Bailey opened her eyes as the alarm clock in her dorm went off. She stretched as she got out of bed and went to their shared bathroom to get ready for the day. She brushed out her hair and did her makeup how she liked it before putting on her robes. She walked up from the dungeons to the Great Hall with her friends for breakfast. She put two pancakes and a side of eggs on her plate while listening to the daily announcements. Boring as usual, today was mail day so she got a letter from her parents reminding her to get good grades and keep a close eye on Liam for the dark lord. She rolled her eyes and gave the letter back to her owl so it would be disposed of quickly. She’d write a letter back to them later.

Braxton awoke to the warm sunlight streaming into his face. He went over and woke his best friend Liam up as he was still sleeping. “Goodmorning nerd,” he said teasingly. He walked into the bathroom and pulled a comb through his hair before sliding on his robes. He threw his dirty pajamas from the night before down the chute and waited for his friend to be ready before heading down to the Great Hall. When he saw Lily at her own table he gave her a smile and a wave before taking a seat at his own. He was starving and the waffles and bacon were practically calling his name. He loaded up his plate and began eating. He got a letter with some Galleons in it from his parents for his trip to Hogsmeede the next weekend.

Lily woke when her alarm went off. She wasn’t very close with any of the girls in her house. She got ready for the day and dressed in her robes. She was down at breakfast much earlier than the others. She sat at the table and ate a piece of toast and some pumpkin juice. She looked over as a bunch of boys came in. She saw Liam and Braxton and waved back at him with a smile. She was good friends with them even though they were in different houses. She finished eating as the owls came. She didn’t receive one but wasn’t worried since her parents were muggles after all. She stood when she was done and went over to Braxton and Liam. “Good morning!” She said to them.

Liam groaned not wanting to get up. “Morning.” He said and got up and got ready for the day slipping into his robes. He yawned as they headed to breakfast. He loaded his plate with food and started to eat. He didn’t receive an owl today. He looked at his friend. “Wow. Money for hogsmeede!” He said with a smile. “Hey Lily!” He said kindly.

Bailey turned to look at the people talking at the table behind her. She rolled her eyes when she noticed who it was, the golden trio. That’s what she called them at least. She turned back to finish her food before it was time for her first class. As soon as she was finished she headed down to potions with her friends Alyssa and Cara. She took her seat in the third bench and waited for class to start.

Brexton smiled at Lily. “Hey! Aren’t you excited to go to Hogsmeede next weekend?!” She questioned with a dorky smile. He looked at the time and started rushing to finish his food. “Come on Liam it’s time for potions, we’ll see you in Magical Creatures class Lily!” he chirped before grabbing his books and rushing down to potions class.

“I am so excited! The three of us will have so much fun! They are going to let you go right Liam?” She asked. Liam shrugged. “I hope so.” He said to her. He ate his food quickly when he saw the time. “See you later Lily!” He said and ran off with him. Lily waved. “Bye!” She called smiling before she headed to her own class. Lily sat in her history of magic class and took notes. She was a bit of a nerd so she loved this class. It was interesting learning the history she didn’t know well from her parents.

Liam ran into potions class and past the table Bailey was at. He sat down in his seat at the table he shared with Brexton. He sighed. He pulled out his book glad they weren’t late yet but had made it just in time. He glanced over at Brexton. “I will talk to the headmaster about going to hogsmeade.” He whispered to him. He hoped that he would say yes.

Bailey looked at Liam while he walked past. His face was just so annoying to her. She sighed and went to pick up her cauldron and the ingredients for the amortentia potion. She listened to the lecture and put the ingredients in when told to. “What does yours smell like?” Asked Alyssa with a smirk. Bailey sniffed hers and furrowed her eyebrow. “Uhh, honey and there’s a hint of coconut... Maybe even like a bit of smoke like they hang around the fireplace a lot or something...” she answered after smelling it.

“We’re seriously making an amortentia potion... now all the girls will be smelling their crushes to see what they smell like...” Groaned Brexton. He put the ingredients into his cauldron and took a deep breath. “Honeysuckle and Coffee...” he said to Liam. “Vaguely familiar but can’t quite place it. Eh I’ll find them someday, how about you?” He said with a smirk.

Liam sighed. “Really? It is so weird that we are making this one. I don’t see why we need to know.” Liam said as he worked on making his. He couldn’t place what his smelled like. He thought for a moment. “Um... like flowers and...orange but there is something else too that I can’t place...” he said to him. He was curious. “Someday I will find them. I am not worried about it. I just hope we don’t have a whole bunch of girls smelling us now.” He said to him with a chuckle. “That would be so weird.” He said. He looked around the class seeing a few girls looking at their table. He looked back at Brexton.

Bailey brought her vial up to snape for him to approve of the potion. She got an A on the assignment and walked back to her table happily. Potions was her best class as she was one of Snapes few favorites. She sat back down and chatted happily with her friends for the rest of the class.

Brexton nodded, “Yeah girls can be pretty crazy. And a lot of them fan girl over you if you couldn’t tell!” He said laughing. He playfully shoved Liam into a girl before quickly walking up to snape to get his assignment grades.
