her 'sacrifice is not in vain" honestly, she was glad to be rid of him, for the next few moons or so.

darkblossom turned her attention to mistywing who had asked if the group was ready, the molly nodded her head enthusiastically and glanced around. it appeared she was the only one who seemed remotely excited about the idea of an adventure. the idea of being able to see what lay beyond the edge of the forest that they called home, to see what other beautiful places the world had, excited darkblossom so much. the black molly had always been an adventurous feline, always making up stories of adventures she had gone on to entertain the clans' kits. this time she would have a real tale to tell them....that is if they got back...no she was certain they would. thinking negatively would only bring negative events to the journey and these were certainly not needed.

seeing her sister make her way to the other medicine cat, darkblossom decided to strike up a conversation with the other warrior who would aid her in protecting the two slightly more vulnerable medicine cats. "morning sunsight. i suspect we have a long day ahead of us. did you eat anything this morning?" darkblossom had, though she had made her sister eat something as well, despite her sister saying she was too nervous to eat.
